It took several attempts to book the visit. When we eventually managed it the vendor determined my requirements were outside the scope of the offer.

He sealed the window and made some roofing recommendations.

Nothing unusual. Ivan Gomez contacted me, we scheduled the inspection, he showed up right on time, did the inspection, reattached a loose shingle and gave me recommendations on what I should do. Nice man. Nice job.

He went on the main roof and caulked some. I'm not sure if he did any other maintenance even though the package deal listed a lot of things he would do. He came back down and said the flat roof was in bad shape and needed to be replaced. He gave an estimate for the job. It took about 15 minutes and he left. I thought he would do some maintenance work on all the roofs, including my patio roof. I wanted to ask if he could remove the patches of moss on the roof, and to re-nail the upper gutter back in because the long nails were out and the gutter is not flush with the house. I had hoped he would do some work that I cannot do in maintaining the roof. Instead it seems like I paid $99.00 for an estimate. On the estimate sheet were some jobs which I thought were included in the package that I bought and that he would perform, but it seems like I would have to pay for the roofing job to have those things done. I am going to ask for another roofer's opinion and estimate. I may be wrong, but I felt like I was ripped off of my money and I will not buy any more packages from Angie's List.

The guy came and looked at our gutter and said that our roof was rotting and that it was going to cost $1,200 to fix it. So we got nothing done and it was a waste of $99. I was disappointed so far. My husband thought it was a bate and switch.

His team was like a machine- came in and tore off the old roof and replaced all the plywood. Had new shingles on and the roof complete by mid-afternoon. he came when he said he would and did the work according to specs. Would definitely use him again.

He called before he was scheduled to come for the estimate. The estimate seemed reasonable to what we had researched. Explained everything that was to be done and the reason. Job performed in estimated timeframe. Very professional. No problems with roof since. It has been a little over a month.

Big Deal provider came out to inspect my issue and cannot fix the problem with the big deal voucher. they were very thorough and kind despite the fact that the big deal didnt cover my service needs

The Service Provider went to the wrong house, without confirming with us about where he was to come and meet us, and then called and said there is nothing wrong with the roof. Yes there was nothing wrong, because that is a brand new roof, just put last year. The roof we wanted him to inspect was on our other house, 15 minutes from the first one. We got no service, but contractor got the money, our roof is still not inspected.

Nothing, came out took a look and never heard back from them.

The company came and did an estimate. They could not complete the work as described in the deal. The estimate would have been significantly higher.

Mr. Gomez advised that the wood rot would be best handled by enclosing the area affected. One of his crew performed the work while I was at work and left the area spotless.

Upon inspection of roof by contractor, it was determined that a complete new roof was required. I wasn't surprised because the homes in our development have been having roofs replaced pretty regularly. Ivan Gomez, the owner of the company, worked with us to determine what things would be done. He gave us a fair price for the work, which was extensive because of the size and shape of our house. Because of the unpredictability of the weather they required three days to complete our work. Ivan was on site for each of the three days to oversee the work. He also came out after the work was completed for a final inspection and to take care of the warranty information. Gomez contracting has state of the art equipment and the crew are friendly and efficient. If you need a new roof or any of the other home repairs they offer I recommend them highly and without reservation.

Overall, the work quality was excellent. The initial appointment was to evaluate the project, Ivan came out to look it over.. That went fine. The initial lookover of the work determined that the Big Deal I got from Angie's list was going to cover most of the labor and old wood haul-away, but evaluated it was $125 more to complete what was needed. The next appointment I called to schedule after I had the wood delivered on my own (I did that independently with a separate lumber yard locally), and it took a week to get the schedule set due to weather. The person (Jose, I think) came as arranged early on a Saturday morning, and was done before lunchtime. As I said the work was excellent, and the cleanup was done, no problem. I spoke to Ivan again at the conclusion of the project and he told me it was more than originally thought. $175 for the work and cleanup above and beyond the Big Deal from Angie;s list. I never like getting a revised estimate after the work is done, but I was OK with it because the work was done well(exactly what I was looking to get done). I would most likely call them again based on the work quality but would get the estimate firm in writing next time.

I must have misunderstood the deal. The man came out and was very polite but it was outside his expertise so he suggested I apply for a refund.

It was fine. I didn’t expect the extreme extras. It went on fine and I have no complaints. I didn’t dislike anything and that’s probably a good thing. The work is fine. It seems not to be leaking and that’s a good thing. They checked the schedule, they came back and it was done. It was nothing outstanding and it was nothing disappointing either. It was a big deal purchase. I didn’t know that I needed extra work done because I had a prior inspection. I knew I needed extra work and they did that work too. I called to schedule. Their responsiveness was fine.

There was a crew that came to my home. I am contacting them again to re do the roof for me. He was courteous, professional, and reasonable.

"Mr Gomez scheduled us for a period 3 weeks from the day I purchased the coupon. I sent him a picture of the rot we were hoping to have repaired. When he came out to visit the property and perform the repair, he determined that it was more extensive than the coupon could cover. We did not want to proceed with him as we were really only budgeted for the amount of the coupon." *** Follow Up 5-9-2014*** After posting the three sentences above, which I did not think were unfair, I got a follow up message from Mr. Gomez that was extremely unprofessional and rude. He complained that he drove over an hour with 3 employes to do this job, that I had sent him a picture of, and then threatened to sue me. So here is a more detailed review than one I originally posted. When Mr. Gomez got to my property he called me and told me the damage was too extensive to perform the service for the price I had paid. I asked him for an estimate to do the complete job, and he mumbled and gargled about what a big job it would be, and then he proceeded to identify other issues with my home that he thought needed to be addressed. He was difficult to understand on the telephone but he seemed to be telling me that there as a "Hole in my roof". I do not know what he was referencing, and he was unable to articulate it to me. I told him I would call him after I had a chance to see the "hole in the roof" that he was speaking of. We then had three days of heavy rain. I could not identify any hole in the roof. We have no roof leaks. So I made the decision to not proceed with Gomez contracting as I did not have a good feeling about them, and his lack of confidence in how to do the original repair I was hoping to have done, made me feel I should get a second opinion. I am glad I did not proceed with the job as they have now made it abundantly clear that they are offering these deals with no intention of ever doing the work. They use fear mongering tactics to try scam customers, and up sell them on additional services and work. And to wrap it up, he wants to "sue me" for the three sentence review I left above. The coupon I purchased was for $149 4 hours of work. Mr. Gomez is complaining that three employees drove over an hour to do this job. So three employees drove over an hour to a 4 hour job for $149?!?!?!? Clearly they only came with the intention of up-selling me on additional work. How on earth could sending 3 employees over an hour do $149 worth of work make sense? Gomez contract is either really dumb, or out they are out to scam their customers. Either way I strongly recommend avoiding them based on my experience.

Mr. Gomez was fast and efficient. His associate thoroughlyinspected the roof; which is 13 years old and was able to give it a clean bill of health and assured me that there were no deficiencies noted, other than what I stated above. I would haveno hesitancy in recommending Gomez to my friends and neighbors.

My overall experience was very satisfactory. Mr. Gomez was prompt and explained in detail what needed to be done. He was very polite and helpful. After some discussion with my son, I decided to go another route. I sent an email to Mr. Gomez and explained my decision. He immediately responded via email how to go about requesting a refund and since I was out, I missed his phone call which went to voice mail. He was very pleasant and said there was no problem in refunding my money. Also, to please keep him mind for future work. I certainly will keep Mr. Gomez in mind. It was a pleasure dealing with this vendor.

I just give the contractor a try, to teach where a bigger piece of business. And we did not have to give it at that time. He looked at the stuff, went on the roof, palette some nails, came back down and try to sell me a roof. I think we can afford it. For the service they provided would be zero. They really did nothing. They have an excellent price and would consider him in a future.

The job went beautifully and the men were impressive as they worked as an experienced team to finish the job in one day. I was totally impressed and took pictures of the work throughout the day.

arrived on time. repaired the roof and siding. had a hard time understanding the team leader, as he spoke little English. other than that we are happy
