It was a good experience and they were very helpful.

I would rate them very highly. They did a very thorough job. The quality of the windows is very good and they are the type that allow you to install a window air conditioner without damaging the plastic. The people that I spoke with were very good. There are cheaper windows available but not as good as these. I feel like I got my money's worth.

From our meeting with Nick the Sales Rep to the final installation approx. 6 wks. later, everything went better than I could have expected. The windows are very high quality & have reduced the noise & draft in our home dramatically. Our home is only 26 yrs old & we had Anderson windows, but they were very drafty! The installers were very prompt, courteous and answered any questions we had. They also cleaned up every last bit of debris from the old windows & didn't leave our home till everything was the way they found it! Very professional group & we would highly recommend them!

As it turns out, the HOA did require prior approval, and the township required a copy of that approval, so I wound up getting the permit because it was easier for me to do so. I was grateful that Walter had suggested I contact the HOA in the first place. The men who came to install the windows were punctual, efficient and answered all of my questions. The windows were installed quickly and they cleaned up after themselves. My little townhouse looks so much better now. Thanks for a great job and beautiful, well-fitted windows.

Alco did a great job. Their sales re Nick Altomare explained the process and the qualities of the windows in advance so we felt confident in what we were purchasing. The installer was very professional. He finished the entire job in one day and left the house in perfect order. We have an old stone-front home with traditional appointments, and we were very pleased to find that the vinyl windows with grids fits right in with the traditional style of the house. We are looking forward to a warm winter with our new weather-sealed insulated windows. We highly recommend Alco.

Everything was good and the windows were in in one day 12 windows. When they finished the installer showed me how to open them to clean them so I don't break the windows.

I purchased the Angie's list deal for 5 custom windows for $2,000. Ten minutes after purchase, they had contacted me to schedule my initial consult. We were able to set something up within the week to accommodate my work schedule. Walter came to my house and explained to me what windows we had purchased (double pane) and took measurements. He did offer the ability to upgrade the aluminum trim color, the window color, and the number of panes (triple pane vs. double pane). Each upgrade was reasonably priced, so we upgraded the aluminum trim color and we got one of the windows half frosted as it was in our bathroom. Walter took measurements of the existing windows, explained to me the timeline of when the windows would be ready for installation (3 to 4 weeks), and the preparations for installation (you have to remove curtains and blinds, and move furniture 3 feet from windows). About 3 weeks later, Alex from Alco gave me a call to schedule my appointment. I scheduled it two weeks out. I did not get a reminder call the day before or the morning of, but the installers did show up on time (around 10am). They were both really nice and went about their way taking out the old windows, and replacing the new windows. We did have one hiccup when the first of the old window frames fell onto the sidwalk with a loud bang, and my neighbors became concerned, but after a few sorry's on both my part and the installers part, it was fine. And the installers were much more careful with the other four window removals. The whole process took about 4-5 hours. The new windows are wonderful. They are quiet, they are easy to clean, and they were installed expertly. I would definitely use Alco again (and I plan to, once it is in my budget again).

The installers arrived at about 10 am with all the newly made windows. They started right away and worked diligently all day until all 29 windows were replaced, capped and caulked. I think they were finished by 8:30-9 pm. A very polite, professional team of two men did all the work. They did not seem rushed, but worked efficiently. The windows and service were a great value. Good service and good product for an excellent price, about 400 installed per window. What we needed for our budget. We agreed to pay extra for grids, 2 tempered glass and one casement window, all good decisions. I was pleased with the value and liked all the people I met. I would certainly work with this company again.

Sales rep, Nick A. is nice to work with and accountable. Alex took the measurements and explain why custom frames were needed (i knew customs would be needed) 2 installers completed the work in one day. They helped remove the window treatments (written in my contract), were very professional and clean, and the work looks good.

I did not use their service because my job was not appropriate for them. But, they were very friendly and spent a good amount of time on the phone with me, and ultimately referred me to someone that would be a good fit.

the project went well. no complaints. the job was done smoothly and quickly -- the windows were made at the local factory and didn't take long to be ready for installation.

I brought in four contractors for quotes on 16-17 vinyl windows to replace old units in a row house. Pella quoted me close $19,000 + framing replacement and then offered me "financing" when I objected. Basically, I'd owe closer to $28,000 by the time they'd have been paid off. Emerald came in at about $10k + framing replacement which was ok but decided to shop around further. Brought in a contractors who came in around $9k to $10k plus framing replacement. Alco came in last and actually brought samples of the windows to show me. I was informed about the construction and details included in their range of windows and was quoted a better price for the 17 windows installed plus $6 per linear foot of replaced framing if necessary. Their quote was the most precise, with samples and a lot of questions and discussion about what I wanted. When their contractor arrived to set up, we did a walk through to determine how much framing needed to be replaced. WE quickly identified rotted areas, what was salvageable and what wasn't, it wasn't all that bad - not nearly as bad as I had thought. The total came out to $136 over estimate - that's all. That's one h*** of a deal compared to the other estimates which came in. I will absolutely use this company again for future projects.

It went a little slow at first, but the installer was very good. Chips one of my exterior bricks, but accidents happen. Overall I'm very happy with the work. I'm planning on having two more windows replaced this fall. The companies owner came out with the installer and measured and the windows were installed in three weeks and they fit nice and tight. I'm saving quite a bit on heating and cooling costs already.

Provider arrived promptly on the agreed upon date and proceeded to install windows as per our contract. He completed the job in 4 hours and left the living room exactly as he found it.

This is the second time Alco Windows serviced my home in 2013. Via Angie's List I called & the Co. scheduled a date convenient to me to come out for an estimate. The person, Alex was very courteous. He measured & explained what could be done, how long it would take & that I would be satisfied. An installation date was agreed. I received a phone call the day before to confirm a time they would arrive. I felt reassured when the company truck was identifiable & the installer wore a company logo tee shirt. The job did not take long as I assumed. It was professionally completed, all of my questions were answered.

I had two dining room windows, two bedroom windows and a bath room window replaced. I had an additional cost of $220.00 because I requested grates in the upper section of each window and the addition of privacy texturing to the lower section of the bathroom window. I did not see an actual window samples during our meeting. We discussed the windows installation using brochures (my mistake). At the completion of the installation, I was initially happy with the overall appearance of the windows. With closer inspection I believe some of the features are not the quality I expected. One of which is the lifts for the screen. I spoke with the company about this and was told the design department is currently looking at this design because others have voiced concerns. My other concern was lost of window sill. I use the surface to display items, so this lost of window sill was a concern for me. I have had windows replaced before so I didn't realize this would be happen. I spoke with Alco rep who explained this is normal with replacement windows when properly installed there is going to be lost of up to half of your sill surface. I lost half, which also impacts the space available for blind and shades standard window treatments. Because I had windows replaced before and this was not the case, I was surprised at the lost of sill space. Being informed and asking the right questions is very important with any project. Each time I contacted Alco the representatives Walter and Alex were diligent in trying to make me comfortable with my concerns.

Introduction: I first heard about Alco from Angies List. The reviews were very good and the workmanship was excellent according to the fellow Angies List members. Hence I decided to call them in for consultation and to take a look at samples of their product. Consultation: Walter was the salesman that showed up at my house. He was very knowledgeable. He walked me through the entire process and gave suggestions to save money. (For example, he noticed that the casement window in my bedroom was really not adding any more light or air-circulation in the room and recommended I buy a picture window instead to save cost). He also mentioned that he will be able to work with me in allowing me to replace 5 or more windows at a time. Since I did not want to change all 28 windows in the house in one sitting, I opted to change 7 windows in 4 different trips. He was very helpful in handling the pricing as well. He notified me that if purchased within 1 year, the windows will all be the same price as the date of consultation. Installation: 7 windows took about 1.5 months to built. The windows were finally installed in August 2013. The technician Nick did a great job with the work. The was was neat and clean and they cleaned up well after the job. Overall Impression: For about 400 dollars per window ( Less than 100 united inches; install included), these windows were of great quality. They are made locally in Philadelphia. Customer Service is excellent. Highly recommend the business. Update: Ordered and installed 14 more windows. As I said above, all went well. They were on time and they did the work well. Windows seems to be of good quality. Final Price for 21 windows = 9530 (2 of them were casement which are more expensive than double hung) Update 08MAY2014: One of the window panes broke over the weekend. Called Walter. He ordered new glass and replaced the glass free-of-charge. So, it is good to know that they stand behind their commitment when it comes to warranty obligations. So warranty is an issue that is stopping you to buy from Alco, then I hope this update convinces you otherwise. Will definitely order more as summer arrives.

Very well--extremely professional--helped me move some furniture---highly efficient and even kept working in the rain. Did all the windows in 1 day! Very happy.

I purchased a deal from Angie's list. Time from my first appointment to installation was about six weeks. The installer worked quickly and efficiently. Only constructive feedback is that it would have been nice to have received a demo of the windows (I noted that others had received that on prior reviews). I plan to purchase more windows from them in the future.
