The Service was great. Gomez and his crew are very professional and cheap!! They came on time and preformed the services quickly and carefully. The entire house now looks great due to their work. I would definitely recommend Gomez General Contracting to anyone in the area.

We noticed a small leak in our roof and decided to call a roofer to come check it out.....I had a bunch never return my call and the others that did never followed up or showed up. I found Gomez through Angie's list and thought I would give them a try. I called and told the receptionist what was going on with my roof. She took my information and said one of the guys would call me back....within an hour Tom called me back and made an appointment to come ck out my roof. They showed up on time.....went on my roof and took pictures for me of where the water could be entering. Tom gave me a few options and since it was a small section of the roof I decided to replace the entire section. We agreed on a price and they scheduled a day. 2 days before they were scheduled to come out Tom gave me a call and said because of the extreme cold forecast they would prefer to come the following week, but would call me when they had a better idea on the forecast. Tom called me on Monday and asked if Thursday morning would be OK.....which it was......and they showed up right on time. They took care to cover the are where the material would land......got right to work installing the new roof.....and cleaned up when they were done. I can't recommend Gomez Custom Builders enough. There are lots of contractors out there, but very few have the courtesy to communicate with you and respect your time. They did great work and took great care to make sure everything was cleaned up. I have already referred them out to neighbors and will continue to use them going forward when we replace the rest of our roof and upgrade to insulated siding.

An area of skylight roofing needed re-flashing and caulking. Mr Gomez personally reviewed the project, provided a bid, and returned to do the work exactly as he estimated, with a notable degree of neatness and courtesy! We were extremely pleased with his quality and professionalism. It was a small job that nevertheless needed attention. An outstanding service provider!

***I've decided to refrain from using names out of respect*** I called to get an estimate for a roof repair for some recent leaks. The customer service rep was very helpful and took my information. She told me that one of their contractors would return my call to set-up an appointment for an estimate. I received the call a few hours later from the contractor and he told me he would be out for the estimate the following day (7/23/15). I took off from work for the appointment. The contractor never showed up and never called. On Friday (7/24/15), as my wife was leaving for work, she saw the contractor sitting in the Gomez Contracting truck in front of our driveway. She expressed our frustration to him about the "no-call-no-show" the day before, but still asked him to check the roof since he was there now. The contractor called me later that evening (7/24/15) and left a voicemail on my work phone with an estimate for minor repairs (replacing collars and some shingle replacements) at a cost of $375. On Monday (7/27/15), I called the contractor and left a voicemail asking for a written quotation via e-mail. I never received an e-mail. On Friday (7/31/15) around 10:45 AM, I received a call at work from the contractor saying that his worker was in the area to perform the repairs. I told him I was not home and exploring more options, that I did NOT authorize any work at this time. I said that I would call him on Monday (8/3/15) if we were going to proceed with his services. My wife then sent me a text message around 11:15 AM saying she heard some banging noises on our building (we live in a townhome so she assumed our neighbor was having work done). But when she walked outside 10 minutes later to leave for work, she saw a Gomez Roofing sign on our lawn. When I returned home from work that day (around 8 PM), I called the contractor to ask if he had somebody on my roof without my authorization. He admitted that his guy was on my roof that morning and said he only found out about it an hour earlier. He said all the repairs were already done. He said he wouldn't charge me and apologized, but said at least I received free work. I told him I would issue a formal complaint, as someone was trespassing on my property and I don't trust the way he does business. I have no reason to trust the quality of the work, that any work was actually done, or that there was no damage done to my house to ensure future business. Maybe if he had called me to let me know what happened before I discovered it myself, or if he had called me about missing the estimate, I would not have written this complaint or submitted to the BBB. *** UPDATE: Mr. Gomez reached out to me personally and admitted the mistake and issued a written apology. I consider the matter closed. Gomez contracting gets good reviews and maybe this incident is out of the norm. Mr. Gomez has been very professional about the matter and seems to be working to avoid an issue in the future.

Ivan replaced the Pipe Collars around all 5 roof vents (we identified which one was leaking but I had him repalce all of them, if 1 failed another was sure to fail). They came out while I was at work, he took pictures to show me the results. It has been about a month since he replaced all the collars, we have had major storms during that time and I have not had any leaks. Overall Ivan was a little slow in responding but they did good work. I am very happy with the results and would recommend.

We were extremely happy with the service and the end product. I had spoken to a few other contractors about the jobs and there were a number of different challenges. I was looking for a maroon/reddish capping to keep the look of the house and I was also looking for the roof lines to remain unchanged around the house and on the front porch. Some of the vendors proposed doing the work in the standard fashion, having the soffit installed parallel to the ground vs. at the angle of the current roof overhang. One of the contractors said it would be impossible to match the soffit and the capping colors, another very quickly came in and gave me a very low-ball price. Ivan, the owner, came out personally to assess the house, look at what had to be done and was very professional. What was also very nice was how knowledgeable and thorough he was. He immediately saw some challenges with the install, but more importantly identified solutions that wouldn't cost extra money. He noticed, for example, that what I wanted would interfere with my windows unless it was done in a certain way. None of the other contractors noticed that. Seems small, but this was just one example of suggestions that he made that resulted in the job coming out better than I expected. I have received numerous compliments from neighbors on how nice a job they did. There was a sense of pride in the work that I have not encountered with other contractors that I have used in the past or that came out to look at the job. Ivan also made me feel very comfortable about the work that was going to be done. When they did come to do the work, they were in and out, cleaned up everything and you would have never known they were there. Afterwards Ivan stopped by to check in and see how the work was done. He offered up some other observations and was very patient with me asking all sorts of questions (which started when he first came to look at the house). I am looking to have them come do some additional work on the house. It was nice to have such a positive experience, to have a contractor look back and really appreciate the craftsmanship of the work he and his team did. I would highly recommend Ivan to others and he was competitively priced in regards to the other 4 or 5 estimates that I received. Very happy with the outcome!

Ivan exceeded my expectations at every level. I invited three highly rated contractors from Angies List to bid this job. Two of the three were at $5000. Ivan, the owner, came out and bid the job. His price was $3800! He let me know how much extra for replacing plywood sheathing if necessary (it wasn't) and for installing additional roof vents ($45 per vent). When I told the other contractors they were out bid, only then did they begin lower their price. Ivan started with a great price. Each contractor specified what was included in the bid and in my opinion, each were provided the exact same service. The other unique feature that I liked about Ivan is that he was willing to take full payment upon completion of the job while others wanted upfront money. ll. Ivan and his crew showed up on time. He crew were hardworking and attentive to detail. THey were very sytematic and kept the property clean. The clean up, which is equally as important was done with a high level of detail as well. I am 100% satisfied and trust this roof will be here for an additional 50 years.

The work was done without complication. The GGC quote for the vinyl siding was actually less than the allowance (before deductible) from my homeowners insurance. The GGC quote was consistent, point by point, with the description of work from the homeowners insurance claims adjuster. I recommend Gomez General Contractors (GGC) for others needing similar work.

Ivan Gomez came out to our home to review the project in late March, 2015. He went over all the project details, pointed out potential problems, provided samples of the materials to be used, how the job would proceed, provided detailed itemized list of the project items and a price. After comparing to several other estimates I awarded the project to Gomez GC based on price, quality of the materials and completeness of their quote. The job was scheduled for the following week. Ivan and his team of four came to our home around 8 AM. They first draped the house in tarps to protect the surrounding shrubbery and to minimize debris in the beds. They proceeded to remove the old roof, old attic fans, vent collars, etc. The upper level rear section of the roof needed extensive decking replacement, which they replaced as needed. This was not totally unexpected. They proceeded to install ice dam barrier, tar paper and new high density GAF architectural shingles. They added new vent collars, new flashing around the chimney and where the lower level roof meets the upper bi-level. New drip edges and ridge vents were also installed. Ivan kept us in loop as the job progressed. Pointing at issues as they arose and the timing. The Gomez crew worked nearly continuously to complete the job by 7 PM. They were very courteous and respected our home; the materials trucks and trash dumpsters left no marks on our new asphalt driveway.The clean up was very thorough; I did not find any nails from the old roof. A very professional, well done job.

As always, we searched for a provider on Angie's List--they never let us down. A foot of snow on a flat roof had caused water to seep behind the wall of an outside room. Less than half an hour after I called Mr. Gomez's company, he returned the call and promised to come in an hour or so. He arrived promptly with two additional men, removed the snow from the roof, and made interim repairs. If we decide to have him replace the roof, today's payment will be applied to the cost. He patiently answered our questions and explained everything, and was pleasant and professional. He even took off his shoes upon entering the house!

All went very well. Very nice and responsive and professional. Very hard to match the shingles on the front side of house and they show the patch. Not as noticable now that they have weathered. The important thing is no more leaks.

When discussing the appointment with Mr. Gomez, I stated that I had a satellite dish on my roof that I also wanted him to remove when he came to do the maintenance and we agreed on a rate for that removal. When his team arrived, they went to the roof, quickly took some pictures and handled minor maintenance items, such as some popped nails. I felt like the $99 deal was really for a review of the roof and not to fully handle maintenance items, so I was very disappointed. The team did not remove the dish and said they would need to return another day to handle the removal and to do some of the other maintenance items that they identified, for an additional $250. I was not happy that the deal seemed to be a bit of a "Bait and Switch" situation, and that the team came to the house quickly and were on their way very quickly after identifying the add-ons. It felt as if they wanted to move on from the Deal and to just get you to have them return for additional services that were "outside" of the deal. Everyone was very courteous but the work and the situation left me feeling unsatisfied and annoyed that I wasted my money.

It was fine. I was happy with the information he provided. He answered all my questions and it was very positive. There was no additional fees.

It was good. They inspected my roof and did some minor repairs, at about $200, which I asked him to do. He replaced some shingles and installed a guard.

They were good. The price was reasonable.

He showed up on time. He inspected my roof, and hammered in & sealed some loose nails. When he was done, he showed me some photos from his phone that he had taken while up on my roof, of some items that would need future attention. He did not pressure me to buy anything additional, and told me my roof had about another 1-2 years .... which is what I expected based on it's age. Overall great experience. I didn't feel pressured to buy any additional services, but would definitely call them when I'm ready to start pricing a new roof.

I contacted 5 providers. Gomez General Contracting was the only one able to send someone the same day I called. Their technician, Stu, arrived exactly when he said he would (within 80 min of calling me!). He assessed the gutters, explained to me her recommended fix, and completed the task very efficiently. He even cleaned up my failed attempt to do the job myself. Would definitely use them for this as well as their other services.

Gomez General Contracting did a superb job and gave me a good price, compared to several competitors' bids. this turned out to be much more than just a roofing job, so the final cost was significantly higher then the original roof quote, but the increase was discussed in advance and 100% justified. Knowing how much work was involved, I was surprised that they finished the job as quickly as they did. They did enough work to restore the garage to safety and Ivan, the owner, advised me on how to proceed to restore the space to a usable condition, but respected my budget concerns by not pushing to do more. Ivan was prompt, professional, courteous, and very well spoken. He clearly knows the construction business inside and out. I feel confident that Gomez was the right contractor choice for me; another contractor may have advised me to simply demolish the garage, but working with Ivan made it possible to save the structure and ensure that no more damage will be done. I won't hesitate to call Gomez General Contracting for additional work on my property in the future. in the meantime, my roof looks fantastic!

He patched two nail holes in the roof. Gave me a quote on a new roof even though he claimed the pitch on the roof was too steep when he first arrived.

I am very pleased with the results of the project. The house is ready for winter. Ivan Gomez was responsible for the project. He identified problems, proposed solutions, and completed the project promptly. He did what he said he would do. Communications, actions, and follow-up were excellent. I will use Gomez General Contracting again. I recommend this vendor to other Angie's List members.

Chimney repairs 4 years ago by another door to door repairman were faulty. Two workers from Gomez General Contracting spent over 5 hours repairing and sealing the chimney. All external flashing was removed as well as the old stucco. All cracks were sealed, new wire around chimney was installed, and two layers of new matching stucco was applied. Old stucco and debris were cleaned up from the yard and removed. Before and after photos were shown.

Both doors required tweaking after initial installation. Tiles had to be replaced after accidental breakage. However, follow-up was thorough and complete and final job was great. Both owner and installer were easy to work with and we look forward to having several additional projects with Gomez contracting including garden window and sun-room renovation.

Showed me issues with the roof. Scheduled to return to fix assorted items. Contractor was ver knowledgeable.

Contractor is very good. Easy to schedule appointment; rescheduling due to weather went well too. He arrived promptly as scheduled, inspected the roof, and did some minor repairs of shingles and flashing. He explained that generally the roof is in good condition but there areas where problems could develop.
