Toran Heating & Air Conditioning

They were excellent and stayed at my apartment way beyond 5:00pm to complete the job and to make sure that everything was working properly. ( It was a very hot day during the summer and they made sure all was well before leaving.)

Art helped me get the proper gas service to the building from PECO. He had the old boiler and fuel tank removed. He installed the fittings the new boiler. The whole job, though complicated went very well. Due to the age of the building some of the old piping leaked. Art came back and promptly repaired the problem

After first call and contact with Toran it took a week (literally 7 days) for them to come to my place. I had to call 3 separate times to follow up with when they were definitely coming (also so I could take time off work to be there). While on the phone, I not only discussed a small leak I was seeing on my pump, but sent photos of pump and furnace ahead of time so they had context and could be ready. On day of appointment (had to call that morning, again, to get an ETA) a serviceman from Toran came to the house to "diagnose" what I had told them my issue was. The man, though nice enough, told me (and the owner via phone) that he wouldn't service (clean) my furnace because it was on older unit (though apparently is fine working shape), and that I needed a new circ pump. He then told me I would receive a phone call from the owner in about 5 minutes with a price to replace my furnace (which again is working fine apart from needing a cleaning according to toran) as well as a price to change pump - but that I would have to schedule another appointment for them to do the work. (uhm what---- so I took off 1/2 day for someone to tell me everything I already knew and for them NOT do the work they suggest?) Needless to say it's been over 24 hours and I still haven't received a call or estimate from the owner, yet I was charge $75 for the "diagnoses" and I am at the same place I started... with a furnace that should be cleaned and pump that needs replacing. I guess my money is no good or the job is too small, I don't know, but I wasted a lot of time. On top of it, after the serviceman told me he wouldn't clean out the furnace, on the way out, the he told me he COULD come back to service (clean) the bottom of the furnace if he had the right vacuum nozzle, but would have to carve out time for that. So my question is, why couldn't he have done it then... because he didn't have the correct vacuum nozzle? I was left feeling very confused and frustrated by the whole thing... I contacted Toran because of their reputation on the angies list - Instead I feel like I was pushed aside, with no real follow up and follow through, charged $75 for someone to tell me I have to replace the pump but with zero execution plan. This is the first negative review I have posted on Angies List, but because this company wasted so much of my time I feel the need to sound off.

I give a thumbs up to Toran heating and air conditioning. They installed my central air unit expeditiously, professionally, and with a complete satisfaction to a job well done. I then recommended them to my Dad, which they installed a unit in his home as well, with the same satisfaction the job was completed. I definitely recommend them for your air conditioning and heating services.

Art and his team were great to work with. I knew I wanted this system but wanted a floor unit instead (see pic). My request confounded some companies I inquired about since this is a model that Mitsubishi makes but few people have installed. Art and his team took on the challenge and did a great job. They were also punctual and left my house clean and neat. We appreciated their work so much we hired them back when we had to replace our boiler.

The overall experience was positive with Mr. Art. He answered all my questions and returned my phone calls promptly. His workers was nice and polite. They only negative I have, there was no indication that the job was going to take two days.

Toran returned my call on the same day and promptly set up an appointment to assess the situation. He arrived on time and provided an estimate for the work. The work was completed within the specified timeframe and estimate. The crew was very professional and we couldn't be happier. We are repeat customers by the way. Highly recommend Toran!

Very well. The work was completed iin six hours. The job was so professional that I will continue to use them For my annual heating and air conditioning tune-ups.

Art was very responsive and assisted us in walking through how he would go about the installation. He was timely with his estimate and responsive and patient with our questions. We ultimately decided to go with a different contractor that was already working on other projects within the house for our own convenience.

The gentleman arrived on time. Explained the problem and total cost of the job. Started the work; cleanup after. I was very pleasure.

Art went above and beyond to locate the condenser on a roof conserving the already limited outdoor area of the lot. His men had to penetrate brick and concrete walls to run pipe and cables. The difficult work was done efficiently with minimal disruption.

Went well. The system works great and has kept us warm this winter.

They were nice, but we picked somebody else. They were fine, they were police and very honest, I guess. They explained everything really well. I just happened to go with another company because they were a little bit cheaper and they had the product that I wanted. They came on time.

I was happy with everything, I was there the whole time.

Arthur Toran was very responsive to my initial call. Our furnace is actually in the attic - not the easiest space in which to work - a conversion from an old steam boiler in the basement. But as the owner Mr. Toran fully understood the situation and could advise me based on his experience. He answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. There was certainly no high pressure sales pitch. On the day of the installation he came with the crew and was there to supervise and help with the work. So I knew the job would be done correctly. He even adjusted some duct work so that we would get better heat in our downstairs living room, something I have been unsuccessfully attempting to get other HVAC contractors to do for 10 years. The work was done on schedule in a professional and neat fashion for a fair price. We even received a $300 Angie's List discount and then a $300 PECO rebate for installing a high efficiency unit. We are very happy with the result. I do not hesitate to recommend Arthur Toran to others and would definitely use him again. Friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, no nonsense, no gimmicks.

We requested a estimate for rerunning a wire from our HVAC to our thermostat to condense two thermostats into one. No one ever replied to our inquiry. If it was too small of a job, that is fine, but it is courtesy to let me know.

Great! Art was very easy to setup the appointment with, he came out as scheduled, and did a thorough inspection as well as talking through any issues or recommendations for the system. We've been really happy with Art and the Toran Heating and A/C team for all of the jobs they've completed for us.

Art and his crew were great from start to finish. His estimate was reasonable and did not use any sales tactics. Anytime I had a question or concern, Art would address the issue immediately to make sure everything was done properly. We appreciated the professionalism, knowledge and excellent communication and would use Toran Heating again and would recommend them to others.

Toran heating and air conditioning provided me with an efficient gas boiler, electronic pilot ,vent damper and thermostat.They were prompt and professional and true to his estimate the installation took one day.

It went very well. The workers were on the job early and worked diligently throughout the day. It took a long time due to an unforeseen problem at the very end of the process. My questions were answered promptly and service calls always returned. Also the amount quoted seemed fair and was less than a prior one I had gotten. I would definitely recommend this company to others.
