From the start, we knew we were going to use Mike for our basement seepage issue. Unlike most of the other 'waterproofing' snake oil salesman, Mike is an honest and trustworthy person who will help you solve your issue at the reasonable price, not look to profit from your predicament or desperation. Mike doesn't require both 'decision makers' to be home at the time of the estimate. There is no sales pitch. He explains what the issue is, and what would be the best solve for it. That is refreshing in this particular industry! After scheduling a date for the work to be done, Mike kept us informed on when he'd arrive and what to expect when the work was taking place. His crew was extremely friendly and worked hard - there was no lazing around that we saw! (And we were home the whole time) It took about 1 and a half days to complete our particular project, and the results are gorgeous. No hidden extra costs, the estimate was dead on with the work completed. We highly recommend Mike and A+ Water proofing if you are looking for a hard worker with true values to help you resolve your issue. A+++++

This is the second time Mike has done work for us. As before, all work performed effectively and efficiently without drama. He tells it like it is; not the type to try to get one over on you. When structural issue was discovered, we discussed options with my carpenter (who would need to rebuilt inside door frame of Bilco door entrance). Mike made sure the repairs he needed to do would fit with our needs to rebuild the door frame. Finished work turned out better than expected.

He was a very nice young fellow and rather than, he says 'Oh what I had wanted to do was going to cost too much, I didn't need to do that, this other thing would probably solve the problem' and it did. I would recommend him again because he was very nice and not pushy. He was very knowledgeable about what he did and he didn't insist that I have to do something that would cost more that I really didn't need to do.

I emailed the owner Michael Tuesday evening, he called me the next morning and set up an appointment for today, Thursday. They arrived on time, extremely professional, and explained what needed to be done to fix my leak in my basement. They worked quickly and cleaned up. They even cleaned up the mess from all the leaking water in my basement. I was truely impressed with them. I will sing their praises to anyone who will listen.

A+ Waterproofing & Foundation Repair answered their telephone at 9:40 pm the night of the incident. Michael told me to call him at 8:30 am and he's schedule a time to come out and do the work. We talked and he had a crew here by 12:00 pm and the work was completed within 2 hours. They went above-and-beyond by resealing my sump pump, diverting the external water flow from my sump pump, cutting a gutter downspout, and leaving the basement fully cleaned of water/mud. They did all of this for the price he quoted me at 9:40 pm the night before. Very good experience. Highly recommended.

Mike and his team were very professional and kind. They were pleasant to have around the home and did an outstanding job. When they were finished they cleaned up the basement area and work area outside. They even blew some extra leaves off my back porch. The job was finished in less than 3 days. They were more than half the cost of a larger company for the same work. We are very happy with the finished job and would highly recommend them. It was nice to hire local.

We had a small leak in the basement on a wall that when it rained the water came flowing in. A pvc pipe that came into the basement from the well. The wall was cinder block and was behind the electrical panel and in a corner.He used a long plastic tube and expandable foam to close off the hole.He quoted the price on the phone and that was what I paid. A job well done and quaranteed not to ever leak.

I was impressed by their professionalism and the quality of their work. They came when they were supposed to, they are careful to minimize the mess, they took care of the problem and they didn't jerk up the price after the work was done. WOW! they are A+ in my book.

Michael and his crew were prompt and courteous and completed the entire job within the time frame given. They placed drop cloths throughout the room and cleaned up and removed all debris. We had gotten this same leak "repaired" by another contractor for 10x the amount, and the fix did not work. I called Mike at A+ Waterproofing to set up an estimate, and, after asking a couple questions, he ascertained the etiology of the leak. He gave me an estimate over the phone and we set up a date for the work. He personally arrived on the date of service and repaired the leak quickly and efficiently. He was very helpful in explaining why the leak had happened and how it was being prevented in the future. His estimate given over the phone was exactly what he charged me. And the best part is, my basement is still dry after 4 months and lots of spring rain! A+ Waterproofing is a honest, reputable business and I would use them again in the future.

When I called Michael to ask about possibly coming over to do an estimate on repairing the cracks that leaked with prior heavy rains, he asked me about the details of the cracks and gave me an estimate over the phone and we scheduled a repair date. On the day of the repair, Michael called and said that they were already in the area and could possibly do the work earlier than the scheduled time. I agreed and they came and finished the work. They are all very punctual, professional and they did not leave any mess behind. Michael even did a survey of the walls and identified other cracks that needed repair as well. They came for the second time today, 6/11 and repaired two additional cracks. Same thing, they came earlier than the scheduled time (after asking my permission of course) and did an excellent job in repairing the cracks. Again, they were very respectful of your house, putting down drop cloths where they would be walking in and out of the basement and again, no trace of dirt or refuse from the repair. I highly recommend A+ Waterproofing and I am glad that I found them from Angie's List. I would surely use their services again in the future.

We knew we had problems with dampness in our crawl space when we purchased our home and had gotten estimates a number of years ago for a sump pump and french drain. Our crawl space flooded last spring and we needed to have it address immediately. We had first contacted Value Dry and did not have a great experience with the estimate process. We then contacted Mike and he came out right away. He told us upfront that he would need to pump out the crawl space ($175.00) and then would be able to give us an estimate. He didn't expect us to sign an agreement until he could first go into the crawl space and give an accurate estimate. The estimate was in line with what we had expected. He told us it would take 5 days and it did. This was a very difficult job as our crawl space is only about 3 feet high and has a very small opening and a concrete floor. His team did an amazing job, exceeding our expectations. They were very professional. There were a few problems that affected other areas in our home, but they were quickly rectified. He was very easy to contact and very responsive. It has now been almost a year. Everything is working great and our crawl space is always dry. We could not have gotten a better value for our money. We highly recommend.

Mike Boreman is the type of business owner I like to deal with. After he reviewed with me the proposed work, I hired him on the spot. Mike would not take a deposit; likes to work off of a handshake. Mike was able to schedule me within 1 week. He showed up on time, performed the work himself and finished on time. Best of all -- no mess! The basement area where the work was done was left clean and there was no sign of concrete dust anywhere. The trench in the yard was seeded and covered in straw. I highly recommend A+ to anyone needing waterproofing work around their home. This was my first time using Angie's list. I don't have the time or patience for calling business references. Angie's list provided that service for me with their on-line reviews.

The owner, Michael, and his workers; namely Alex and Shawn arrived on time and promptly prepared protective coverings for the wall and floor upstairs as our basement has no exit. Michael and his crew are very hardworking as well as professional and courteous. The job was completed in two days and they cleaned up well. Michael will advise you on the most cost effective solution for your problem as well as give you his expert suggestions. He installed the sump pumps in an out of the way location and not a drop of water has entered our home since! It was a pleasure having these men in our home as all three of them are so nice and helpful, and their work is of high quality. My husband and I would definitely recommend them.

Interior basement drywall had signs of moisture wicking in from the exterior part of the slate wall. The slate wall is flush against outside concrete stairs, and during periods of rain, the slate would transfer the dampness and moisture inside and saturate the drywall. (The house was built in the 1800's.) Mike & his crew removed the old stucco and plastic mesh on the exterior wall, applied tar paper, steel mesh, stucco and skim coat. They also applied tar paper, steel mesh, concrete, and blue foam insulation to the interior wall. Mike also insulated areas he said "felt like an air conditioner on the high setting" to block any air flow that was there, and that contributed to the wall being cold and damp during all seasons. As soon as the interior wall was concreted, I noticed a big difference in the basement. The dampness was gone!! It got even better after the blue foam insulation was applied. I can now heat the basement using a low setting on the portable heater... The wall is no longer cold to the touch! Before the repair, I had to run a heater almost continuously during the winter, and it had to be on the high setting to get the room somewhere near to being liveable. The molding and drywall was completed by Steve of SJH Contracting, a sub contractor Mike uses. Steve did a great job on the carpentry,drywall and spackle. Mike, his crew, and Steve were very nice and kept me informed of their work and the progress of the job. Mike returned to check that all was done to his standards. I am very, very pleased with A+ Waterproofing and also with SJH Contracting. I will definitely use them in the future!

Mike from A+ Waterproofing is excellent! Mike is very prompt...he does what he says he is going to do. Mike showed up on time for my estimate and then gave me an estimate immediately. Mike showed up with his crew on the day scheduled and completed the job on time. This is not easy or clean work (ripping up the concrete basement floor) but Mike completed the job on time and cleaned up quickly so I didn't have dance around concrete dust. Job was completed on time and on budget. Thank you Mike for making this extremely painless!

The work went well and arrived on time and day agreed upon. The work took about 3-4 hrs and when left, the basement was cleaned up and very little debris was left behind. Job was done clean and professionally.I would strongly recommend to anyone wanting work done to their house.

The job went as perfectly as possible. From the promptness of response, scheduling of work, professionalism of the owner & workers, evaluation of our needs, and completion of the job - nothing could have been done better. Our basement has not had even one trickle in it. The sump pump has not needed to be used, but is there in case of necessity.
