They were quick to respond and provide a quote. The price was very reasonable compare to other companies that wanted to charge a higher minimum charge for a small job. The repairs were completed quickly and I received a clear explanation.

I had a few estimates and they were very competitive. Another contractor was about $6000 over Summit. Summit is scheduled to do the work.

We love the new look of our house. Workmanship was excellent, workmen courteous, and clean up thorough. They could have done a better job of communicating with us when, for example, the manufacture of siding materials was delayed. When the front porch pillars weren't vinyl wrapped to our expectation, they came out promptly and did a beautiful re-do.

I’ll start with that when I called Summit Roofing, I actually got a real person on the phone and not an answering machine. They took my information and within 15 minutes Dan called to set up an appointment. Dan came out promptly. We walked around the entire house. Dan listened to all my concerns about the roof and gutters. He then explained their services to me. He explained the type of materials they use. He gave me a printed estimate right then and there along with a brochure on about the material Summit Roofing uses. He told me if my husband or I have any questions to just call. We did call with extra questions and Dan would call back with the answers. When the time came to put on the new roof, Sean (the owner) showed up with his team. They covered my house to protect it while they ripped off the old roof. They even covered my little garden which is near the house to protect it in case anything fell from the roof. They then installed a brand new roof, gutters, and gutter helmets. Sean and his guys worked quickly and professionally. I was very impressed with the whole job. Summit Roofing gave us the best price, the best quality of workmanship, the best quality of materials, and the best guarantees. I highly recommend them!

Allstate, our homeowners insurance at the time would only give us half of that. Sean and his brother went to bat for us with Allstate, met with Allstate adjusters and helped us get more money from them. They went way above and beyond to help us manage the negotiations. We worked together to chose the best roofing and they had the work done very quickly. It is a beautiful roof and we are very grateful. They also installed new shutters for us that matched the roofing. We couldn't be happier. They are so responsive and generous with their knowledge and expertise. We are now looking to them to install superior insulation in our home to make it more efficient. Fantastic company! Would highly recommend using them for any number of services!

The representative who came out to assess and provide the estimate was very knowledgeable and explained how the soffit and ridge ventilation combined with insulation serves to keep the snow on the roof from melting and refreezing into ice dams. They came out promptly to do the work, put a dumpster in the driveway with 4x4s underneath to protect the black top, removed the old shingles and plywood, installed new plywood, shingles, ridge vents and soffit ventilation system, cleaned the place up perfectly inside and out, and were gone in a day, including removal of the dumpster. They came out a few days later to install the attic insulation and were done in 3 hours with the whole place cleaned up again. They let em know up front when everything would occur and kept to the schedule. The total price was $2500 less than a competitors bid, and the competitors bid did not include the upgraded ventilation system. 5 stars all the way.

Dan came out to prepare estimates for some other roof/siding work and identified the chimney flashing as a serious concern. Sean and Drew custom fabricated sections offsite, and then installed the metal pieces and used caulk to fill gaps between the chimney masonry. Not only is the chimney now ready for winter weather, but also aesthetically pleasing. From start to finish, the Summit Team demonstrated good communications, high attention to quality and detail, and customer focus. Will definitely enlist their services for additional work next year.

I would highly recommend Summit for a roof replacement. I found the price reasonable, the workmanship outstanding and the work crew very professional. They were very punctual and finished the job on time. They paid lot of attention to cleaning up the job site.

Summit put on a new roof for us three years ago. We thought it went well, until this past spring when we noticed several birds' nests in the corners where our gutter helmet pieces joined, and rain water pouring over the sides of them. We called our gutter helmet representative who inspected the gutters, and said that they were in great need of repair. They told us that they had been removed by the roofer, thus terminating our life time warranty with them. We turned to Summit who came, put on new gutter system called Gutter Pro (25 year guarantee), and only charged us a fee for materials. Pretty impressive service from a company who did work three years ago!

One Sunday evening I discovered a huge hole in the gable vent in the front of the house. I called several siding companies to get estimates. I told each contractor that if they could not fix the hole when they came (for example, they needed to order a new vent), then at least they should be prepared to cover the hole. Within 24 hours of my calling Summit, Summit was willing to come out, provide a quote and, at a minimum, cover the hole. They were the only siding company to do so (provide an estimate and guarantee that they could at least cover the hole). Dan and Sean both came out to provide an estimate. They quoted me a reasonable price ($375) to replace all three gable vents Although only one had a hole, the other two were on their last legs. Just as importantly, they covered the hole right after I agreed to the price for the job. About a week to 10 days later (I was leaving town for the rest of the week the day after they first came out and the following week was July 4 weekend), they called to schedule an appointment. When Sean quoted me the price, he believed that his supplier would have the size for my vents. Unfortunately, he was mistaken as the size of the gable vents was not standard. Instead of simply saying that the only option would be to customize each vent (at a cost of $185 per vent), Sean tried to look at Lowe's and Home Depot. When he did not find any there, he decided to get a slightly smaller side and add a material to cover the remaining space in the same color (white) as the vent. Although Sean's mistake about the availability of a size of the vent that matched the exact measures meant that he had to come back two days later, his willingness to come up with a solution outside the box more than made up for the small delay. Overall both Sean and Dan were very professional throughout the entire process. I have 2 small nit-picky complaints. First, on the first day that they were supposed to come, evidently they were running late because of traffic (totally understandable). Unfortunately, they did not let my wife (who was the one who was home) know they were running late (about 45 minutes late). She had to call them first. Second, if you have to reach them, they are easier to get a hold of via email rather than phone. When dealing with contractors, I prefer to communicate via phone. Nevertheless, they timely responded to all emails.

Couldn't ask for a better contractor. Responded promptly to initial inquiry, provided a very reasonable estimate and performed the work to my schedule both efficiently and professionally. Just outstanding!

I needed 5 or 6 roof vent pipe boots/seals replaced. Called in May and spoke with Dan on a Tuesday. Very pleasant. Described what I needed and Dan said someone would come by to view and estimate on Thursday. The following week, having heard nothing, I called Dan and left a message. No call back...these things happen, I guess. So, a week or so later, I completed an inquiry on their website and never got a reply. So I arranged for a different contractor to do the work.

We moved into our first home and were devestated to find out that we had several problems including mold and water in the basement. I was in the process of chosing a company to remedy this situation when I emailed Summit Roofing & Siding due to their great reviews. The issue was that we had mold in our attic, and I wanted a roofing company to assess the situation, give a quote on insulation, and on installing gable vents, an attic fan, or whatever else they thought was appropriate. Dan MacDonald responded fairly quickly and set up a time to meet. He was a very nice guy to talk to, seemed knolwedgable, and I was confiedent it would be a good experience in the middle of a very bad one. The problem came in getting a quote. I never received a quote after a few days, and I emailed Dan. He never responded. I then called him a few days later and he acted like he had sent the quote, but said he would send it again. I waited a few more days and then emailed him again providing alternative contact information just in case. Dan never responded. I called back angry and left a message saying please call if he couldn't do the work; he never called back. Weeks later we hired contractors and had the basement work done and old insulation removed. We contracted another company to do the insulation, and my brother in law and I ended up having to install the gable vents ourself, depsite not having the proper tools or skills to do so. His lack of response made an already difficult and complicated situation (that we are still dealing with) more complicated. It also left me feeling like you can't really rely on anyone. The reviews for roofing companies in the area are far from fantastic, so my best wishes to you.

Dan responded immediately to my call, asked when he could come out for an estimate that was convenient to me that fitted into my work schedule. Showed up right on time and diagnosed the issue immediately and quotes a reasonable price. The work was completed a week later when we finally had a dry spell, no issues at all. I recommend them highly and would certainly use them in the future.

It went really well! I was indecisive about the colors I wanted for my roof. They helped me decide by directing me toward examples. I found this to be so helpful. Since we were selling our home we asked for them to extend the warranty to the new owners, and they helped us out! The job was done beautifully, and they cleaned up very nicely! I had a great experience using this company.

From the first meeting until the last Dan and Sean were friendly, patient and professional. We took a long time between our first quote and getting the work done and they were very patient with us. Dan came to our house and explained all of our options and his recommendations. They were good about keeping in touch and letting us know when the work would begin and what days the team would be here. They cleaned up everything when they left and the team was very friendly. Our new roof and gutters make our house look much better and we're happy with the materials, the warranty and the price! We had 4 quotes and they were in the middle of the pack but they warranty and materials were on par with the more expensive quotes.

Quality work . Highly recommend . I am still receiving compliments from friends . I was so happy that I was also able to purchase my Flyers club box still because I was within my budget.
