We had Jeff perform the installation. He once again did a great job. The office was excellent in responding to our inquiries regarding the job. Great product, great service.

Initially asked Henderson to quote because we decided we wanted Carrier furnaces and A/C, so contacted 2 contractors certified by Carrier with good review on this site. Pricing was similar between the 2. Ended up going with Henderson because they were very familiar with our type of house (many contractors just don't have much experience with older homes). He had a lot to say about the thermostats, and talked us out of the most expensive one because of the kind of house that we have. I forget the details (it was almost a year ago) but we had several back and forths with him to select the furnace / thermostat configuration. Not all furnaces work with all thermostats, apparently, and there's some quirk in the programming of the most expensive one that causes problems in these big old houses. In addition, they really went the extra mile to make sure we got all the rebates we were eligible for - the A/C units had to be installed by a certain date and they made sure to meet the deadline. They came when they said, removed all the old units and installed the new ones in a timely and professional manner. We have not had a single problem with anything since the installation, and our utility bills are significantly lower. The new units are quieter, the thermostats maintain temperature much better than the old ones. I wanted to wait until we'd had both summer and winter to write my review so I could be sure the heat worked as well as the AC, but of course I've forgotten a lot about the details. So far, not one single problem with anything. Highly recommend.

It lasted me a year and then had a major backup a year later. Roots still got into the pipes and they told me it only happens one in a million times and they had to replace the Y in the piping. He charged me another $4,000 to replace that. He ripped up the street a second time and gave me a 10 year guarantee. It backed up on me again after fixing it again twelve months and flooded my entire basement. Now he won't get on the phone and talk to me and sent me a bill three times and told me if I don't pay it then it will effect my credit. He told me to deal with the township and won't even get on the phone with me. He took my money and ran. He's trying to tell me to find another company to do the work instead of backing up his work with the guarantee that he gave me. I have been in contact with Haverford Township since I had this sewage back-up in my basement. The township ran a video camera through the interior of the main sewer line and found no obstructions or tree roots.I have a written report from the township that the township sewer line has no obstructions or tree roots that would have caused the sewage back-up in my basement.

At this point, it has been 2 weeks since I've heard from Henderson plumbing after sending over a request for information regarding the $300 invoice being received and having had communicated back and forth with someone in the office multiple times prior to my questioning the validity of the invoice. This is more frustrating because this money has been withheld from a deposit that was described to me as refundable. -1/8 - Friday -Called Henderson Plumbing and asked them to come to my house due to water coming into the basement. They told me the service call would cost $59 just for the technician to make a house call. -Plumber came out timely and I described the issue and told him what I assessed (based on the location of all pipes in my house, where the water service comes into my house, the visual bubbling of water from my basement floor/foundation, and the amount of water coming in). He agreed and then shut the water off at the street. -Plumber provided me the estimate and described the service. The price was more than I expected ($5,500) but due to the issue at hand and the need to have the work done immediately, I signed the estimate and provided a deposit of $500 which I was told is refundable. The plumber, after going to his truck and getting on the phone, told me they could do the job on the following Monday. -After signing and providing the deposit, the plumber then capped my service line from the inside and provided me the washer hose and instruction on how to feed my house from my neighbors house. -Following his departure, I returned phone calls to other plumbers that I had placed throughout the day. After describing the matter on the phone to one company (with 95% information I had obtained from my own observation), they said they could do the job the next day for a price that was significantly less than Henderson. I decided to go with this company based on the incredible difference in price. -I then got in touch with Henderson plumbing and let them know I was going with someone else. After the initial inquiry about why I decided to go with another company, Henderson then provided me a cheaper option to do the job. The initial estimate was based on them doing most work unseen versus using an excavator and digging a trench. Unfortunately, this option was not provided to me upon the initial visit. f it was, I more than likely would have gone with them and not bothered with call other plumbers back but it didn't rub me the right way that only the one option as provided, the option that was nearly double the other option. 1/14-1/18 -I received a check for $200 from Henderson stating "refund". 1/26 -I contacted Henderson and asked for a detailed breakout of the $300 charge. Henderson got back to me within an hour with an invoice that stated the following, "Turned off water at curb capped off meter because valves passed left customer with patch hose to feed water from neighbors house TOTAL ON WORK COMPLETED $ 300.00 collected $ 500.00 return $ 200.00 from deposit on work" -I replied that day essentially stating all of the activity that occurred, what services performed, and then asking for clarity on what specifically was driving the $300 invoice as the activities listed did not make sense in comparison to the cost. 2/9 -Sent an email to follow-up regarding my email 2 weeks ago. Still waiting on a reply There are certain aspects of this process I have left out to summarize this as much as possible. Although they are somewhat telling in regards to tone of phone call after cancelling the service to be performed, items mentioned on the phone leading to current happenings, etc., I think at this point can be left out based on the above chronology and the thought that Henderson will ultimate make this situation right.

Steve was excellent. He showed up on time, answered all of my questions, and completed the work in a timely manner. However, I was disappointed with the cost and will be looking for a better quote for the remaining work from a different provider. It would be nice if they provided a more detailed quote to help better explain the cost of their services.

Frantic is probably the best description for a failed gas furnace 2 days before a blizzard with temperatures in the 20s. Within 1/2 hour of calling Henderson, Ed came out to look at the old furnace and gave a quote on a replacement. Ed discussed three options and explained the pros and cons of each. The quote was very fair compared to other estimates and Ed said the unit could be installed the next day. Indoor temperature had dropped to 58 degrees the first day and down to 45 degrees the day the new furnace was installed. The lads arrived on time, were courteous and professional and got right to work. They had the new unit running in eight hours. They were patient when it seemed to me that there wasn't much heat and explained that with the house so cold it would take some time for the unit and the return air to bring temperatures up. They were right. After about an hour, we could feel the difference and by the next day the house was back to a comfortable 70 degrees. When the installers arrived, they offered space heaters to help keep us warm during the installation, but we already had our own, so we didn't need those. It was a nice touch, though. Obviously William Henderson has experience with furnace failures in the winter and knew how to help. This is the second time I've used the company; the first was for a plumbing job. I've been very happy with their pricing, quality, and service.

We have an 80+ year old house, and so we occasionally have 80 year old house plumbing problems. The most recent - the cold water pipe to the 1st floor shower is the original piping, and it has a ton of build up inside of it which has dramatically lessened cold water flow - thus making showers a bit of a lobster boil. The ideal approach is clearly replace the pipe, but that involves knocking down some wall and it is only a guest bathroom and we're not ready to remodel it. So what to do? Well Stephen and my wife came up with a creative solution - put a valve on our hot water heater that allows us to control the temperature of the water coming out of the heater. Guest wants to take a shower, adjust the valve so the water coming from the heater is 100 - 102 degrees, guest runs only the hot water on the shower (plenty of pressure there), takes shower, and when the shower is over just readjust the valve back to the normal hot water temperature. Cost was 25% of replacing the pipe outright, takes a total of 3 minutes to do, and everyone is happy. I mention this, because it demonstrates what I have liked about Henderson's every time we have used them: 1) Strive to do no harm (very easy with an old house to have a small simple plumbing repair become something much bigger - enjoyed watching the lack of a modern washer [probably would have cost $1 if made today] for a faucet in a former old house turn into a repair that cost $14K to have a working bathroom [that plumber - not Henderson - did nothing wrong, just the issues of dealing with an old house) 2) Be creative - is there another solution that will get the desired end result more easily? 3) Give advice on how to prevent or mitigate against a problem that required their services so we won't need them again or as soon - all advice given by Henderson plumbers to date has been immensely helpful and worked in relation to slow drains, clogged laundry room sinks, etc. So to sum it up, we have been very satisfied with Henderson Plumbing and will continue to use them. Their staff are polite, professional, and know their stuff.

We use these guys for plumbing, heating and AC work and have been constantly pleased with the service. The prices are reasonable (not always the absolute lowest) but the service and flexibility makes them our go to guys.

I was able to get an appointment within a convenient amount of time. The plumber was punctual and professional. He was able to easily clear the clogged sink drain and showed me how I could do it myself in the future. He reached under my "broken" garbage disposal and pressed a re-set button on the bottom of the device (under the sink) and the garbage disposal was again functional. I had no idea about the re-set button...He showed it to me for future use. My kitchen faucet is from Moen and was actually installed with a piece missing. He was not able to fix that without a Moen part, but he carefully explained that I could look up Moen on line and search for my faucet type (there was no box, paperwork or number on the actual faucet for me to identify it to Moen) in order to request a part. He explained that Moen guarantees it's products for life and that they would be willing to send a part. After a look at the Moen website and a quick call to them (they had me e-mail them a picture of my fixture), I was able to find out the parts needed and Moen agreed to send them on to me. The plumber gave me an idea how to try to install the part myself and said to give it a shot and, if I had no luck, to call him back. Then for the water heater. ..The water heater clearly needed replacement as it had been barely functional for over a year (I needed to press the re-set button on the heater overtime it emptied) and was 15 years old. We decided upon a 50 gallon tank which was what was already there. The company only uses Bradford White water heaters and he reviewed the price with me prior to install. He called someone from the company and had a new water heater delivered to install within about 25 minutes. He did not talk to me about the new sizes of the water heaters- they are more insulated now (due to new energy efficiency laws) until the installation was complete. The new water heater was installed quickly and correctly. After it was installed, he brought me down to show me that the new water heater was wider and that it may, now, be more difficult to access my furnace (all in a closet area in the basement) as a result. So everything went very well. My only 2 criticisms would be that I would have liked to have had a say in the water heater size prior to installation rather than after. It is likely that I would have just gone ahead with it anyway, I just would have liked to have been consulted. The other thing is that, as most of the larger companies are doing now, he sold me a 1 year maintenance plan for the heater and, apparently, buying the one year plan actually helps to save on the water heater cost now. I did not quite get that when looking at the figures, but I just went ahead and bought the plan anyway as I had already researched prices of water heaters and their installation (retail) and this cost (even with the plan) was in the general ballpark of what friends and the internet had implied. I know the companies market their plans to make extra income and to keep the customer with them and I understand this. What I liked was that the plumber was friendly, professional, knowledgable and willing to show me a few things that I could do on my own. Also, there was no fuss or stress about getting the water heater in the house- he managed all of that quickly and efficiently.

Thought we would have to buy a new faucet, but Jeff said that it was a Delta faucet and it simply needed a Delta repair kit which he had in the truck. As he did the repair, he explained everything he was doing and why the faucet leaked. He was amazing & incredibly thorough. He cleaned up everything and tested the repair kit in every way you could & it worked perfectly. Jeff was outstanding! He could have told us that we needed to buy a new sink fixture, but was honest enough to evaluate that it only needed the repair kit because the gaskets and O-rings were worn out. I was incredibly impressed with his work style, how he explained each step he was doing, and was one of the nicest plumbers I have ever met! Next, he went to the bathroom sink and saw that the "pop-up" doesn't move up or down. Again, he explained everything he was doing in detail. Apparently the drain needed to be cleaned out of debris, but also, the original installer did not connect the "pop-up" correctly. In a matter of minutes, he had the drain fixed with fast water outflow and a pop-up that opened & closed perfectly. Again, we were so impressed by his knowledge and his explanation of each step he was doing. He cleaned up afterwards, wore "booties" the entire time he was in our house, and was very nice about everything. How cool is it to find such an outstanding plumber??? Great service! Called them Tuesday night before Thanksgiving and they were out to give an estimate Wednesday morning. Given the situation they rearranged their schedule and took care of us the same day. Final price came in right at the quote even though the job took much longer than anticipated. Very happy with the results and timing, will definitely use these guys again.

Tim arrived to the house on time. He was polite and got right to work. He was able to remove the hose and made recommendations for how to avoid this issue in the future. He also showed me where the shutoff valves were located in the basement and made some recommendations for enhancements in the future. Best home improvement expense to date.

They were really very professional. It was kind of dissatisfied with their work. They left packaging from the hot water heater down there. They didn’t even bring a bucket. They used the top of my wrapping paper box. They took that and used it. It’s now filthy and dirty, I can’t use it anymore. Before that, it was great. This last time, it was very unusual and I wasn’t very happy and very pleased. I don’t know if they are just getting too big and everybody uses them because they are so well rated but it was very unusual and I was not really happy with the cleanup and or the whole thing. The price was outrageous. They did kind of work with us but it wasn’t enough. We were in a bad spot and we need to kind of deal with it. They left trash down there. They responded quickly to the call. So I think that was great that they were able to come out quickly and get the parts quickly, that was fabulous. They were very punctual on showing up on the scheduled time. They were pleasant and polite but they left trash. They were really courteous but they didn’t take the stuff. I think it may have just been a fluke for them or just the guys that worked in here. They were different guys that come in the past.

He said the burners and "chocks" (could not read his writing) operated normally, heat exchanger was rusty but no cracks or holes found. system over 25 yrs old and should be replaced. He also suggested the chimney lliner be replaced. He gave a quote to seal return grill and cap bypass in-supply, what we had called him out to do, and clean furnace. All he needed to do was check furnace, look for cracks, and determine if it was running normally. His recommendation and documentation of a new furnace and chimney liner caused us a lot of trouble and a lot of extra money with the buyers who already new the system was old. He did nothing, did not even view the inside of the chimny. He charged too much for what he did, and caused us to spend $500 on a new liner, that the buyers are not even using since they put in a new furnace anyway. It was Friday afternoon and he just wanted to go home. He was arrogant and not nice. It was a very unpleasant experience.

Everything went well. They were on time, very friendly and professional and completed the job within a few hours. I would highly recommend them.

Very pleased with Tim's work! He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain to me a lot of interesting details in regard to my current plumbing. I love my new faucets! I would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone!

I thought the price was a little high.

The technician was very knowledgeable about what he was doing and did a quick and satisfactory job. He did ask me if I wanted an estimate of how much it would cost to repair, I said no at the time. Right now I can't remember why I gave him my email address but I did. I (my wife) later decided to call and request an estimate. I called the company (610-544-7999) and left a message to give us an estimate for the cost of the repair. never heard from them again. The technician was good at what he was doing. He arrived on time. But they never called back to say "we can't do the job" or "it will cost ?" The cost was high I guess "465.00". ( to me that is high) I would give them a D for overall job.

I will definitely use again. I called him because I heard drops down the drain. He took everything apart and found it. He then put it back together and corrected my sink. He did all that stuff that I didn't ask him to do, but he did it. I had to pay for it ut it wasn't that much. It was that attention to detail and his craftmanship and that interest in his profession. I would definitely recommend him and use him again. He came out last year.

I emailed William via Angie's list. Response time was great!!! William courteously responded quickly and informed me that the receptionist would contact me on Monday do scheduling. Lauren called as expected on Monday and a technician came out that day. Tim the plumber was knowledgeable and fixed the problem. He answered all of my questions regarding the plumbing issue. The price was a little higher than expected but... I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for. I will definitely recommend this company to others.

Everything was done promptly and professionally. We needed an adjustment the next day and they came back immediately. I highly recommend them.Their price is somewhat higher than other companies, but they were worth the price in terms of reliability and knowing that the job would be done right. We have used Wm Henderson plumbing in the past and had an excellent experience with them at that time also.

Another plumber came and told me the pump needs to be replaced. Jeff came later and did an awesome job in searching for clues as to why the pump wasn't working and he fixed it. He saved me hundreds of dollars! Jeff was very thorough in his work and patiently explained to me what he was doing. This is the second time that they provided service to me and I will continue to use them.
