Description of Work: John Bird is the nicest person and very skilled at what he does. I live in a very old house and had a tricky issue with basement lights. He determined what the problem was and fixed the problem. I had him come back to install a decorative light in a powder room and it turned out great. At the same time he found an issue with my electrical panel that he pointed out to me, and gave me options to fix. I will use them again and again.

Description of Work: They updated the electrical junctions with the new AlumniConn connectors, which were required by the insurer of our buildings. They let me know when they could not make it. (One day had a snowstorm, and one guy had a funeral to go to.) They answered my questions, and the place was left in the same shape before they came in.

Description of Work: The power company had broken a meter on a rental property we owned and turned the power off, causing our tenant to have to move out until it was fixed. The electrician from Nicholas was able to coordinate everyone and got the power turned back on. The best part is we had called another electrician who told us we had to rewire the both units of the house to get the power on and wanted $3,200. Nicholas looked at the situation and did what needed to be done to have safe service and was much more reasonable. We do have a couple of other electrical projects we would like done and they are who we will be calling.
