Girard's Garage Door Services

Things went well. I called at 8AM when they opened, and got an 8AM to 10AM window. Tech was here by 9:15, work was finished by 10:15. Both springs replaced, along with wires, and light sockets as well.

Very professional and performed the job in a few hours. Great service.

Girard's was responsive and showed up when they said they would. It was bitterly cold out today (10 degrees), but the technician, Corey, worked through it anyway. He initially told me the price and the final cost was somewhat less when I used the Angies List coupon. The only less than positive aspects were several remarks that we should never attempt repairs ourselves. At one point he mentioned that I needed new springs on my other garage door, and I mentioned that I had replaced the springs on the one that he worked on over a year ago. His reply was "yes, I fixed that" as if my repair was inadequate and hadn't kept the door operational. I understand that do-it-yourselfers are anathema, but if these services were not so expensive to begin with, I would be less tempted to maintain my home myself. Regardless, the remark was uncalled for. He did not tell me what was wrong with my installation job, or if I had created a dangerous situation.

I had my Garage door opener remote stop working recently. Went on Angieslist to search for providers. 2 providers responded. The first person from another provider came and immediately started selling a new set of garage opener remotes. I told him that it doesn't seem to be a problem with the remotes, but the IC board. and then he started selling a new opener itself. Meanwhile Tom from Girard's called me asked me a few questions and over the phone itself told me what could potentially be the problem, which was the IC board. Scheduled a visit by his technician, who came and fixed it promptly. He reconfigured all the remotes and inspected the springs and other parts. Girard's would be on my speed dial now for all Garage door services. Would recommend Girard's any day.

They kept changing their arrival time & were constantly running behind schedule. When Jim arrived he said we needed a new main spring/coil & quoted a price . We agreed to the repair & Jim did the work. After he left I noticed a weird clicking sound in the new spring that sounded like metal popping. I called them about the noise & when Jim arrived the following Monday he said it was normal & seemed very annoyed that we called about it. ( I told him we had that same spring replaced before & never heard any noise like that). He then lubricated the spring with a spray & the noise went away. I thanked him & wished him a Happy Thanksgiving but he did not acknowledge either one & left in a hurry. Very rude & unprofessional!!!

Responsiveness rated a B as they indicate service in hours, but an originally scheduled appointment for Tuesday was moved to Friday (during Thanksgiving week). Service was performed in a timely manner, to our satisfaction. Garage door was opening and closing smooth and silent.

The technician from Girard's Garage Door Services was professional and knowledgeable. We are very satisfied with his work. The technician was very helpful in answering all our questions and gave extra instructions on usasge of the garage door unit

The guy arrived late, couldn't help it, his truck broke down and he had to get another truck. Unfortunately, he did not have the part but he did come back the next day as he promised and he fixed it. Things do happen I have no complaints they were very good. He apologized, he was very professional.

Okay! I think this is very expensive to put only a bar on the garage door, the gentleman took 10mins to get it done. The quote was 187 and the consultant had an attitude. It was only reduced because I had a coupon from Angie's List. The tech who did the work 2 days later was more cordial.

It went great! Gave us options and prices for all the options. We were able to use a $40 coupon I printed from Angie's list.

The spring was replaced and the other springs in my 2 car garage were examined. Safety was a concern. Everything was repaired quickly and efficiently. The repair person was friendly and took the time to explain everything and broke everything out by cost before doing any repairs. The response time from when I contacted by email until someone came out was very quick. I was impressed by the service.

Great service and pricing. Technician was running a little late and I had to leave for another appointment. Cory installed the spring in record time so I wouldn't be late. He was great.

These guys are great. They got me an appointment quickly and were able to identify and fix the problem. They were on time, courteous and explained everything so well. The door works even better than before...its so quiet!

Corey knew exactly what needed to be done, installed the item properly and tested it for safety. Everything done in about 1.5 hours.

Fabulous! Couldn't be happier! They were able to figure out the correct unit needed, ship it to me, and walk through the programming, so all I paid for was the wireless keypad itself, NOT A SERVICE CALL.

From the time I called to the time they completed the work was 2 hours! Blair was over two hours early (which was great for me), was professional, knowledgable, and polite. He was clearly an expert and finished his work in the time he said he would. Price was very fair. We spoke about adding new garage doors on all three bays and I will certainly call them to perform that work when the time comes.

I can see why this company is highly rated. Was able to schedule for same day service, they arrived on time. Item was quickly replaced and the price was on par with what I was hoping to pay. Would definitely use Girard's in the future. Very happy customer.

I called Gerard's and they came out the following day and gave me an estimate to fix the one door and suggested that we have the 2nd or done as well to prevent the same thing happening. They said by doing both doors at the same time, the cost would be cheaper than separate. The gentleman that came out spent the whole day working on both doors and did a very good job and was thorough and cleaned up everything before he left. The gentleman also explained as to why are cable broke and suggested a better grade material.

Garage door working properly after fix. They also check on the Spring tension in the other two garage bays. Told me the other two were fatigued, but might last another two more years, so only replaced them when they break.

I called and the next day appointment was set up. Vince the technician did an excellent job of inspecting and servicing the door. He was punctual and very professional and friendly.. Extremely helpful with questions that I had. I am so happy to have called Girards Garage Door Services and will certainly recommend them to friends and neighbors Will now use them for my garage door servicing.

The technician, Ryan, did a great job. Turned out the non-functioning opener contained an elaborate mouse nest that had jammed up the works inside. Ryan untangled it despite the high yuckiness factor and got the opener working again. He also lubricated the door tracks and moving parts and did the same for my other sticky door. When he was done there was a noticeable improvement in the action of both doors. So this probably falls under the 'overdue routine maintenance' type of call, but it was handled well, promptly, and inexpensively, and has given a bit more life to my aging door openers. I will definitely use Girard's again for future garage door needs.
