He fixed an outdoor light over a door, and they rehung an outdoor light sensor. They were helpful, thorough, and knowledgeable. I really appreciated the work, they did it in a timely way to make sure that we had plenty of time to do everything I needed done.

the provider was knowledgable, helpful, and responsive. I would use him again. He looked after each of my requests and took care if them promptly, having the necessary items available on his truck. I definitely would use him again.

They were not able to get as much work done as I had hoped. He did work the entire time. The guy did a nice job and he was very professional. He cleaned up after himself and the outlets work well. It took about 40 minutes per outlet. He was pleasant to work with.

Everything was done inside the 2 hour timeframe and works fine.

John arrived on time. He was very efficient and did a lot of things in the two hours we had prepaid for. He warned us that installing the transformer may require paying for extra time, and we agreed to pay extra, but at the end he did it within the two hours and did not charge us extra. He was very good. He was on time, professional and his price was reasonable. In fact you had posted the Big Deal for him and the Big Deal shouldn't have been posted, so he couldn't honor the Big Deal price, but he gave me a discount on the price that he charged for the work he did.

I bought two hours of electrical work but because two men came I got 1 hour (this was explained during the time I was scheduling the service). When I explained what I needed done and how many outlets needed to be changed (14 or 15) I was told that they would not be able to do them all in that 1 hour time frame and the cost for all additional hours would be $179.00. I established up front I would not pay for additional time and I would direct the electricians to the outlets I absolutely wanted changed. I was also told that even though I had been told previously by another electrician that my house was grounded, if it wasn't they would have to reinstall 2 prong outlets. The electricians showed up 15 minutes early, which was okay because we were up. When we explained we wanted certain outlets replaced with 20 amp 3 prong we were immediately told that it couldn't be done if the breaker wasn't wired for it. My husband suggested the main electrician look first before stating something couldn't be done. The breaker was wired high enough that it was not a problem. Then I was told that yes the house was grounded but the ground wire was short and had to be extended. The team broke up, one upstairs and one downstairs. The upstairs electrician did not appear to be as skilled and may have been a trainee (or so it seemed). He was only able to complete 4 outlets versus the downstairs electrician who completed 6, and still took time to go upstairs and check on the other one. Because I was adamant that only 1 hour would be used, I cleaned up the mess that was made. I was really disappointed because I felt that two electricians should have been able to change all the outlets within 1 hour. My husband and I had removed all the outlet plates to help expedite the changes and explained we would put them all back. Basically I could have just called Gillece and payed $99.00 dollars, the normal price for 10 outlets. I will need to do this anyway to have the remaining outlets changed as it will still be $79.00 cheaper then this company.

IT WENT VERY WELL, SHOWED UP EXACTLY WHEN I EXPECTED AND WORKED HARD.

We could not be more pleased with Nicholas Electric's work on the exterior front porch of our home. We were concerned that adding a new line to the porch ceiling would require damaging the original beadboard or interiror ceiling, but they were able to run the line without any issues. Moreover, they installed both pendant lights and added a dimmer switch. The result is flawless. Thanks again for a job well done.

Jim showed up as promised about 9:00 on the appointed day. He quickly installed the fixtures, bagged the old fixtures for me in construction grade plastic for disposal, collected the prorated amount owed after the Angie's list coupon time was expended, cleaned up his mess and left. Pleasant experience for all.

Service person called ahead and arrived right on time. He was very courteous and professional. He determined that the hall light fixture was bad, and installed a new one which I had previously purchased. When he found that there was no electrical box, he was able to build one and charged me just a few dollars for it. He spent the rest of the time trying to determine why the lights and garage door opener in the garage trip the fuse and shut off. He took the box apart and checked for faulty wiring, and checked the wires which lead to a little shed in the backyard. He spent about an hour trying to trip the fuse, but as luck would have it, it stayed on the whole time so he couldn't really diagnose it. But he spent a lot of time explaining things to me, and made some helpful suggestions as to look for when it happens again. He seemed genuinely concerned that he couldn't fix the problem, but I felt he gave it the best try anybody could have. He also checked an outlet that I had been having trouble with, and determined that it was okay. I would definitely use this business again.

I bought a $99 Big Deal for two hours of electrical service. From the initial contact to completion of work I was treated with courtesy and in a professional manner. I even had to call and reschedule the time due to a conflict I had and was told it was not a problem. During my initial conversation with John , we discussed what we needed done. He suggested that I buy the fixture I wanted and he spent time discussing my needs and gave me recommendations on what would work best and give me the best value. He did not rush me when I asked questions. He was very helpful. Jim arrived on time, went right to work and after installing the outdoor notion sensor lights , high up on my garage, in the rain, he solved a couple small problems I had with a badly installed outlet in the kitchen and a light fixture in the basement that only turned on by tightening the bulb. The best I hoped for was just a new porcelain with a chain so I would not have to climb up to tighten the bulb each time. This was over my laundry area and it was dark without the light. Jim took the time and ran a wire that connected to the main switch and no more climbing and twisting a hot bulb off anymore! My experience with Nicholas Electric was first rate. I would definitely call them in the future.

I called him on Friday and he was able to get out to my home by Monday. He did an excellent job and overall was a great experience. He was very neat and a pleasant person to work with on this project.

John responded promptly to my phone message on a Wednesday, and, receiving an estimate for the work I needed performed, I set up an appointment for the following Friday. On Friday, two electricians, one of whom was the owner, also named John, showed up promptly at the appointed time and, following a discussion of what needed to be done, replaced a defunct light over the kitchen sink with one that we had purchased, repaired two light switches in the kitchen and one in a bedroom, and replaced two out-of-code porcelain fixtures with two fixtures that we had also previously purchased. The two men worked with skill, enthusiasm, and alacrity and were courteous and cheerful throughout. Having had recent difficulty in securing the services of an electrician, I was extremely pleased to deal with electricians of such exemplary professionalism. Since on the basis of my thoroughly positive experience I have already made tentative arrangements to have Nicholas Electric perform some additional electrical work in the near future, I need hardly add--though I will, and happily--that I recommend Nicholas Electric without hesitation or reservation. Point of information--Since, as one would expect, Nicholas Electric charges by the hour, I purchased in advance several possible replacement fixtures for the kitchen and the bedroom closets, calculating, as turned out to be the case, that amongst those I had purchased would be some that would meet the electricians' requirements so that no time would be wasted hastening to a hardware store while the workmen waited. The surplus fixtures were returned for refunds, completing an altogether successful experience.

Very courteous and professional service. They were at my home 90 minutes after my original (and only) phone call. In 50 minutes Jim was gone and the lights were working. Very satisfied with Nicholas Electric.

Called to arrange a service date for the following Monday. He called at 1 pm and said if i was available they could come by by 2 pm and to the job today. Took them up on it and they were there waiting when i got home. Very polite, fast and friendly. Very satisfied with them. Will be calling them again for an estimate on some future jobs and I have already given their name to two more people.

I had called about 3 weeks before the service date to discuss on the phone; as this was not a major job, we decided to forgo a visit for an estimate and would handle those details when the crew arrived. I was told it would be about 3 weeks, and it was. They called before when they left their shop and arrived when they estimated. James and his partner (sincere apologies, forgot to write to him, forgot to write down name) assessed what needed to be done and got to work. James also assessed some other things that I am potentially looking to have done in the future. the outdoor outlet had been invaded by a colony of ants, so that was cleaned out and replaced (no one had seen that before!). They were efficient and finished in just about the amount of time that we had speculated when I originally called. The guys cleaned up what little mess there was. I gave a 'NA' for price, because I honestly don't have much of an idea what going rates are now. I will say that this is the second time that I have used Nicholas Electric, the last time about 3 years ago for a lot more major electrical work (new breaker box, rewiring, multiple fixtures to hang, new outlets); at that time I got multiple estimates and theirs was within a couple of hundred dollars of everyone else. Went with Nicholas because I just got the best vibe from them on their visit and that turned out to be true, which is why I did not get other bids this time around. I will definitely use this company again and would have no problems recommending them to others.

We were in dire need of an experienced qualified electrician so I decided to try Angies List to locate electricians in our area. I had contacted a few but Nicholas Electric responded right away. John was very professional and, understanding our time constraint, came immediately to see the job and give us an estimate. He fit us into his schedule with the promise to be finished in 2 weeks. True to his word and the efforts of Steve and his crew (working in the attic during the hottest week of the year) the job was completed and our tenants were able to move in on time. We were kept informed of any issues and care was taken to keep the damage to a minimum and cleaned at the end of each day. Any questions or concerns were addressed immediately and resolved. We are very pleased with the quality and professionalism and would highly recommend Nicholas Electric. Will definitely be using them again.

Called them Wed, needed service pretty soon, as the one outlet ran the swimming pool John said he'd come Thursday between 10-11, and would call first. He called Thursday at 9:30, said he would be there at 10:30. Sure enough he was there right at 10:30. Replace the GFI outlets with no problem, sealed the boxes , and was off. What else can you ask for? Called when he said, came when he said, did the job fine. I assume the price was fair, I don't call electricians often, but I will use them again in the future.

They answered right away and would have come right away. I was able to fix the issue by myself so I did not have them come out. They impressed me and I plan on using them in the future for multiple projects.

He was very patient and personable during this problem. Materials and skills were first rate.

John Nicholas showed up on time. Immediately he started the work. He knew what he was doing. He found the problem right away and fix it in the first 30 minutes he was there.
