Description of Work: We are purchasing a 65 year old home and hired George Allen's company to come and inspect the existing septic/cesspool system. They were on time, reasonably priced and gave us a thorough explanation and their honest opinion. Very pleased with the work they performed.

Description of Work: I called George Allen Wastewater Management to provide a septic system inspection on a house that I will be purchasing. They were very helpful and responsive in terms of setting up the appointment (I was trying to cooridinate septic, well, and general home inspections for the same day); they even called the well inspection company to confirm that the water usage of each inspection would not preclude the other's inspection. The inspector came out on time, was very professional, and helped educate me about the system (as a first time septic system owner, this is no small point!). He walking me through the components, the location/layout of the drain field and tank, and he showed me, by mirror reflector/flashlight, a crack in the tank that will need to be repaired. In other words, these were just the types of things you would want from a septic system inspection prior to home purchase. I would feel very comfortable having them do the work based on my experience with the inspection process.

Description of Work: Called George Allen after the septic inspection on a home we were under contract with. Needing an estimate right away, Steve sent his guy out to the house to inspect the sand mount & tanks that afternoon. Purchasing the house "as is" we were really worried about the cost of repairs. Steve emailed me the very same day with an estimate for $1080 to repair a broken sand mound pipe,install a new inlet baffle on the solids tank, reseal the inlet pipes and pump both tanks. We have since moved into our new home and had George Allen do the repairs. They did all the work I expected them to do and on time. I could barely even tell they had a machine in my yard. Great company that I would definitely use again. A+
