My heater stopped running properly. When I called my heater company for service they told me the chimney was backed up. They had to shut off my gas heater due to carbon monoxide concerns. It was February. It was cold! I called Estates Chimney around lunchtime the same day. By 3:00 they had a technician at my house who cleared the debris (which allowed me to turn my heat back on) and reviewed the problem. I needed a new liner installed. The clay liner installed when the house was built in the 50's was crumbling blocking air flow up the chimney. The day of the install they arrived on time and it took less than an hour for them to have everything up and running. Hooray! I did not comparison price shop with this repair. I used this company for my liner install because they were so responsive on the day my heater went down. All of the people I spoke with were extremely nice and friendly.

The representative arrived on time. He listened to my concerns. Work was performed efficiently and thoroughly. The total price was pretty good. The representative was professional and cordial.

We had our chimney cap loosen up because of hurricane Sandy. We contacted Estates and they sent a repair man the next day. We didn't have to be home. He just got up on the roof and secured the cap and assured us that all was well. He left us the invoice, and I went over to the office immediately and paid them. Service well done!!

They usually charge around $180 for a chimney sweep service. They charged us somewhere between $2000 and $3000 for the wood stove installation. Generally, they know what they are doing and they are professional. Although, one time we needed service fairly quickly but we didn’t get it and the person on the phone was kind of snotty. We have been dealing with them for ten years and other than that one time, the service has been good. They are pretty much right in line with others as far as pricing goes. Generally, they have done work perfectly; it has been good and they have come pretty much on time. Overall, they have been good but there have been times that it has been otherwise.

I used your research tool in fact, for the job that I had. I went with Estates Chimney which I was very pleased with as I felt that Estates was better for this particular job. I don't remember how far I worked with them. I wish I could remember why I chose Estates, but I was very pleased with their research tool. I probably called all of them on Angie's List and I described my problem. I had a 250 year old chimney, and it looked like they were doing modern buildings and I probably discounted them. I don’t remember where I found Estates. They were prompt and these are minor things but they left the building in perfect condition. They had a helper that was vacuuming anything they messed up. They did a great job and they explained the usage of the new fireplace; because it's a whole new technology for me. It was a good experience basically, a very good experience. I've already recommended them to someone. The work turned out excellent, and there was no problem. They are jack of all trades; they fixed quite a few problems, I already have used them again. I was happy with their price. I have another building which they've come in twice now to work on. I called them and I said that I'm using them again because I was happy with their service.

Estates chimney is a breath of fresh air. I think that is very important to have a company you can rely on for chimney problems considering you probably do not want to climb up on the roof to make sure the diagnosis is legitimate. If I could give Estates Chimney an A++, I certainly would :)

The technician arrived early, was very professional and did a thorough job of inspecting and cleaning my chimney. I had a small air down-draft problem that was resolved with the cleaning and he gave me some excellent alternatives to consider in the future to prevent this. No pressure to buy any additional services, and recommended that I go on the web to do some additional research before making my decision. I have used their services for over 20 years and have always been pleased.
