I had expected someone to show up who was a duct expert, but I didn't feel that the person who came had a superior understanding of the working of the heat/cooling ducts in my house, nor any real solutions to the problem of heating and cooling a big old house that already had one heating system. When the estimate came in, it was excessively high. Less expensive alternatives were not explored or presented as an estimate. In the end we went with Meenan Oil and Chris Sweeney, the best troubleshooter and the most honest that we've met. No b.s. from Chris. Ever.

They did fine. I was happy with what they did. However, it was a mess when they left. So they did a good job expect for the cleanup. They were very professional. I don’t remember if they were punctual or not, it was a long time ago.

Went extremely well. Very little work on my part. I made the phone call, they told me when they could be there, which would have been the next day, but that day wasn't good for the tenant. So the day after that, they came at the time they said they would be there and took immediate care of the heat.

Very prompt and polite. Did the work efficiently and correctly. I thought the charge for tightening the kitchen sink faucet (almost $100) was a bit much, but the explanation was that if it had to be done laying down (it did), then the minimum charge was that high. I would say ask about all the pricing details in advance so there are no surprises.

Henderson came during a storm emergency, pumped water out of our basement and came back the next day to install a water heater. They could have repaired our furnace, too, but I have a contract with another company. I am grateful to them for their speedy response and their help.

only one flaw in the execution. The vendor left the test cables on and within a couple of hours it was freezing in the house and I could not adjust the temper setting because of the test jumpers. I called them and even though it was after regular hours, the service answered the phone; and within 10-15 mins the vendor called and then came over and removed jumpers and all was well.

I use them all the time. They're terrific. It's a complicated old house and getting things to work in a really old complicated structure is a challenge in the extreme and with this past winter, I'm so thankful that I contacted them. They completely ripped out all the heating system of oil and converted it to gas. They're still the people I use. It was terrific. It is a terrific company and all licensed. They know what they are doing. It was expensive but you also get what you pay for. Their labor charges are a little higher than you would find with other people but the professionalism and the level of the people they are sending out, they know what they are doing. It was absolutely worth it. Everything they did was terrific. They come out at the drop of the hat. I can leave the key and let them go in the house without anybody there and it's completely safe. It's a very good company. We bought one of the really high level quality and it's efficient. They picked out the right boiler for the property and all the work was fabulous. It was the right price. It wasn't too high for what they were doing. The experience and everything else and price per hour was right on schedule and they didn't charge more than their proposal price. I had a ton of questions and they were very patient. I can't say enough about them. They are professional on the phone and on everything.

Our heater stopped working the day before a big storm was expected. I called many places and Henderson was able to send Rich that night. Rich determined that we needed a new inducer. Because of the storm he didn't come back until the day after the storm. He was very professional and did a great job - we now have heat. I was a little disappointed at the cost. It was much higher than Rich originally suggested. But Rich did pass on a $36 coupon that he had with him, which of course I appreciated

They came quickly and when they said they would and completed the repair for a fair price. I have used them for many jobs - both big and small - and am very pleased with the work they do and their customer service

Selected this company based on positive reviews from Angie's list members. Initial call was answered by Alice who was extremely pleasant and listened to my problem. I explained that there was a small leak under the kitchen sink on one side ( we have a double sink) and that it was not an emergency. She gave me an appt. for two days later which was wonderful. On the scheduled day, she called during the window for the appt. to let us know when the plumber would be arriving ( again, very pleasant). Steve K. arrived to fix our problem - he introduced himself and immediately put booties on his shoes before entering our home. He looked at the problem and explained the source and cause of the leak and what it would take to fix it. We also asked him to look at the S-Traps on both sides of the sink since they looked like they were deteriorating and we had a prior incident years before with a flood when one of the S-traps developed a hole. He inspected them and told us that they were wearing down but not in immediate danger of leaking and it was up to us if we wanted to have them replaced now or wait. We asked him to price the job both ways which he did and we decided to have the traps replaced along with the original work. No pressure/no hype on his part - just answered our question and gave us the options. I also asked him to look at the faucet that had just been replaced by another plumber in the past 30 days - the pull down sprayer was very difficult to reseat and we were not happy with how difficult it was to pull out. He very graciously looked at it and immediately said it should not be functioning that way and told us that if we called Delta and explained the problem that Delta would send us a new sprayer head at no charge. I did that while Steve did the other repair and Delta is indeed sending us a new replacement part - thank you, Steve ! I am very happy that I called Wm. Henderson and will not hesitate to use them again.

Our drain pipe to the street cloged and our basement flooded. We had one company come out and clear the drain, but he was not a qualified pumber and was not wiling to relight the pilot. I tried to do it myself, but failed. They came out and relight it. Very quickly, but I was shocked to see the price. It was on the weekend, and we needed water, so I paid it.

Great service! I called in the morning with no hot water and a pilot light that kept going out. I was told someone could visit in the afternoon and even got a call to see if I could be home earlier. The technician who turned up was very friendly, helpful and courteous. He diagnosed the issue rapidly and provided me with various options and prices as well as a recommendation. I selected to replace the water heater due to its age which was done the same afternoon very efficiently. I was talked through the work on completion and even made aware a a low water pressure issue. I would definitely recommend and will certainly re-use William Henderson again, thanks!

This was an enormous job - "the big dig" I called it - and required extensive excavation along with the other work, the workmen from Henderson were excellent - thorough, professional and efficient.

It went very well. He informed us of the workings of everything in detail and made me confident of everything he did. He was very personable as well as professional.

I contacted Henderson via Angie's List. The scheduler contacted me the same day. After I explained the job she scheduled us at a mutually convenient day and time. Our whole house humidifier had not been functioning properly last winter and seemed to not be working at all. The technician who assessed the system showed me how the water intake to the unit had begun to disintegrate and the valve as well. He offered several options which included just replacing the bad plumbing or purchasing a new unit and what units he recommended. He also suggested an annual maintenance plan which would defer the cost of the water pad. I believe in maintenance plans as long as the company is reputable. I purchased a new humidifier based on his recommendations and a quick consumer check online, and a heating cooling maintenance plan. This is why the cost was higher than the $900 I expected for the amount of work. After the unit was ordered, I was contacted to schedule installation. A different technician provided the work. This was not a simple switch out. The original unit was placed on one side of the duct work before we finished off our basement. We had a small access panel to get to the unit. This was not ideal. The old unit and plumbing was replaced and the new unit mounted in a much easier location for us to manage. The hole in the duct was repaired. The technician was here performing work for a little over 4 hours. I am pleased with our new humidifier. The schedule did not allow for our heating service to be performed the same day. The scheduler for the company has been wonderful keeping up with me and reminding me to schedule service. Thanks Jennifer. Very pleased with everything so far.

As stated above, they were able to identify the source of the leak as being the toilet but I had to have another plumber come out to indicate it was not the wax seal leaking but rather the fill valve was leaking due to a brass shank rotted. As a result of not sending in a report to my insurance company promptly, my claim was denied and attempts to reach them to remind them to send the report to USAS was futile as nobody returned my calls or e-mail. As their visit was strictly to assess the problem and notify my insurance company so the claim could be finalized, I was very disappointed that they never sent a report nor responded to my calls and e- mail to get them to do so.

GREAT! First off, let me say that nothing makes me more anxious than toilet plumbing problems when I am expecting company, as I am over the holidays. So I am psychologically very dependent on having the services of a good plumber available. I chose Wm. Henderson based on their excellent reviews on Angie's List, and am very glad I did. The business seems to be very professionally run. The first appointment was easily made and the office called to let me know when the technician (Steve K.) was on his way. On entering my home, Steve put paper "booties" over his shoes, a considerate touch. He diagnosed the issues with two toilets of mine, one over 60 years old. He provided options for dealing with these issues, along with cost estimates for each option. He needed to return the next day with the replacement materials for the old toilet (but he had done a temporary fix before leaving the first day). The second appt. went smoothly and the toilet is functioning as it should. Steve answered all my questions thoughtfully and professionally. I feel that I can rely on his expertise and advice.

Henderson Plumbing submitted an estimate. I did not choose them. I went with a plumber I had used many times before.

It worked great. The guys that came were very professional. They had to go back and get the new faucet that I needed, but that was ok. The end result was perfect, and I feel like the charges matched the services. I've used them for all of my plumbing needs, and now I'm about to call them about my toilet.

Technician wore booties to avoid tracking mud and wet leaves into the house (?much appreciated!). He explained the pricing and services up front. The process only took a few minutes, but he successfully unclogged the disposal. He arrived within the 4-hour service window and was extremely pleasant and professional. We paid by credit card, which was quick and easy. We're very pleased with the results and the service, and will certainly call upon Wm. Henderson for our future plumbing, heating and cooling needs. He quoted me $7200 I believe. He was very professional. His responsiveness to come to the house showed that he was just a very professional acting person.
