Serviceman, Blair, was sent out within a day of my call. Could not be more happy with the final product and service.

They are very dishonest. They used bait and switch tactics. If you didn’t buy their $65 surge protector they wouldn’t guarantee the work, however I looked into the price of surge protectors and they are $5. They continued to tell me many things that needed to be repaired. I finally just asked them to leave.

Phone rep was courteous and scheduled a repair for the same day. The initial quote seemed pricey but they came in significantly under budget. Their quick professional service beat the hours of frustration it would have taken to do a home-repair. They know all the tricks and the door hasn't functioned so well in years.

We knew the doors had never been serviced so we were just hoping the deal would make them better. The young man came out at 5PM as we both work and performed the service quickly and cleanly. We asked him about parts for the doors and he made us a great deal to replace all parts on all three doors. He did this work the same day very quickly and the doors are like new. Plus the deal included a keypad. We could not be happier about this company and the work they did on our doors. We would absolutely use them again and we have recommended them to our neighbors!

He did an excellent job and fast - the door is like it was fifteen years ago when it was purchased. I spent more than I expected to but they traveled some distance and a lot of parts were replaced due to fifteen years of wear and tear. They guarantee their work for ten years and have coupons. Their customer service team is pleasant and professional. They are a great business to deal with and they stand behind their work.

They responded promptly and arrived the next morning on time. They were very professional. I would highly recommend them.

Girard's provided just what the coupon offered--keypad installation and complete garage door inspection. I received an appointment as quickly as I needed, they arrived on time, and completed the job efficiently. I would definitely use them again.

He's a number 1 person in our area. He was very good. We chose to use him because he was on Angie's List. We called him up and he told us that he would have somebody in our house in 4 hours. We had him and it was fixed. He was very prompt and we are using him again on the 12th of June. His price was right in the range of what I knew I was going to spend.

He called first, arrived on time, and went right to work after we reviewed what needed to be done to fix my automatic garage door. I would definitely call them again if I needed another garage-door repair.

As he told us our basic equipment was pretty new and in good shape, we left it at that, but when the inevitable occurs and we need to replace additional components, I will not bother to shop around, as I have already found a processional and honest garage door service who has won my trust and respect. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the honesty and integrity shown by this company. When we consider we could have just waled away from this with the forty buck service call and a fifteen buck part, we feel pretty fortunate considering all the JAMFS out there ripping off home owners. Highly recommended.

I would recommend this company but if price is important, you may want to shop around.

On Saturday our garage door wouldn't close and I noticed that one of the springs was stretched and that the springs were not providing adequate counterbalance. I called Girards and they set an appointment for Monday morning. They showed up as promised and replaced the springs as well as frayed cables, cable sheave bearings, and the rollers (I think). It was a package price. The garage door is now not only working, but working much more smoothly and quietly than it ever has. We are very pleased.

When my wife left this morning, the garage door descended, accompanied by a loud "bang." It's a double door and one of the springs had broken. I found this company through a full-page add in the phonebook. They were up to my house within 45 minutes of my call. The young man was very pleasant and informative (he also knew what he was doing by the organization and effeciency of his work). The house is only 7 years old. He suggested replacing both springs, as their tension life is about equal (the other one would go sooner, rather than later). He also noted that the builder had omitted an important bracket, which attaches to the lift lever. It was currently attached direcly to the door, which is not a strong material. After he added the bracket, you could appreciate the difference. He finally recommended a surge protector, made by the same company that made the lift mechanism (Liftmaster).. He lubricated the new springs, all the brackets' bushings, and recommended repeating this with a specific silicone spray made for garage doors in the future (which he did not try to sell me - only recommened Home Depot. The springs are guaranteed for 10 years; the electrical circuitry for 5 years. His work took less than an hour. I will use these folks in the future and would recommend them. (I didn't shop around for price, but I feel the materials and labor - $454 - were reasonable for their quick availability and the excellence of the workmanship.)

The work was performed very professionally and timely. The installer was courteous and did an excellent job. We love our new garage door. It has really enhanced the beauty of our property. Also, the total price was exactly what was estimated. No hidden costs. We were also reassured that if there were any problems with the door in the future, we should not hesitate to call the company.

During the week there was a loud crash in my garage my garage it was the garage door spring breaking off the hinge. How and why I do not know I'm just glad no on was down there when it happened because it was a large spring. The next day I called Girard's and they came out that weekend on time and in about 1/2 an hour the job was done easy breezy.

Place a call Saturday night, after one of the springs on our doors broke, and they arrived first thing Monday morning as promised (I was pleasantly surprised to reach someone on a Saturday night). Service was done quickly and to my satisfaction. Given that this was somewhat of an emergency, I went solely based on previous angieslist comments. After the work was done, I made some phone calls to a couple of other garage door companies in our area and found that the amount paid was a bit high for the services provided. That said, however, I am still satisfied with the work that was done. They even fixed the fact that one of our doors was closing harder on one side.

It was a warranty issue. There was some damage done due to a badly installed opener and they knocked a lot off the price. It was not a typical price. We had a garage door opener that was installed. There was a mistake in the installation. Then they came back and replaced the garage door. We ended up replacing the garage door but we got free labor because there was a mistake in the installation of the opener. The quality of the work was good. We will use this company in the future.

The most responsive, responsible, knowledgeable service we have received in the Poconos. Cory was the technician and he did an outstanding professional job.

I called in the morning and they set up an appointment between 12 and 2. Blair arrived around 12:30 and explained the problem and how he planned to fix it. He estimated it would take 45 minutes. When he was done, he went over future options with me.

Very professional, punctual. Good quality of service, recommended options that actually enhanced the product being sold. Price paid was exactly what was estimated. Good company. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I called and made the appointment for the next day. A little later they called me back and asked if they could come the same day. They showed up on time the next day. The technician I worked with was Jason. He explained what the issue could have been. We agreed that he would replace the rollers on both garage doors as well as adjust the most frequently used door as it would not stay shut. Rollers were $130/set. Service charge was $55. Did not charge for adjustment, replacing the battery in a keypad nor the education of a ignorant garage door customer. Later the same day, he had to come back to make a couple more adjustments as the garage door was still not staying shut. He did not charge us for the return visit. Good company. Good experience.
