Very well, Ryan and his crew came out and did everything we discussed. The job was initially delayed by a few days, but that was due to weather which is beyond their control. Overall, it was a very well done job. Price may be a bit higher than the competition, but he is punctual, communicates well and gets the job done right the first time. Something I can't say for all of the other companies I got quotes from.

The results were very good, and property looked great afterwards, just in time for Labor Day guests. Their prices are higher than normal (I think), but they don't use immigrant labor, so it's worth the extra cost to me.

After reading a few reviews stating this company came out to bid the job, never to be heard from again, I unfortunatley took a chance to call them out. The rep came out on a Saturday morning, spent 15 minutes with me pointing out the work I needed done. This was the last time I heard from him. Never received a bid or a return call. Waste of time.

Great. Called, got an appointment quickly. Appointment was early like 7am. Came on time. Helped us work out how to start our sprinkler system (did not have to do this); walked around the garden and discussed what needed to be done. Sent email quote within a week. Then got an appointment. Brought a group of 3 other men - a bit late due to traffic. They did the work in one day. Ryan himself came and worked alongside his men all day. Checked that I was satisfied with the work.

Ryan Donnelly responded promptly, did the work in the time he committed, and for the agreed price. There was a very strong rain storm the day after the mulch was put down, and it washed away. He came back out and re-spread new mulch (I had to pay for mulch and labor, but that is fair, and he came straight away). Two of the shrubs are dying, but that is my fault for not watering them during these very dry conditions! He even put down several additional plants for free, trimmed up some of the trees, and cleaned out part of my gutters! I am really happy with team members' professionalism as well. I will use R & J for some additional work.

Since he did a good job we continued using him. He mows our lawn once a week and he put in a flowerbed for me. His employees are really great and really friendly. He is really helpful and has quick followup. They are also timely and punctual.

Ryan and his crew showed up exactly when they said they would (unusual for a contractor). They worked in a professional manner and did not stop until the walkway was finished. Ryan and his crew did a marvelous job and I have nothing but good things to say about the entire experience. I have many other projects needed around my house and I will give R and J much more work - they show up when scheduled, do the work needed and are not too pricey. Highly recommended.

Very responsive to emails and phonecalls from start to finish. Quote was exactly what is actually cost and $1000 cheaper than other quotes. Yard looks great.

Called and scheduled a time for an estimate. Received a call back promptly and scheduled the estimate a few days later. We walked through what we wanted done and were told we would receive an estimate in a few days. Never received anything, guess they didn't need our business.

Was very pleased with the work performed. Would definitely use them again.

yan and his team did a great job redesigning my backyard last fall after our pool was completed. Ryan really stepped up and took care of everything we needed to get done. He was a pleasure to work with and was very responsive. The overall results look great and we are very pleased with the way this job turned out.

No show No call for appointment made to give an estimate.

Called Ryan based on other reviews. He came on a Sunday morning and we did a walk-around and agreed on a price. There was no contract and no specific date for him to return with his crew. He said he would come in the next 2 weeks when he could. It did not give me a lot of confidence that he would return. However, he did return in the second week. I needed much underbrush and many "volunteers" cleared out around the edges of my property and on the hill at the front of my house, to the side of my house, and on the hill continuing behind my house part of the way into the back yard. They worked all day, bundled everything up, dragged it down to the street and made two trips to the dumping area to dispose of it all. They did an excellent job and only one plant that I had wanted to keep was taken in error. I hope to get on their list for regular cutting and perhaps to provide some raised beds for some backyard gardening.

Ryan is very professional, friendly, and he takes care of his customers. He listens closely to what you say. He made good suggestions since I really didn't know exactly what I was looking for, except I showed him a picture in a catalogue and he was able to make the raised beds just like the photos. I am extremely happy with the job.

Ryan was quick to respond to our email. He came out quickly and provided an estimate promptly. He was in the higher range of estimates, but we went with him as he had no hidden costs and preferred his vision of what we were asking for. His crew worked throughout the day, cleaned up after the job, and left us with a yard that was greater than our expectations. We would certainly recommend them to others, in fact, we have hired him to do our spring lawn care maintenance.

Ryan is very responsive. I contacted R&J Landscaping from this site and had a response same day. Ryan accommodated my schedule when scheduling the estimate. We walked around the property and discussed everything we needed done. Came home yesterday and everything looked great. They did an excellent job and everything we discussed during the estimate was done. I will use R&J Landscaping for future yard work and landscaping needs without hesitation.

They were quick and provided good estimates. We emailed them on Saturday and had people out on Monday giving us estimates. And we will most likely use them.

Our home inspector felt we might need some regrading around the house to prevent moisture in the basement. I called Ryan and he responded right away and agreed to inspect the property for free. He came out on a very cold day and walked the property giving advice along the way. In the end he confirmed what my husband thought which was the property was already graded well but could use some minor management where the mulch was built up. Since that was work I was willing to do and he agreed it was easy enough to be done by homeowner, we didn't use his services. He was very honest and gave a few other tips on how to manage the property so I was very impressed and appreciative. I would call him again for services needed down the road.

It went well. They showed up on time, did the job as requested, and cleaned up after they finished.

The owner responded to my request for an estimate very quickly and he seemed to know what was needed to install fencing so we went with this company. The tree service was done quickly but the fencing took longer than we expected. We requested two gates and we noticed that one of the two was the wrong size after it was put up so the correct gate had to be ordered. We think the fencing took much longer to complete than it should have even though our neighbor had this company install fencing at the same time. After the fencing was finally finished, they started on the landscaping and that ended up being done poorly. We would not use this company again.

They were initially very responsive, calling in the evening to schedule an appointment in two days (also in the evening). However, when I called to reschedule due to a work commitment, I didn't hear back from them. I ended up calling someone more local.

We have used R&J Landscaping in the past and been very happy with the results. This spring we had a list of projects we wanted to finish so that we could finally enjoy our home 2 years after moving in. We talked to Ryan and decided to do this in stages as the summer went on. We started with grading and cleaning our back yard. There was so much refuse and junk in the back that we needed it taken away. Ryan and his guys came in and did the job. The tore down an old metal shed and completely cleaned out the back yard. The next project was Topsoil for planting beds, as well as mulch and stone for around our vegetable garden. When we called Ryan he had our delivery in place within 36 to 48 hours depending on the request. The next phase was to have a pad poured for the delivery of our spa. Again they prepared the site and had the pad ready well in advance of the spa's delivery date. When they did the pad for the spa they built out a new stone base for a shed we were in the process of purchasing. The next job was new vinyl fencing around the perimeter of the back yard which went up in 2 days. The last phase was sod and a new stone patio. These were also done in about 2 days from start to finish. During this last phase I had a problem with my lawnmower and I asked Ryan if he could tell me where I might get my lawnmower repaired. Rather than tell me where to take the mower, he took the mower and repaired it for me. It has been my experience with Ryan that this is how he operates. He's always willing to go the extra mile and take care of his customers. I have nothing but the highest praise for the professionalism and attention to detail that he brings to all the work he has done for me. Lastly, on Saturday, 8/27/11 as we were preparing for the arrival of Irene we found a problem with the fence. I left a message on Ryan's service asking him to come out on Monday to take a look at the fence. Instead he showed up at noon on Saturday when he should have been getting his own home prepared for the hurricane. He was able to fix the problem immediately and was pleasant as always. I can't recommend this company highly enough. You won't go wrong with R&J.

Also, I need some trimming done. I understand that it is a big job but he was going to send me an estimate on Monday or Tuesday and I still haven’t received an estimate and no telephone call back. I am losing time on this and need someone to do the job.

Overall, they are pretty good. They are very reliable, and their mowing is good too. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.

He told me he would call back the first time that I talked to him and I had to call back 3 days later in order to get any kind of service. They finally came out and suggested that they would try to lift this 20 ton tree over my house. They quoted $10,000.00 but never sent the estimate or emailed back.
