American Eagle was great to work with in all aspects. We moved into an older home about 3 months ago and we originally called them to do a chimney sweep. We were smelling oil and thought a chimney clean would help. When they came, they discovered that the chimney was already swept, but that the old oil furnace flue (I believe it was tera cotta) was crumbling - they recommended replacing it with a stainless steel one. They also recommended the cap to be extended to reduce the oil smell. While they were here to do the estimate, they also removed a small tree that was growing inside the chimney, at no cost. That morning I called their office and scheduled a second visit to complete the recommended work. They returned about two weeks later and completed the work - they were very professional and their work looks great!

They took the whole stone off the chimney and replaced it. They did a good job. We were happy with their service. They were out here the next day that we called them and they were very punctual.

American Eagle arrived promptly to clean our fireplace and chimney. They removed a considerable amount of creosote which had been blocking the chimney somewhat. While performing their cleaning we discussed several options for sealing the stonework on the outside of the chimney. Unlike a previous company, they did not find any reason for repairs. They said that the fluework was solid and just needed regular cleaning. I would definitely use them again, and would recommend them.

American Eagle #1 put a happy ending to the sad and horrible 10 year tale of our attempts to get our chimney in proper working order for a gas fireplace that had to be vented through the chimney. We knew something had to be done, but previous experiences left us terrified to call someone to identify and fix the problem. My greatest fear was that we would not be able to use the beautiful Homefires gas coal fireplace insert.. I was leaving the house one day and the American Eagle truck was outside. I spoke to the guys and they told me to call the office for an appointment. I did. They came out and told me what the problem was. They made me feel very confident that they knew what they were doing so we decided to go ahead with their suggestions. Without going into too much detail one problem was that I could smell a bad smell from the fireplace after we used it. The other problem is that we rescued three baby squirrels from the fireplace this summer and I was afraid it would keep happening. They told us in detail what the issues were and assured us that they could fix the problems. Basically there was no liner from the furnace to the chimney, the chimney was blocked and there were no chimney caps. Some re-pointing was also needed. The guys did a wonderful job. There is no smell coming from the fireplace. We have used the fireplace several times since the chimney was relined. I am very happy and would recommend this company to anyone.

I called their office on a Monday and explained what I needed. The lady I spoke to was very nice. She said they would have someone in my area on that Thursday, so I agreed to schedule the job for that day. The crew showed up earlier than expected, but that was good for me. They were very professional, explained what they would be doing and why. The work was done with no delay. I am very satisfied with their service.

I SET UP AN APPOINTMENT 3 WEEKS IN ADVANCE. TOOK THE DAY OFF WORK AND WAITED AROUND THE HOUSE, NO ONE EVER CAME. WHEN I CALLED TO INQUIRE, THE RECEPTIONIST WAS VERY RUDE, ANTAGONIZING AND CONDESCENDING. WHAT A WASTE!

I have an old house with a slate roof. American Eagle demonstrated care using a chicken ladder to inspect the chimney without damaging the roof. They were very cautious and careful. They were at my home for 30 to 40 minutes to perform the estimate. They did a thorough inspection and made sure to look at everything. It was a good experience.

We had seen them working on our neighbors house and asked them to stop by. They gave us a quote. We had a quote from them 10 years ago and it was almost the same price. They did a good job and we are having them back to do one more.
