They were very professional and on time for the estimate. However, the estimate was more than we were wanting to spend.

some appointments needed to be rescheduled on their end, office staff not the most friendly ....installation service & product quality went well , happy with end product...would recommend & use again.

I was happy that they could come out that afternoon and complete the work. They adjusted the sensors so that the door would close. I did appreciate the quote also for a new garage door, at least I have an idea of what to expect.

I had an appointment set for Saturday between 10 am & noon. James came out a little after 10am and took a look at our lock (the wire had snapped which prevented the door from being opened from the outside). James went over all of our options (replacing lock, adding a door opener, or replacing the wire) and prices and we decided to have him replace the wire. He completed the job very quickly and did not overcharge us. We were very happy with his work and professionalism.

I am very pleased with the work that was done and the beauty and quality of the doors. I had planned on keeping my old garage door openers but after discussing with my installers, Vince and James decided that if I was putting this much money into having the such a good quality garage door it would be wise to have new openers installed at the same time for best operation. What a difference. I would highly recommend using Girard's. My entire experience from calling for the estimate to the final installation was excellent. I called to get an appointment for an estimate on 3/25/13 and was told that someone would be out the next day. They actually called back later that day and asked if they could come that afternoon. Once I decided on which doors I wanted and called in my selection it took only two weeks to have my doors installed. Excellent customer service and quality work.

I am very happy about the work that our Tech which was Mike did. He explained everything to use because this is the first home my Fiance and I got and weren't sure what was all wrong with the garage door. He explained everything to us and suggested extra things we should do to make it keep better because our garage opener is as old as the house is so he was telling us what we need to get. He was very prompt and didn't rush and took his time which my Fiance and I liked. I wouldn't of asked for a better technician. He did everything in a timely fashion and now our garage door works perfectly fine! We are so excited and would recommend our fellow friends and family to use Girards. A+++!!!!!!!!!!!

They were incredibly responsive. We called and they put us on the schedule immediately. They were there within 2 hours. They diagnosed the problem (which was sub-standard work on the original installation) and made the repairs immediately. It took some mechanical work and the door works better than ever and is extremely quiet. I have nothing to compare pricing to, so it may be good. It was just more than I had hoped. We would definitely highly recommend them.

Before leaving for vacation, we had a major issue with our garage door - it wouldn't open! The system was about 15 years old, and we've had issues with it before. So I disconnected some of the gear to get the door open, went on vacation and when we returned I looked on Angie's list for a service company. After reading the reviews for Girard's, I gave them a call (it was Friday morning). They made the appointment to have someone out on Saturday morning (that was faster than expected!). The technician was pleasant and knowledgeable and discussed the options. My existing door was kind of beat up, because the older opener had pushed it down too hard, too often. But the tech suggested a way to salvage the door, make it stronger and last years more. So I went for the service to replace all the moving parts, add four struts to re-enforce the door and replace the opener plus new remotes. I was very pleased with the service and outcome. I was hesitant to spend a lot, but considering how much a new door would cost, the repairs and upgrades were worth it! We did have an issue 2 days after install that required the tech to come back - the door wouldn't close, acting like there was something blocking the sensor. After doing an adjustment, everything worked fine - for 2 more days. The original tech came out, and did some more adjustments and we haven't had a problem since. The opener is very quite and I'm confident the closing issue has been resolved.

My garage door opener started opening only partially. I had assumed that my garage door opener was going bad. Called to get a quote for a replacement. James came and inspected my garage door its mechanisms and the opener. He determined that the force on my garage door opener needed a simple adjustment. I was quite relieved to learn that was all that I needed. He made the adjustments and I am one happy customer. :-)

Called,made appointment on Friday evening, they arrived on time Saturday afternoon, door was fixed in 30 minutes, good as new. Technician knew what he was doing and never gave the impression that he would take advantage of the situation.

Job quoted for about 4-6 hours. Installer arrived on time, discovered rotten jamb wood and felt replacement was needed. He was absolutely right. He replaced the entire garage door frame as part of installation; additional charges for same very reasonable. He also arranged for second installer to ensure same-day completion of all work. Installation was done in a manner that made my self-installation of an opener easy. Both installers were very professional and wanted to do a job anyone would be pleased with. I was; I will definitely use again.

I had the most wonderful experience with Girard’s Garage Door Services yesterday. I got the appointment I wanted, they came on time and my garage doors are not only repaired, they are awesome! The new rollers (guaranteed for life) blew me away as there is literally NO sound coming from the doors now – just the hum of the Whisper Drive motor. I also now can operate the doors from the buttons in the car so no more remotes hanging from the visors. My technician Blair gave me great advice and useful information. He also was friendly, professional and had a great sense of humor. I will never use anyone else again for garage doors and will tell everyone I know to use these guys.

My initial contact with this company was a good one, therefore I chose to return for service again, however due to mis-communications between myself and the service person I was not satisfied with the service and wrote a review that reflected this. The service manager called me a regarding my concerns and experience. The manager was concerned about my satisfaction with the work his company performed. After my conversation with the service manager we were able to resolve the issues and clear up the misunderstandings I had regarding the cost and price for replacement garage door opener.The manager sent me a check to reimburse me for money I paid out of pocket. I was impressed that this company took the time and effort to contact me and resolve the issues that I had. This kind of customer care is a plus and does reassure that if there are concerns the company will address them. Therefore I am rating this company with an A for service and follow through with customer satisfaction.

They were excellent. They didn't try to upsell me, they just let me know of my options and were not pushy. They were very professional, knowledgable and pleasant to work with.

Our (very) old garage door had a spring cable snap and then the rollers started breaking and coming off the tracks to the point I couldn't open the door anymore. Based on Angie's List reviews, I contacted Girard's and Mike came out to give us a quote the next day. They worked to get us within our budget for a door overhaul and for adding an opener. Since we're waiting to get power in the garage, Mike came out to do the door replacement so we could at least close our door. The door was in rough shape and the job took longer than expected, but it is now working. Mike had to work into the night to get the job done, and added some extra support to reinforce the door - something that wasn't noticed in the original inspection. Based on my experience with most contractors, I expected an additional charge to be brought up when it was time to make the payment, or at least a reminder that we had been quoted a lower price for this portion of the job since we were also getting a door opener as part of the package. Nope. Mike had the bill written up for the discounted price. No hassle. That was very much appreciated. Showed up as promised, good, competitive pricing, and quality work. What more can you ask for? Highly recommend and look forward to having them back to put in the door opener once we get power to the garage. Experiences like these make the Angie's List subscription worth every penny.

Installer arrived on time and worked diligently until the job was completed. Before he left, he took the time to explain everything he had done, and took particular care to explain how to properly maintain the door for optimum operation.

It went great. They were on time, professionl and very friendly. I did refer them to someone else and suggested they become and Angie's List customer to get the great discount for this particular service.

The company lists Saturday and Sunday hours. We had an emergency on Saturday with garage door railings coming off the garage ceiling, trapping two cars inside. I called and left 2 voice mail messages, one on Saturday around 6 PM and another on Sunday morning, but nobody called me back. Granted they are not the only company that failed to call back. Pretty bad for a company that lists Sunday hours and is in business where emergency response is needed.

we had purchsed a wireless keypad for our garage doors 8 years ago from a local store and installed it ourselves. It never really worked so when I saw this special on Angie's list I decided to fix the problem. I call them on Friday afternoon thinking I would schedule for a day in the next month or so and they said, how 'bout tomorrow at noon. Wow, that's quick turnaround! The service man showed up on time and within 30 minutes we had a new keypad that actually works on both of our garage doors and the door opener on my husbands car that he could never get to work right. The service provider was terrific, helpful and polite. I would definitely use them again!

They were on time. Very nice and no problems. The remote, however, is very cheap and less money on Amazon. I expected a better deivce. It also does not work very well and only opens occassionally.

Installer was punctual, courteous and replaced my keypad with what seems to he quality parts. Keypad has been functioning perfectly now for months.

The guys showed up on time, explained the problems with my garage door. Fixed it quickly. Overall, great experience.
