They came promptly and analyzed the problem, ordered the part and came out promptly to install it. They made sure the system worked before leaving, and left a contact number in case there were any immediate problems. We would definitely use them again.

They were good, responsive and did what they were supposed to do. I will use them again in the future.

An appointment was made on Monday (September 19, 2011) and scheduled for Wednesday (September 21, 2011) between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. Customer service called at 12:00 noon and asked if the appointment could be pushed to 1:30 p.m. I agreed. Technician (Chris) was on time. He asked if I had any problems with A/C. I told him that I had unit serviced with another company in May 2011 (coolant added and condensate line blown out. I mentioned that unit had started to leak water again. He replied I most likely have a leak in A/C unit, but I just wanted heater to be checked; hopefully it will last throughout winter). Chris started tune up, but then unit would not fire. He had to run diagnostics and it was found the pressure switch wires were disconnected. I was watching at the time; so they were disconnected before his visit! After he reconnected switches, he finished cleaning, inspecting, testing, etc. He was knowledgable and knew what he was doing. He was straightforward, when I asked questions about heater as it is going on 19 years old. He explained the type of heater I have and recommended a couple of replacement brands. After he left, I called customer service to verify why a diagnostic charge was necessary. I was informed that if the heater is not working when the technician turns the thermostadt on; then diagnostics must be run and it has to be added to the invoice. I was comfortable with the answer provided by customer service; they were very polite. I will definitely use them again in the future! I also appreciate how quickly they responded to my request to come out; since I was off on that day as well. I did not have to play phone tag with them!

During the last heat wave, my A/C was not holding at 74 degrees, was up to 83. I have an old unit, so wasn't sure if it was the unit malfunctioning or just the excessive heat. Office staff was very knowledgeable, scheduled a prompt appt, had the tech call on the way there as agreed. Chris came out and checked the entire system, educated me, found A/C to be functioning properly given the extreme heat. Two days later, heat wave over, I came home from work and smelled a burning rubber smell and the A/C was completely out. Called again, was scheduled for the next morning. Chris came out again, they had researched the age of my unit to better inform me of my options. Turned out to be the blower fan, which I elected to replace. Chris made the repair in about an hour. Since then, my old unit has been working like a champ! Knock wood! This company has been so easy to work with- everyone is prompt, knowledgeable, customer service oriented. I will definately use them again for A/C and Heating.

Blue Bell was very prompt in coming to visit our home and providing a quote. The price was significantly lower than a competitor with comparable specs and equipment. The install was scheduled about 3 or 4 weeks after we decided to go with them (it was late May and this seemed reasonable if not ideal). The installation took about 5 hours. This was a retrofit in an old house and tight quarters but given less than perfect conditions they were pretty clean and neat with their work. For example the condenser went into an awkward corner over uneven pavement- I was concerned about getting the unit leveled out nicely and making sure drainage was good, and they were accommodating and made sure I was satisfied. The crew was very nice and helpful answering questions and addressing minor concerns and took a lot care in their work. Installation went smoothly and so far everything has been functioning well.

I called after hours (8am on a saturday morning). Within two hours, the technician was on site fixing the unit. He was professional, quick and timely. I would definitely hire them again!

Called to set up an appointment to come out and give me an estimate. They wanted to charge just to come tell me what they would charge to do the work!

SOOOO A/C went during the Philly heatwave of June 2011, called Horizon, God help us but idiots that we are, we had used them when a/c went last summer (for the first breakdown in 12 yrs), they were the only ones who would come asap and I bought a contract because without it their 10 min repair would have been 285 $$$, sooo called them for this breakdown they came out, said they fixed it, it lasts 24 hrs, said never again, contract or not and called a neighbors repairman, he came out, that repair lasted 12 hrs, he came back, didnt know what was wrong, called someone else, they said Horizon mis wired it and blew the compressor, 2-3000 repair, started getting estimates for a new system (our old a/c used the old freon, even though it was top of the line we decided to replace), then realized we really needed to replace furnace too to get the best out of the newer a/c style, we have a very old house and everyone said even though the 95% efficient furnaces were the way to go, they couldnt do it in our house because of our below grade basement. IN comes Blue Bell, found them here on Angies, called them in the morning Joe came at noon, estimate was good (not the lowest but very fair and they were going to use American Standard equipment, which gets better ratings than the other estimates), Enter Tal, the owner who came back to confirm a few things and realized we could absolutely DO a 95% efficient system by doing a "think outside the box" install. We gave them the go-ahead on a Friday, they showed up as scheduled on Monday (everyone else said "maybe next week"), the guys OMG I forget their names, were wonderful!!! they did a great job, didnt leave so much as a speck of dust and I was up and running by 6pm. Oh they also give you a great warranty, and the girl who runs the office was great and they were very good about e mailing with the details, proposal etc

They were very unprofessional. They were the lowest bid we had, but they had to come out twice to give us an estimate. It appeared that they did not know how to measure what size of boiler we needed for the house. The first estimator had to come back and that made us very nervous, and as we got other estimates we realized that there was a lot that they didn’t know. They were the cheapest but we thought they were pretty unprofessional, though they were prompt and courteous and all that. We would not use them in the future.

We were delighted with them. We started talking to them in June and they did the work in July. They didn't have the lowest estimate but the person that came out took a lot of trouble to educate me about how things worked and what they needed to do in order to access certain areas and what they would do cosmetically. I understood how the equipment worked and I understood about the different levels of the air conditioning power. I got to make choices on what kind of equipment we would have. He spent a lot of time making sure that I understood what was going to happen. His price was not that much out of line. This company respected me and educated me unlike some other companies so I wanted to spend my money with them. They did remarkably good. This company cleaned my house better than I would. They had to make holes in the ceiling and there is not one ceiling that I had to repaint after they were done. They were not any debris underneath the opening. They had to take the unit out of the wall and in doing so they revealed a problem with insulation in the wall that they pointed out to me. We agreed on how to leave the wall so an insulation person would be able to see the same stuff. They were thoughtful of my ancient cat. It was a really good job. They had told me it would take 3 days and they were essentially done in 2 days. We were satisfied with the scheduling and it was during their busy season. It was very hot in the attic and they saw that I was a heart patient and that it was important for me to be cool. The quality was first rate. We would absolutely use them in the future and wouldn?t even get other estimate. Their price was higher but they were worth the extra money. I would rate them A+.

They were completely professional and just nice people. I found them through the list and they gave me the best price I could find. They provided me with a lot of good information.

The experience went very well. I appreciated their responsiveness. My heater died during a big snowstorm so I left their office a message to see if somebody could come to the house the next day to fix the heater. They called me first thing in the morning and were able to come over pretty quickly. They diagnosed the issue in the morning and then came back with replacement parts to fix the heater that afternoon. I had my heat back by dinner time which was great. There was an extra part that was not in stock on the first day and they came back to install and do a tune up the following day.

Everyone was very customer service friendly from Tina in the office, Fred who came out to do the estimate and Joe and Al who did the install. The price was very reasonable, the proposal was received via email the same day and all of my questions were answered. The work was completed today and I couldn't be happier.

The owner, Tal, came to our house in mid-July to review the job in order to build a proposal/estimate. He spent about 30-45min reviewing the house layout, current equipment/ducts, and asking questions. Tal may not be as polished as the sales guys from other HVAC companies but he knows his stuff and is an honest guy. It was nice only having one visit to build our proposal whereas other companies needed second visits b/c the sales guy needed to bring out a foreman/worker to spec out our job since it wasn't a simple job. After receiving the proposal, I emailed Tal the questions I had (eg, specifics about the equipment, whether boxing in the duct was included, etc). He always got back to me the same day. After comparing multiple companies/proposal, we selected Blue Bell both b/c of the price as well as the confidence I had with Tal. This was a 5-day job and we had it scheduled for mid August. Working with Tina in the Blue Bell office was great. She was always confirming appts and made sure things were running smoothly. I was able to relay any questions I had to her and she always talked to Tal and got back to me promptly. Finally our start day came. Overall the installation went smoothly. There were a couple of minor discrepancies but they were all resolved within a day and to our liking. The three guys who worked on our job were very professional. At the end of each day the main guy would review what was completed with us, and tell us what to expect the next day. Tal stopped by one day and would check in nightly via email. I expressed a couple of concerns to him via email and they were fixed the very next day. He was very responsive. There were a couple of minor things that kept me from putting an "A" for quality. - Two of the main duct trunk lines were extended further than they needed to be. After mentioning them to Tal they were fixed prior to completion of the job. It would have been nice had the attention to detail been there from the start. - Clean-up was very good, but not perfect. There were some sheet metal screws and small pieces of sheet metal left in the driveway and the basement. My car actually ended up getting a flat tire. Don't know for sure if the screw came from the driveway or from the road and it was a coincidence. - Cigarette butts were left in the driveway. It's now 3mo later and everything works perfectly. We couldn't be happier with our new HVAC system. Will definitely be using Blue Bell for future maintenance/issues.

I picked these guys because of their high recommendations on Angie's List, and was very glad I did. Their quality, professionalism, price, and responsiveness was far better than any other HVAC contractor I've ever had work on my house. Our 20 year old air conditioning system died over the winter. After a long cool spring, we got hit with really hot weather, and no A/C. These guys put in a great system, that week. Their work was solid and professional, from start to finish. In my experience, it is rare to find contractors that get it right the first time, quickly, and at a reasonable price. These guys are that rare find.

Tal and his guys were great, from the estimate to the install. He was very knowledgeable on the equipment, very competitive with his install price, and his installation crew was punctual, polite, and very professional. All in all, the system was installed in a day (including moving the compressor to the other side of the house) and was up and running with no issues. I will certainly go back to them for annual service and other services in the future. I would highly recommend getting a quote from Blue Bell if you are in the market for a new central A/C system.

The overall work performed was great, some minor things that they could have done, such as taping off air leaks from the unit and sweeping up inside and cleaning up small trash left in the driveway. One of the installers was very helpful and explained the work being done, the other was a little antsy towards 5oclock, but the other guy told him to calm down and get the work done right and he understood and apologized for trying to rush. I would highly recommend Blue Bell and will use them in the future.

Central air conditioner compressor had stopped coming on overnight, and another HOT summer day was arriving. Called for service in the morning and they had someone at my house by afternoon. The tech identified the problem (bad capacitor) and fixed it immediately. The fellow was very courteous and professional.

Overall it went very smoothly and we appreciate the service. We had to wait 4 days (over the weekend) but thankfully the second air conditioner for downstairs was still working so it was bearable.

Great!! This company is great from Tina in scheduling to the service guys which did the work. They showed up right on time and Tina confirmed the appointment the day before. The guys did great work, answered all my questions, and educated me on my system along the way. They were honest and detailed focused. They did not damage any walls or ducts with the sweeping. They also gave me a ball park estimate on remaining lifespan of my unit as well as a rough idea of how much to safe for a new system. I would use them again without a question.

I called Blue Bell Heating and A/C and they sent someone out the same day. The technician quickly assessed the problem and told me what it was and how much it would cost to fix it. He had the part on hand and installed it. He told me that I needed to change my air filter. He made sure the unit was operating properly before he left. His total time from arrival to departure was about 1.5 hours.

The scope of the work was larger than what I was prepared for right now, but they were completely punctual.

The air handler turbine in the HVAC system was damaged by overuse. They did a fine job with the replacement. They were the most economical company. They came at the best price. They are a local company. I used them because they were the closest company I could find. Also, they were reputed. They came out and assessed the problem. They had to order the turbine, which took three days to arrive. Later, they did the replacement. They charged me $380. I was expecting it to be more expensive. They looked at the old turbine and told me that it can be spot-welded. So, I have retained the old turbine to get it welded. I am currently considering using them on an contractual basis for regular maintenance.

They were very good. They were on time and they actually did things for me that they didn't charge me for. I have nothing but good things to say about them. They were in and out in a day. I called them yesterday and they came out today. They spent all the time I needed going over the system and suggesting a couple of things that I wanted to change a little bit. They are good people and it worked out good for me. I would give them all A's and they were a pleasure to work with.
