Daly Termite & Pest Management

Prompt, knowledgeable, low pressure, personable. Appears to be family run. I have tried big name brand exterminators in the past who have always tried to force me into a long term contract, something which I always found kind of shady. Never an issue w/ Mr Daly. He did advise me on his last visit that we may need repeat visits to rid ourselves of our roach problem, but it was strictly FYI w/ no pressure. I highly recommend this business.

Contact was instant from first contact...especially due to the fact i contacted them just before the Christmas Holiday... The visit went really well...Mr. Daly was prompt and looked just like Santa which was awesome. He took a look at my home, basement and areas were there may be openings for creepy crawlers to enter as well as any potential creatures... he set traps and sprayed and provided some instructions and knowledge on what i need to do to keep my older home insect and creature free...i will be using their services for quarterly maintenance visits.

We've used Daly Pest for approximately five years. They have been extremely reliable, responsive, and prompt. Because my husband and I both work during the week, Daly Pest schedules their visits to our house in the early morning so as not to interfere with our work days, which is a terrific help. In the rare case in which we've had a problem in between our regular services, Daly Pest has come out immediately to address the issue at no charge. Jim and Joe not only are knowledgeable, but also courteous and friendly. We have recommended Daly Pest to friends and will continue to do so with no hesitation.

From the time that I contacted Jim through completion of work, he and his receptionist, Allison, were responsive, very nice and professional. The first appointment was an estimate and Jim was right on time; he explained to me how the squirrels were getting into my attic and made the recommendation for controlling/removing them. He explained that to do the job he needed help so he would have to schedule for the next week. Allison followed up with the time and date. Jim and his partner arrived on time. Completed the work professionally. I was surprised to see that they took the added step of placing a screen over my attic vent as the original screen was worn and useless. I really appreciate the effort and professional work.

He did an outstanding job. He came on time, listened to what my problem was, and when about his business in a professional manner. I would recommend this company.

The first service was fine, and the ant infestation was taken care of. However, two weeks later the infestation came back. I called to have them come back to work on it, and was told that it would be a week before they could get to it. While I was upset about this, I did leave my contact information for a call back. The owner of the company called me within an hour, and shifted his schedule around to accomodate me on that day. I was impressed that the owner took on the situation himself, and completed the job. The infestation was taken care of that day, and we have not had a problem since. Reason for a B on punctuality is that on the first call, the service person arrived over 30 minutes past the agreed upon time without a phone call to let us know he would be late.

Jim is a true professional. He listens, asks questions, examines the home thoroughly and is an honest, dependable man. His office returns calls in a short period of time and records the information correctly. I contacted another exterminator who never returned my call. Definitely call Jim Daly.

First of all, when I called them Marianne was super nice! She was super patient and listened to all I had to say. I don't have a major problem but I hear there are a lot of cockroaches in Philly and I just moved here from Minnesota and we didn't have any there, so I just wanted to make sure none ever get in. I did, however, notice a couple ants and some small beetles near my patio door and in my upstairs bedroom. And I also saw a centipede come out of my exposed brick wall so I knew I wanted these exterminated. Anyway, Marianne didn't have a time slot available at first until five days later but she called me back and was able to find one 48 hours later which was real great! I was super impressed that she fit me into their busy schedule. Joe came out today to spray and he was prompt and super professional. He sprayed all around the baseboards of my house and he was also nice enough to spray my exposed brick wall to keep those centipedes out. I really hate those things. I chose Daly because of their great reviews and I wanted to support local business rather than give it to big conglomerates like Orkin. Orkin's regular service is a bit cheaper but they charge a larger up front fee, but I believe in the end Daly is more reasonable and they were quite personable folks as well. They seem like they truly care and they really have a nice business going for them. Thanks Marianne and Joe!

It went very well. Mr. Daly called us right back and came to our house the next day. We were impressed with his knowledge about termites and his articulate explanation about what needed to be done to get rid of them. He and his crew came out the next week and worked for several hours. Overall it was a good experience and we would use this company again if necessary.

Clint arrived on time for a 6pm treatment (even with battling through traffic from the US Open!). After telling him the basic gist of my request for service, he went out to his truck and got his canister and began spraying the perimeter of the house, then the perimeter of each room in the house and the backyard. We were having a problem with an unknown insect inhabiting the window of our guest bedroom, and Clint got out his can of bug spray and went to town on the little pests, and then cleaned up their nasty little carcasses. All the while Clint was professional, friendly, and overall a really nice guy. After the treatment, he explained to me what the chemicals were the he used, what they kill, and even gave me some background on when and why certain bugs show up. Overall, I would highly recommend Daly to anyone looking for a local exterminator. I will definitely keep them on hand for future needs!

The contractor was an employee of the company, very professional. He treated numerous areas and was very thorough. It solved our problem and I've not seen any ants return.

We contacted this company via email and they called promptly. When they came to inspect, they spoke with us and told us that what we had done already was fine. They told us what to expect and that our problem was weather related. Although they did not perform any service, only inspected and spoke with us, we will surely use them in the future if needed. It was obvious they were not out to take money needlessly. They are a family owned company and we were very pleased.

Went great, great communicator, no pressure to buy other services. Very much appreciated the very rapid service (36 hours after first contact.)

From calls to the office, which are always answered quickly and helpfully, to the actual service... expert, timely, and respectful. Daly Termite & Pest Management is great. We made a local move this last year from living in an open country meadow setting to a wooded lot on the French Creek. We quickly realized that we needed advice on pest control, and my husband found Daly's on Angie's List (all A's). Jim Daly came out and form the start was not only on time, but incredibly knowledgable about the local issues we had and also respectful of our concern for protecting the environment. He has investigated and eradicated everything from mysterious holes in the ground to disturbing sounds in the attic. In the process of renovations, yesterday our contractor found Carpenter Ants at the back of our garage. Although Jim was already booked solid with the Memoiral Day weekend ahead... he had someone out first thing this morning and the problem was solved, so renovations could resume. I can't over state how helpful, and equally important how very pleasant everyone associated with Daly's is!

He showed up right on time. He was professional. Got right to work. Saw some other issues and took care of them. Excellent experience.

It went well enough. The mouse issue went away for several seeks, but came back. Happily though the provider will come back for free within a specified period of time (which they did) if pests persist.

After finding some termites in the back yard, I was concerned about possible infestation and called for an estimate for treatment. Joe Daly checked out the area and a specimen, and then checked out the basement. The good news: Joe said we did not need immediate treatment! He explained how the course of an infestation works and advised that it wouldn't reach the house for at least several years, if ever. How honest! Another company had tried to push a contract for very expensive "preventive treatment," but we'd rather not be spending money -- or pumping pesticide under the patio -- if there's nothing there to kill. We do plan on calling Daly next year for monitoring and perhaps for an extended monitoring contract. The price for that is very reasonable, and it's clear that they are reputable and knowledgeable.

After reading excellent reviews of this company and spending some time researching other companies, I decided to go with Daly Pest Management for the treatment of my home. The staff called me immediately after sending an inquiry through Angies List. They were very accommodating to my schedule. The person on the phone took the time to answer any questions that I had regarding extermination. The price was by far the best of all companies I researched. Daly is affordable and seems to be family run so you feel like you are getting excellent service from people you can trust vs. the large name companies. The owners nephew was the person who serviced my home. He was extremely friendly and took the time to answer my questions. Overall this experience was great and we will definitely be using them again in the future.

We used Daly previously in the fall and called them for a quick Spring inspection and ant/stinkbug control. Scheduling was easy and the staff were very responsive. The exterminator was prompt and was very informative (stinkbugs will have to wait until fall for their turn). They found and removed the mice in the attic and pointed out an entry point for hornets that needed to be addressed. We haven't since ants in the house sionce they sprayed. Overall, a worthwhile experience.

Great guy, explains everything clearly, doesn't pressure you to do anything you don't need, and the price was quite reasonable. Jim Daly responded to our phone call promptly and we made an appointment for several days later. He showed up on time, a little early even, for the appointment. He was very pleasant, professional, and easy to talk to, and explained that the best method for removing golden rain tree bugs (jadera haematoloma, or red-shouldered bug, a relative of the box elder) was to treat the tree itself, and that it was important to treat as soon as we saw nymphs. Since the tree belongs to our neighbor, not us, we said we'd confer with them and asked him to spray our yard in the meantime because we had already seen some adult bugs as the weather was warming up. The treatment kills various other bugs as well, and we saw a few dead "water bugs" (which we knew were lurking in the backyard too) in the days following and haven't seen a single red-shouldered bug at all. It's like they were never there. Then the neighbor had to chop the tree down so we may not have a problem at all now, but I would absolutely call Jim Daly if we had any further pest issues.

Jim Daly showed up on time and did a great job. Setting up the appointment was easy and they called the day before to confirm. His schedule was flexible which I appreciated as I have a long commute to work. He was at my house at 7AM which worked great. He did a thorough inspection of my house and searched for termite activity and other insect damage. It had been 10 years since I had treated my house and he educated me on how often I should have the house treated (every 10 years or so if there is activity) and what to look for as well as potential problem areas. He didn't find any termite activity so he suggested that I schedule another inspection in 2-3 years. I'll definitely use Jim Daly next time, too.

Jim came to inspect the basement, explained the situation and the planned treatment and provided a quote. His explanatin and plan of attack made sense to us and the quote was reasonable. When the weather was appropriate to do the soil treatment, an appointment was made and his office called the utility service to mark the underground utiliy lines. He and his crew came in time, they were patient to answer all my questions, and they did a great job (moved heavy furniture in the garage, cleaned up everything), and provided a warranty agreement for one year. The cost wasexactly as estimated.

Was prompt and showed up when was supposed to show up. Preformed the service as described at the arranged price. Was friendly and even gave advice on was to improve the effectiveness of service. Would definitely use again.

Mr. Daly and his employees are curteous, professional, and a pleasure with which to do business. Daly also provided the lowest quote and worked with me based on my future plans. He was patient answering my questions and addressing my concerns including when I called him after the treatment. Great family run business- I even received a holiday card!
