Description of Work: The experience I had with North Pittsburgh Heating and Cooling (owned and operated by Tim Sheffer)was without a doubt the worst I have ever had with a contractor. He charged me $8 thousand to install two air conditioners and heat pumps, did a rotten job, was never on time, and neither of them work properly; there is so much vibration, they both sound like jet engines. I've asked him several times to come over and have a look. (I waited to write this review to see how he would respond to requests for service.) Most recently, I contacted him 4 days ago because one of the heat pumps they installed wasn't working and it's cold here in Pennsylvania. I just got an email from the guy saying he was busy but possibly could make it over middle of next week--10 full days after I asked him to come over. He's no doubt busy fixing problems that he caused at other customers. Luckily I didn't wait for him to respond, but had someone competent over to fix the thing. This guy Sheffer talks a good story but doesn't know what he's doing and doesn't stand behind his work. Disgraceful. Beware. I'll also be contacting the Better Business Bureau.
