They were prompt, efficient and clean. There was no dust or mess. Floors were in bad shape. Since walls were removed, part of the floor was never finished. When the job was complete, it was hard to find the difference in the floor. Very prompt at coming out to give initial quote.

It all went well but the second day when he came back, the stain in the entryway didn't quite take. He didn't like the way it looked so he started all over again in the dining room and entryway. Took a couple of more days but we didn't care what so ever. We'd rather have it done right. It's nice to see someone care so much about their quality of work. Will be using them again when the other rooms are ready. Also referred them to a friend and a cousin.

It was easy to schedule a meeting, and Andrew gave us a detailed written estimate of all costs on site. When we decided to hire them, gave 10% deposit and scheduled start date. The two men arrived on the date scheduled, worked hard and well on installing, staining and finishing the floors. They even helped us with the delivery of the wood (at no charge). We are very satisfied: - not a penny more was charged than quote - work was done as scheduled - we have beautiful hardwood floors We highly recommend Haven Hardwoods to anyone looking to get hardwood floors installed at very reasonable prices.

I called and was able to make an appointment that was convenient for me right away. On the day(s) of the service, they arrived on time and got right to work. The guys were great, explaining the process to me every step of the way. The floor is beautiful and I plan on hiring them again to do my stairs and foyer.

The workmanship is excellent. It was a pleasure having them in the house and a comfort to be able to trust them "home alone" when I was required to be away which was often. They were particularly mindful of my allergies and took extra measures to keep the work area clean and the dust particles contained. We requested bids on two additional projects before they left. We are looking forward to working with them again.

I found this company via a web search for hardwood installers in my area. My nephew is a carpenter and had recommended using the unfinished hardwood and have it sanded and sealed with polyurthane. Reading Haven Hardwoods web site gave me exactly the same recommendations my nephew had given me for finishing the floor. Everyone else was pushing pre-finished or laminate flooring and didn't want to even consider anything else. The initial visit by Andrew was a very pleasant experience. Not only was he personable, but more important - he listened and offered suggestions when asked. He incorporated my ideas into the plan and suggested refinements as needed. One of the rooms was an odd shape and the room next to it had the wood running the opposite direction to the way the new flooring needed to be installed. I suggested the possibility of putting a picture frame type of border around the edge of the room. Andrew knew exactly what I was talking about and quickly incorporated it into the plan. Scheduling getting the project started worked well as they worked around my schedule as well as theirs. The problems started when the carpet was removed and they found that I had a leak along one wall (I'm really glad they found it instead of continuing!). The installation had to be put on hold while the leak was corrected. The contractor who did the repairs significantly delayed the work on the floor. Throughout it though Andrew kept in touch and when things were finally to a point the installation could continue quickly worked me into their schedule. I've never dealt with a more professional company. They arrived when they said they would, let me know what they intended to accomplish that day and then accomplished it. At the end of each day everything was cleaned up and tools were stacked neatly out of the way. They did the work themselves - you didn't have a different crew of people in the house every day like is true with some companies. Several things came up during the project that needed done in addition to the planned work. Their attitude was always 'not a problem' and they included the extra work without letting it affect the overall schedule. Quality of workmanship was excellent. The flooring turned out absolutey beautiful and I'm really glad I found these two great guys.

Tyler and Andy from Haven Hardwoods did a fantastic job on hardwood floor installation and refinishing in our home. We purchased the hardwoods separately through Baird Bros (also fantastic) and had Haven Hardwoods install the floors + refinish one room. They installed approx 950 sq/ft of flooring and refinished another 400 sq/ft + installed 12 steps. I would definitely recommend them to others and are considering them for other work in our home. They performed this task in about 8 working days - 1 day LESS than the estimate. Aside from how pleased we were with the work they performed, they are very nice people and took care of our home and were respectful of our requests related to our dog and his comfort/safety during the process.My only criticism is that sometimes they are very quick to respond via email and other times....not so much. Haven Hardwoods was fantastic to work with from start to finish. Andrew always answered phone calls and e-mails in a timely and professional manner. I'm disabled, so the project involved some unique challenges because of my situation. They were extremely willing to work with me and had no problem accommodating my needs. There were a lot more details to work out in advance than there would have been without my disability, and they were always willing to answer my questions and get the information I needed. Usually, I spend a lot of time waiting on any contractor I hire, but Haven Hardwoods was exceptional. They happened to have an opening and were able to have the work completed one week after my initial phone call, even with the additional prep. time. I called another flooring installer the same day and haven't even been called back yet. The quality of work was well above average. I wish we would have hired them to install the flooring on our second floor, but we weren't Angie's List members then to find them. All my concerns were addressed, and they gave me options on how to handle some awkward thresholds. The floors look AMAZING!! They did good quality work that will last. Thanks, guys!!

Our initial experience was good?we got a quote immediately and set up the job. The contractors arrived on time, explained what they were going to do and got right to work. We approved a stain and they finished the floor and did the first coat on the first day. On the second day of work we saw that the stain had turned out quite a bit lighter than we though; while we weren?t quite happy with it, we understand that wood flooring can take up stain in different ways. That second day the contractors finished and buffed the floor, installed new trim, and left it to dry. When it had dried a day later we found that there was quite a bit of dust and debris that had been caught in the finish, and that the finish was very rough across some of the floor. In addition, the trim that had been installed had a 1 inch gap behind a radiator. When we asked the contractors to return one of them seemed surprised that we had an issue with the trim being incomplete. After a resanding of the floor and refinishing the finish quality was much better, and the trim was then replaced to fill the entire space. Overall the project turned out alright but we were disappointed about the need to police obvious defects of quality.

They returned my initial inquiry call promptly. They were able to schedule the work according to my needs. The price was comparable to others, about the middle range. They arrived right when they said they would on both days and finished when they said they would be finished. They were neat and careful with our home. They were polite, honest and courteous. I actually enjoyed interacting with these guys and plan to hire the for future projects.

Tyler and Andy, the co-owners of Haven Hardwoods are some of the nicest, most professional, and skilled guys you could ever meet. They refinished the floors in my own home a year ago, and I had such a good experience, I hired them again to refinish the floors of a home owned by a friend who now lives out of state. They were always prompt to return phone calls, were completely punctual, fair, honest, and incredibly hard working. Both in this home and my own home, they finished ahead of schedule. I couldn't have been happier. Also, they use a dustless sanding process that cuts down on about 90% of the dust sanding usually creates. Plus, they use environmentally responsible finishes on the floors.
