Never showed up for initial consult.

Nothing happened as he never responded after the initial visit. Not professional or polite.

After missing the first appointment, Ryan finally came out on another day to look at my yard for the estimate. Most of time he spent telling me how sorry he felt for the crew whose services I was terminating, and claimed that removing ivy from a flower bed was impossible. I had to counter his claim by mentioning I had just had all the ivy removed from my front yard so I knew that not to be true. Then he promised to send me a quote. I never heard from him again.

My yard can be some what swampy if we have had substantial rain, so Ryan held off until it dried before coming in with a skid loader on tracks which he used to remove the bushes and roots. His men then dug out any remaining roots and leveled out the areas. They took down 3 tree limbs, one small mulberry tree and even cut up & removed a large branch which was in the creek and collecting debris. They put down top soil & grass seed. They dug out a 4 X 20 foot bed around 4 azaleas and put down mulch. When they finished they cleaned up any and all debris. Would definitely use again.

Contacted R&J via e-mail thru Angie's List to set up an appointment for an estimate so I could have some yard work done and a tree planted in my yard. Spoke to Ryan several days later, explained to him what I was looking to do and set up an appointment for Thursday April 23rd between 6:30-7p. Thursday the 23rd comes around and I get a phone call around 6p from Ryan telling me that he is not going to be able to make the appointment because he is still at a job site and would like to reschedule. That was fine, so we rescheduled for Saturday April 25th between 10-10:15a for him to come out. Saturday the 25th comes and so does 10a, 10:30a and then finally at 10:45a I get a call from Ryan telling me that my house is not in his service area and he is not coming out to give me an estimate. If I look at the service area for this company, Delaware County is listed, that's where my location is and he never once mentioned earlier when I gave him all the information that I was not in his service area. I basically wasted a Saturday morning for nothing. I would warn people to look at other landscaping companies before making a decision. I will not recommend this company to anyone.

The lawn had silted up along one side of my house, so I needed the grading improved. Ryan was professional and easy to talk to during the estimate, and I was pleased when he suggested laying stone alongside the foundation. I wasn't sure it would fall within my budget, so he kindly worked up a "with" and "without" estimate for me. I went with "with" and am very pleased with the result. Ryan and his team worked quickly and efficiently, and even cut back a tree overhanging the driveway that I hadn't been able to reach. I'm satisfied with their work and would definitely consider them for future landscaping jobs.

I emailed Ryan in the morning just to see if he could fit us in sometime soon. At 1:30 his team showed up and got the job done never expected it to happen today but we really appreciate it. Ryan did some landscaping for us a few months ago, including a new walkway and repaving our driveway. He's responsive, reliable and hard-working. We will continue to work with him in the future.

Been with them for 5 months now and they do a great job for a great price. Glad to have them!

After wanting to get this done for years, it was the easiest process ever. Ryan responded right away when we first contacted him (found him through Angie's list), and set up a time to come and see what we wanted and give us an estimate. He offered ideas for our yard - it was great to have fresh eyes - the yard looks much cleaner now. The work was scheduled, he said it would take two days - Ryan and his crew showed up on time, worked like crazy for two days, and got everything done. They were professional, hard-working, did exactly what we agreed on, finished on time. We're going to use Ryan again for repaving our driveway - and probably other work once we learn what else he does! I would definitely recommend him. He is honest, courteous, hard-working (I know I said that already but it's true) - and was a pleasure to work with. We are definitely glad we found him.

R&J Landscaping fixed my challenging grading and drainage issues. Ryan provided solutions that made sense and really pulled everything together to get the job done in 2.5 days. Ryan had excellent communication during all phases of the project. Ryan was on site every day so I knew nothing would get lost in communication. He also did a good job coordinating with an HVAC company to raise up my air conditioning units. He installed a 25ft drain to catch water coming from the neighboring properties and feed it away from the house. He also did an excellent job creating a more defined swale around the house to divert water away from the house. Thank you for a job well done.

Ryan was able to work us into his schedule in a timely manner. Showed up when.he said he would. Ryan and crew were very flexible as the project was changed and enlarged. He and crew stayed late to finish. His price might have deserved an 'A' but I do I my own landscaping and have limited experience with contractors.

Ryan and his team showed up exactly when they said they would - on both days. They worked very hard and efficiently and left my property on both occasions much, much, much better than when they arrived. He was easy to deal with, very pleasant and professional. We felt we were treated very fairly by someone who knows what they are doing and who strives to please his customers. This was only the second time we we tried to use a landscaping service as we are particular and prefer to do things ourselves. We can't praise Ryan and his team enough. We will definately use him again!

They were on time got everything done quickly.

I contacted Ryan for the removal of two tree stumps. I also included some other work. He came out quickly but no estimate was given. When I finally reached him by phone, his price was too high. I approved only the stump removal. I heard nothing from him again. He phoned me suddenly one day and said he was coming to do the grinding, He did perform work. I asked for an estimate for more work. Again, no estimate. We finished the work ourselves.

They were very good. They were excellent. They were punctual, and I think they did a good job.

This is the second year I have used R & J to do my Spring clean up. Again they did an outstanding job. Their price is a little higher than other landscapers, but they work quickly and leave my property looking pristine. Their business appears to be very weather related so I recommend scheduling maintenance early to get the schedule you want. Ryan is very dependable; when he says he will be there, he is there. See you in 2015.

Ryan explained clearly what would be covered in his work. The price was reasonable, the work was completed on schedule, and he did a good job. I would deffinately use him again for landscaping.

Called R and J for a quote. The guy showed up and seemed eager to start. He stated to me that he would have a quote in a week. A week passed and nothing heard. I called 3 times (twice leaving messages and once speaking to a receptionist) and still no response. Glad I did not use him since he lack of communication is a problem for him.

He was really nice, but he would not come. I am very sorry that he decided not to come, because I really liked him.

Ryan returned my call within hours of my initial call for an estimate . He arrived the following day to review work to be done. He understood the need to rake the rear yard in order to clean up the prickly monkey balls dropped from a large gum tree in the yard. He explained what he would do and didn't try to sell me service I didn't need. His proposal arrived via e-mail two days later. I selected Ryan for his honesty and knowledge over two other proposals. After calling him to give him the job, I had to follow up with a call to ask when the work would be done. Due to the heavy rain we had received, he was behind schedule. When he arrived with his men, work started promptly, raking, blowers and cleaning the flower beds of last years mulch. Debris was loaded in the work trailer. Natural mulch was placed in the beds, taking care not to disrupt plants. The rear yard was aggressively raked to remove the partially embedded monkey balls followed by the use of blowers. The debris was put in my compost pile. Ryan and his men were friendly and polite. I was very pleased with the work done. I will surely use R&J Landscape, LLC in the future.

Did a terrific job!!! Came and gave an estimate as scheduled. Showed up for work as agreed and worked alone at a good pace. Completed my large project in 1 1/2 days. I am planning to hire them again this year and look forward to getting their help .

100% satisfied. We are putting our house on the market and so needed things done ASAP. Ryan came out as soon as the weather cooperated and got to work. This was a huge job. The first day he and his team cleaned up gumballs and yard waste pile and trimmed back trees. He then had to wait until torrential downpours stopped and weather got above freezing to finish the job. As soon as the weather cooperated, he was back - raked up MORE gumballs, did the concrete walk (excellent job), and trimmed bushes and mulched around bushes. Our yard looks great and house is ready for market. He was easily available via cell/text and was prompt getting back to me. great with communication. We will definitely call R&J Landscaping again and recommend him highly. Dependable, good price, and honest.

It was a good experience. I chose them because they were highly rated on Angie's List. They did a good job and they were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves but they did not do the followup afterwards. I called them but they did not call back. I called them to have them do something else but they never called me back to follow up to find out what I was going to be requesting from them. I would use them again in the future if I have to.

The work performed was outstanding. Ryan and his crew arrived when they said they would arrive and completed the work in less time than originally estimated. The yard, garden, and street, which had a large amount of leaves, was cleaned perfectly. Leaves were even cleaned from under the table on our deck. Excellent attention to detail!

Initially they weren't prepared for the extensive nature of the job. They had to go back to the office for a chain saw, but once that was done they did a nice job of trimming our lengthy privet hedge, weeding, edging, & mulching. The crew was professional & very hard working. The job was completed on time (3 days).
