Description of Work: Central Air Unit not working. From the initial call thru end of services performed an excellent experience! These folks are awesome! No a/c in this 90 degree summer is no good but I called them, they answered and scheduled me for the same day! The highly professional, cordial tech was "Ray". Ray is "DA MAN"! He called before arriving, took the time to explain to me all the issues, how to resolve and cost to resolve. It's an older unit but has always worked well with little maintenance. Ray replaced the condenser motor fan, capacitor and chemical cleaned the condenser coils. Tested the amount of coolant and also the temperatures inside ductwork/blower. The woman at the office who answered the phone and set the appointment was very professional and courteous.

Description of Work: We had three separate visits. The first was due to the AC not working. He came out the day I called. It was determined the unit needed refrigerant, 6 lbs, I think ($267). Returned a week later to clean the coil and do a leak search ($225). He found that the A-coil was leaking in several places. Needed to order part. Came back three weeks later & replaced A-coil and a belt. ($1500). Final cost is not yet determined. They are trying to get Carrier to give warranty coverage. Coverage expired ONE month before problem arose. Naturally. I appreciate that they're at least trying to get it covered for me.

Description of Work: I have been using this company for 15 years. They are always prompt, courteous, through and leave area cleaner than it was. This time they came to see why my furnace was not blowing hot air. The service man told me that I needed several parts plus the main board. He never mentioned buying a new furnace to me. But since mine was 18 years old, I decided not to invest money into it. I asked him to get me a price on a new one and I would do my research too. He got back the next day with five options and no pressure. I know I made the best choice in quality, price and service by going with this company.

Description of Work: Called when our furnace did not come on in the am. A very helpful service person came within a couple of hours. We had never used this provider before and found a recommendation on this list. By the time he arrived the heat had started again. We asked him to do a thorough inspection of the furnace and he did so, cleaning and inspecting and answering all our questions. He was very professional and helpful. We signed up for two annual inspections of our heating and air-conditioning...and his visit counted as 1/2 of that -the furnace inspection. ($158. a year) The next day, the furnace did not come on in the am. We called again and another very helpful service person came promptly. Because the system was not working when he arrived, he was able to determine that the furnace controller was the problem. We agreed to replace the part. (($230) He found one and went to purchase it. We were not charged at all for the service call. We paid for the new part only. He installed it and made sure our furnace was in good operating order before he left. We were very satisfied with the personnel and the service.

 + -1 moreWhen first contacted we had a nice discussion reqarding the installation and cost. This was followed up by a short visit to confirm that the unit under discussion was correct for my home. The installer arrived promptly and was pleasant to deal with. My old humidifer was removed and the new unit was installed requiring new piping and water valve. The operation of the unit was explained in detail. The old unit was taken away and the area was left clean. Nice job. I would definately use this firm again.

 + -1 moreExcellent service and knowledge of the product. They did a few extras (insulated a duct in the garage and added an air return) for the same price as others with the same exact product. I am convinced the companies get together and make sure their prices are the same because they came in almost identical. They came back in the spring to do my A/C set up and the systemis better than I ever expected - I save $50 / month on the heating bill with the highest end system from Carrier. The company was excellent to work with - could not say anything better about them - on time, cleaned up, knowlegable, and professional - one of the best companies I have worked with to date.

 + -1 moreEverything ran very smoothly from start to finish. Randy Mitchell was prompt for our pre-scheduled appointment for an estimate. Before entering the house he put covers over his shoes, then proceeded to review our situation. Throughout the entire process he was very cordial, yet business-like. He said he would call us with his estimate after running it through his computer. Then he would follow it up with a written estimate mailed to us. Within a couple hours he called, gave us his estimate (which was very similar to the others we had received), then mailed us a very clearly detailed, neatly typed estimate which we received the next day. On April 8, 2009, we scheduled the installation date for April 28, 2009. At that time he suggested a different approach regarding the flue liner and offered to deduct $150 from the original estimate if we decided to accept this method. We agreed. The afternoon of April 27, 2009, Mike from the company called to confirm the date and time; and the next day Randy arrived with Gregg and Dan at the exact time he said they would. After getting the men started, he left them to finish the job. Again, they covered their feet anytime they had to come to the main part of the house. They worked all day, very quietly and as neatly as possible for such a job. Gregg stayed until 6:00 p.m., and explained the various features of the new system. Within a few days we received a printed paid receipt, again detailing everything that was done, including a manufacturer's rebate and the $150 credit, along with corresponding documentation. This entire job was completed swiftly, neatly, and painlessly--to us! We are very pleased with the equipment, the installation process, and the company. We will definitely call them again; we have already decided to have them take care of our yearly maintenance.

The service person Thomas was very personable explained what needed done and made corrections. Even took time after completing the maintenance to program what he termed as our "rather complex" thermostat for us and show us how to make changes in the future. We were very pleased with the service.
Description of Work: Performed routine maintenance which included cleaning the trap, changing the filter and checking the heat exchanger and taking readings. Also fixed split low voltage wiring for the humidifier and changed a panel.
