Came out right away. Most informative and trusted. Most concerned about avoiding property damage from removal of extremely large tree in confined area.

I would like to keep the amount I spent confidential. Overall the job they did was excellent. They knew what they were doing and they did it on time. I was happy with the results. I will use their services again in the future.

. They are excellent. Their professionalism stands out. They are very knowledgeable and they send out soil samples to their head quarters all the time. They are little more expensive than the others but I would rather pay a little extra money to have their eyes on my property. I would continue to use their services in the future.

The estimate was provided very quickly and was very detailed. It was however a little pricy and I decided not to go with this company. I would still recommend them.

Bartlett came out the next day after calling, their estimate was the best (almost half of another company). Work was scheduled for several days later (over a weekend). Bartlett secured the permits for parking, removed the debris, and left the large stump at grade, and left the yard clean.

They were excellent when they came out to do the work. When I got the bill for the project, there was discrepancy about an amount. When I tried to call them again in the future, they were very hard to get ahold of and unresponsive. When I tried to hire them again they were not very responsive. I would not hire them again.

I liked their work and will use them again. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Their price is not too high, nor are they the cheapest. They do have certified arborist staff, who come and assess your trees. They recommend appropriate care for the tree. They work with you.

The quote went very well. The company rep made the appointment on time. I explained what was needed during a walk of the property. He gave me a written quote right on the spot. I accepted the proposal even though I thought the price was a bit high although the rep explained to me that a cherry picker might be needed since the branches on the pine trees were pretty high. The work crew was to come by some time over the next week or so. After a couple of weeks, the work had still not been performed. I was about to contact the company rep a few day later when I noticed that the work had been performed, but poorly. The cuts on the trees were quite jagged and on one tree, the workers removed the fallen branch, but did not trim the jagged trunk portion of the tree. I contacted the rep and he said the crew would return. They did a few weeks later. The work was done satisfactorily although at no time was I contacted by the company on when they would either come to do the work or that they finished the work. Months went by and I wondered if I would ever receive a bill. I finally did in October. However, there was a $5 late fee on the bill. It appears they sent a bill in August but I did not receive it. I paid the bill but subtracted the late fee.

It took about a week before the arborist could come to my house to give an estimate. When he came, he made further tree work recommendations. I accepted some of his recommendations. The work started one day later than planned due to the rainy weather. The employee who did the actual pruning made a further recommendation of cabling a tree, but could not provide a definite cost for doing so, so I did not agree to it. Overall, I am satisfied with the work done.

We have dealt with Bartlett for over 20 years. The quality of their work has always been prompt and excellent. Because of the quality of the work performed I have never looked elsewhere for tree service. I suspect that one could find a cheaper price but I doubt that there is higher quality work available.

Bartlett was working at another home in our neighborhood. I asked a worker for a business card, called Josh, and he was at our home in less than an hour. The tree was removed within the hour. We were given an excellent price- other neighbors were charged hundreds of dollars for tree/branch removal as a result of storm damage. We were very pleased!

My husband and I work at home, so we went to some trouble to arrange what we hoped would be two consecutive days that would be convenient for us and for Bartlett, when there would be no or few other cars in the driveway, clients undisturbed by noise, etc. The scheduling completely broke down and from the beginning I had to call and prompt every action: when are you going to send the proposal? have you scheduled the work? when are you coming back? The work went on (and off) for a week, and included the mistaken removal of two beautiful, healthy branches (that were not near the roof) from a specimen magnolia at the end of the driveway. By and large the work was done well and the clean-up very good. We have used Bartlett for at least twenty years, but I'm afraid they were not up to their usual standard.

We have used Bartlett for over 20 years. While others may be somewhat less expensive, the work has always been done in a most professional manner without any problems.

We've used Bartlett on an annual service contract basis for the last three years. We have about 20 mature trees of different varieties on our properly plus about 50 shrubs and plants. Bartlett has done a very good job overall. They follow an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach which means they only apply what is needed. Their hand-written reports after each service make it very clear where the problem areas were and what they did about them. They sent out a proposal evey winter for the upcoming year and they've been flexible on the number of treatments when we've had budgetary constraints. My only gripe, if you want to call it that, is that we've lost several trees and shrubs on the property which seemed to come as a surprise to them. No prior warning that some might have been in trouble. I guess you can't forsee everything. Overall, we're very pleased with Bartlett. Their service is very worthwhile given our large investment in landscaping.

IT TOOK A VERY LONG TIME FOR THEM TO RESPOND TO MY CALLS, AND THEY DID NOT ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING UNTIL MY HUSBAND CALLED. HIS NAME, DIFFERENT FROM MINE, IS THE ONE ON OUR ACCOUNT. WE ARE REPEAT CUSTOMERS, BUT I REGARD THE PRICE AS RATHER HIGH FOR WHAT WAS DONE AND HOW QUICKLY IT WAS DONE. I AM EVEN MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THIS SINCE READING THESE REVIEWS, AS OTHERS SEEM TO HAVE GOTTEN A WHOLE LOT MORE FOR THEIR MONEY.

Josh suggested a entire program of checking, maintaining, spraying, deep root watering, soil analysis to help the trees. His vast knowledge of trees and their diseases is impressive. His manner is professional and cordial. He is extremely responsive through cell or email and he will respond quickly in emergencies. My trees never looked better and I'm very happy with his knowledge and follow up.

Later I asked them for a quote on pruning about 10 shrubs: the arborist came out but never submitted a quote. So they get an F for this. So my overall rating of them is a C, the average of the F and the A-.

I live in Center City Phila so accessing the tree was not easy. John came out and did a thorough review of the tree, inspected for possible disease and also worked with me to determine the best way to remove the debris. His team was incredibly professional, courteous and ensured my patio was cleaned of all debris when the job was done. They arrived on time and with the exception of some confusion around the growth regulator, there were no issues. I probably could have gone with a less expensive service, but I was very happy with the level of service I received with Bartlett.

They do a very good job! We were nothing but satisfied when we used them. They were on time and friendly. They were extremely creative and knowledgeable as well. I was pleased overall with the service.

John Studdy went out of his way to schedule my job promptly because he knew I had to get it done quickly. Work was done as planned. Workers were very knowledgeable and nice. Clean up was fine. Previous time I used them I was also very satisfied. One thing to know about them, though, is that they are very careful not to cut off too much which might endanger the health of the tree. Maybe this is true of all good tree pruners, I don't have that much experience with them. Because of this, it is important beforehand to be sure that they will take off enough.

Company representative, a trained arborist, comes in advance to plan the work contemplated. Well able to answer questions on trees, including pathology. All Bartlett personnel were courteous and responsive to customer concerns.

Called Barlett to do some work on a large 100+ year old Hemlock and to remove a dead tree in our back yard. They explained that Mr Studdy would do a drive-by eval. I heard nothing for over a week. I called them multiple times and was assured that he would stop by. He never did. This company came highly recommended and I will never recommend them to anyone. Total waste of my time and energy.

John Studdy performed a ''drive by'' estimate of my home, however a week later and still haven't heard from them. My home has at least three trees which needed to be removed and I highly doubt a drive-by could identify which trees these were. When I called to make a normal appointment with their office, I was pretty much told that it was up to the Arborist and that the person in the office couldn't help me. I also emailed the company and received no email reply. So, I found someone else to do the work.

BARTLETT'S REPRESENTATIVES MADE SURE THAT EVERYTHING WAS DONE TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES. THE WORKERS DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF RESTORING THE BEAUTY OF THE CHURCH GROUNDS.
