Generally well. i would like the installers to have cleaned up more. There were glue marks and smudges all over the windows, and there was dust like depsits on my steps and plants.

They were very good, but like anything else you really have to watch what they are doing but they were very good. I got them for Angie's List. They had the best quote. They were very punctual. They were very good, but you have to obviously watch them what they are doing and check the stuff, but they were willing to change anything that was not correct or I was not happy with. There price was pretty reasonable, it is pretty much market, but because they only do windows they can give you a good price. Windows and doors, I think they do. Their quality was good. One guy came and showed me, they will try to sell you more and they did, but whatever I wanted I got him to write on the contract and made sure they followed it, so I was very vigilant. You have to make sure that exactly what you want you add it to the contract. So, I did all those things and when they finished the work I went to each window and I opened and checked them. There were a few that were not right and I made them take them out and fix them before I paid them.

Iobtained ALCO through an ANGIE'S LIST BIG DEAL. I chose to order 13 windows. After buying the BIG DEAL for $4,000 and charged the purchase to a credit card, according to the description o this BIG DEAL, I have purchased 13 double-hung replacement windows that are manufactured at there location of business. Per the final specs agreed upon between the provider and the purchase,r a contratct covering: Type of double-hung replacement windows to be installed for the price of the Angie's List BIG DEAL plus an additional $1,690 paymrent for adding the pieces to the windows that will give them the appearance of paned glasswindows .

We took advantage of their 5 window coupon and were quite pleased overall. Walter came out to demo the window and to take measurements. Everything was very professional. However, he indicated the windows would be back from the factory the third week of April, and thus I took off from work the last week of April for the install. At third week of April I called Walter and he then indicated that because we ordered triple pane windows, it would take longer from the factory. This was not indicated at the home visit or paper work and really did appear to be an excuse perhaps because too many windows being made in the factory at this time. The final result was that we could not get the windows installed until 20May2013 ,but the installer (Nick) did a really nice job putting them in within half a day and they are all working in good order. I would recommend ALCO Windows for the future to others, but their timelines are not quite as tight as promised if this is important to you.

They did a great job and were extremely pleasant to work with. I will use them again.

ALCO Windows were on time to the minute. Once there, they started working immediately. First removing old windows in basement, then installing the new windows. Then moved upstairs to the front bedroom, removed old windows and installed the new. Once all windows were installed, they chaulked all windows. They cleaned all debris that accumlated. The 2 employees worked non stop until the job was complete. They were ALL business! I will definetly recommend they to family & friends, as well as joining Angie's List!

Could have been better. The first appt that was scheduled no one showed up and never called. When I tried to call them I spoke with a man name Walter who said they had no record of me even calling. When I finally did get someone to come and replace the windows the workers started and didn't put anything down to catch thwe debris until I made mention of it. The windows are nice but the customer service needs much work.

The gentlemen came out and was very personable. It was no hard sale. He showed me the windows. They came out and came on time. His workmen capped the windows, which was really nice. I am just very happy with them.

I called Alco because I am shopping around for windows. I made an appointment for a consultation and a gentleman showed up at my home on the date arranged. As it turns out, he was not a regular salesman, but I believe said he is a factory supervisor. He was fairly condescending to me when I explained that I am just meeting and doing research at this time. The windows themselves look fine and the price offered is good, but this was just a fact-finding mission for me ( which I also explained when making the appointment).

The estimator promtly contacted us and set up a convenient appointment to go over the particulars. He explained all about the windows and then we were able to set up installation three weeks out. Our installation date was 3/28/13, weather permitting.

Start to finish was top notch..

I reached out to Alco when I saw the Big Deal back in February (five windows for $1999). They gave me a great quote to replace all the windows in my house. Once we had an agreement, Alex came out and measured all of the windows. After setting up the install date, I had to reschedule the work due to another conflict. Alco was fine with this and they showed up on the correct day. Nick and Vlad worked very efficiently and had all the windows installed on the first day. They finished capping the frames and installed all the screens on the second day. They seemed knowledgeable about the windows and they did a great job cleaning up on both days of install. I plan on using Alco again when I need to replace the doors in my house, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing their windows replaced.

They cleaned up after themselves. They are very efficient. They were fast. They did a pretty good job and the price was right. Everything worked out well.

We contacted them for an appointment to give an estimate. They were on time for the appointment and should us their products. They actually talked us out of the more expensive triple pane windows saying that the double pane windows would do the job for us and saved us a good bit of money by going with the double pane. They came to our home between 8 and 9 am and stayed on the job until about 7pm the first day and completed everything by 3pm the 2nd day.

Alco windows were offering a Big Deal on Angie's List. It said, " Five windows for $2000.00. I purchased a coupon because I knew I could get my money back from Angie's List and called the company immediately. I worked with Walter. He came on time, was very thorough and pleasant and made me feel confident that he knew his stuff when it came to windows. The windows in my house are oddly shaped so I figured that the deal wouldn't apply. Walter measured and decided I had 30 windows all together. And guess how much the bill was? Exactly $12,000. not a penny more. Oh and I purchased inserts which came to @$1250. but Walter charged me half. The windows are manufactured right in Philadelphia. They called right on time to tell me that they are ready to be installed. I have already referred the company to my contractor, who expects to use them for his future projects. We can't wait for the windows to be installed!

I cannot recommend Alco Windows highly enough. Their price is unbeatable, and the sales team and installers are phenomenal, as is the product. From start to finish it was a great experience working with them. My wife and I needed replacement windows for our new house and I saw the Big Deal coupon on Angie's List for Alco. I called the company and their salesman Alex came out the same day to measure all the windows, show me product samples, and discuss options. There was no sales pressure or attempt to upsell me on anything. The windows were completed within a couple of weeks, and a 2-man team from Alco came out to do the installation. They arrived on time and installed all 18 windows about 6 hours. They were cordial, professional, and cleaned everything up even better than when they arrived. Before they left I noticed a small issue with one of the windows (it stuck a bit when I went to tilt it out) and they fixed it immediately. The windows look beautiful and we are thrilled. If you need new windows, talk to Alco before getting sucked in by the "big names." You'll get a better product for half the price with a no-nonsense, professional group of people. You can't beat that.

The workers did a great job replacing my old windows with new Alco windows. They were professional and cleaned after they completed the job.

the person asked me a bunch of questions about the windows i wanted replaced, then when i told him how many windows, he made it sound like it just wasn't worth their time. ** in response to the Provided - If it is too expensive for you to give free estimates than you should not advertise that you give free estimates. Or put a condition on it, like free estimates for the installation of 5 or more windows. You are only making yourself look bad turning down work and advertising something for free when it is not.

The windows went fine. They put the windows in. I had a chest of drawer next to one of the windows they put in, they put a rag on chest of drawer that took the paint off the dresser. It was not an expensive dresser and I had no problems with that, but when I called back to tell the guys that I just wanted to let them know to tell your men not to put any rags on furniture because it took the paint off. The guy came and said it was due to nail polish remover in other words, it is not our fault, it is yours. They came in with a good price.

I used Alco because of the reviews on Angies list and they were fantastic from start to finish. with my work schedule it is very difficult for me to make appointments, I can only be available on specific days at specific times. When I called they were able to come out at the exact day and time that I needed them to. Walter came out, on time, really nice guy. I showed him all of the windows that needed to be replaced. I have been wanting to replace my double windows in my dining room with a bay or bow window and he explained that the size of the windows were so small that a bay window would look rediculous. The amount of wood structure that is required would make the size of the glass look bad. He said they would be able to make the window 'hole' larger but changing the actual structure would get expensive. Bottom line, he said yes they could do it, but I was gonna pay for it. Changing the actual structure of the house is totally different territory. Because we need to replace all of the windows in the house, I opted out of the bay window idea and we decided on one big picture window instead. For both the LR and DR, as both had the small double side by side windows. Walter was great, no pressure whatsoever. Discussing our options with him was like discussing our options with a friend. He didnt influence us one way or another. I loved that about Alco. They were here for US. Period. When he was measuring our kitchen window, he had a hard time getting to it because you have to lean over the sink and from there it is sunken in, like a window box. I joked about how whenever I need to open that window I have to climb up on to the counter. He suggested to us to put a slider window in, which we did. It looks really nice, you cant even tell the difference btw the slider and the regular windows until you get right up to it, and at that the only difference is how it opens. It looks the same. So we went with the financing, and decided to replace just the downstairs and once we pay off the downstairs windows we will replace the upstairs (with Alco of course!). We gave a deposit of $1,000.00 that day and he explained that it would take about a week to make the windows. They called about a week later and scheduled us for the following Thursday. Two guys showed up on Thursday, on time, really nice guys. They commented about how nice our hardwood floors are and promised not to 'mess them up'! They did such a nice job and while the one was caulking/sealing the last windows the other one was sweeping the house, and making sure no mess was left! I have NEVER had someone in my house working who was so conscientious about cleaning up. We were very impressed. The windows look beautiful, I LOVE the picture windows. They are beautiful. They do not open, as he explained they wouldnt, but all of the double hung windows open in for easy cleaning, have added security feature where if you want to crack the window someone from the outside cannot open it any further. They all have the grids in them, which are in between the double panes. Our old windows had grids but they were single pane windows and half the grids were missing b/c they kept falling out. These grids are here to stay! We couldnt be any happier with the job that they did!! A+ all the way!!

have to postpone an reset the install date. This was on a Monday. Walter, the scheduler said they usually reserved Saturdays for make up days so I assumed the following Saturday would be the day. BUT I got a call the next morning (Tuesday) from Walter saying his installers could possible make it out for a 1/2 day. THey got to the house around 1:00PM and got straight to work. Nick and is partner got straight to work. But true to what I had learned already about ALCO, Nick said with the srell frames it was going to be a tough job, slow and they might so some damage to the area surrounding the steels frames because they had to be cut out with a power saw. Nick also said they were not going to rush and would do the job the right way. They only finished installing 5 of the 9 windows that day. He said they would try to come back on Friday afternoon to finish but if not they would be back on Saturday. Friday was another weather day and Saturday snow was on its way so I just thought the schedule would be put off. I had relatives scheduled for that following week and really wanted to get the job done. On Saturday as Nick promised despite the weather and cold they showed up to finish the job. WOW. These guys never took a break and just busted their humps working. Despite the steel frams and all the other complications ALCO did a fantastic job on time and within budget. NO BS NO MUSS NO FUSS. These guys were great. I have to have some more windows replaced and beed some doors as well. I woudn't even consider call another company. If you was good job, reasonably priced with professional installers who know what they are doing then pick up the phone and call ALCO!

I don't remember what we spent. We purchased this through the big deal. The salesman smelled like cigarettes and wanted to tell me more about the windows than I cared to know. He had a suitcase with samples of why the windows were insulating, etc. He was perfectly nice, I just wasn't interested in his sales talk. Workers came on time, did a great job. Friendly, efficient. Hiccup was that there was a little confusion around the coupon/big deal, but we sorted that out. Good service.

We ordered 8 windows from Alco with an Angie's list coupon. We called to have the windows measured. The day of the appointment, the staff member called to cancel. After a call back, the owner came to complete the measurement, only a few hours later than the original appointment. After measuring the windows and discussing an additional 4 windows, we had an agreement and were told to expect a call in 3 weeks. The owner did persuade us to upgrade the package, something we had not budgeted for. He also recommended a different type of window in the kitchen and tempered class in the bathrooms. According to the owner, we were required to have lead abatement done, though we did not know for sure the age of the existing windows. Two weeks later, they called to schedule the installation. We agreed on the 30th, on the 28th they called to see if we could do it on the 29th. We agreed again. The installers came on time, did their work and left. They did leave more of a mess inside than expected, and tracked muddy footprints throughout the house. Overall, the windows look great, we'll see about their efficiency in future gas bills.

Overall,, this was a good experience. John came to my house, he went over the work and how it would be done, He gave me the estimate and explained that someone would come out and measure which did happen. After that, I called and scheduled the appointment for installation. They actually gave me a Saturday date which meant I did not have to take a day off from work. The two workers were on time, got right to work and finished the job by the afternoon. They were very courteous, andt they were very meticulous in their work. They were also careful about cleaning up after themselves. The two gentlemen who came worked very hard. It is early to tell but so far I really like the windows, and I like that they are a local company. Update: although I like the windows, some of the brown paint has chipped off in some small areas.
