+ -1 moreThe woman who answered the phone when I called made a good effort to arrange to get a worker to my house as soon as possible. He arrived at our house earlier than he had said and spent adequate time with me. The animal had died so he did not have much that he needed to do. He adjusted the price accordingly since he did not have to trap a live animal. It was very reassuring to have him come out even though the animal was dead. He also inspected our chimney and told me that it was unlikely that this would happen again.
Description of Work: There was a live animal behind my fireplace doors.

We've used Daly Termite & Pest for several years now and try to call them at the beginning of Spring and Fall to maintain a bug free home.

+ -1 moreOur home termite inspector had recommended an expensive preventative treatment for termites, and noted the existence of evidence of past termite activity. The team at Daly came out, thoroughly inspected the house and let us know that no treatment was needed. They didn't charge for the inspection though we would have been happy to pay. Every aspect of my interaction with them was marked by honesty, courtesy and friendliness. They have a customer for life in me (though I hope I don't need them).

+ 0 moreAfter initially leaving a vm message to make an appointment, they called me back in a timely manner and I was able to make a next day appointment for problems in two rental properties. I got a call that the contractor was running a little late and he gave me a new ETA, which was accurate. He was professional, took his time to think about a best solution to both problems, was very thorough, explained what he was doing and why and gave me confidence that he would take care of the problems. Since there was no evidence of bees/wasps at the one house, he did not charge me, but said to call him and he would come back if/when the tenants noticed more bees/wasps inside the house.
Description of Work: Removed the remnants of a nest created by a squirrel in an air conditioner venting tube, attached a metal screen over the two holes that tubes attach to via the window to prevent a repeat of the problem (originally the a/cunit came with plastic screens that the squirrel chewed through). Also went through every single room in a house and searched the perimeter outside as well for evidence of bees/wasps that tenants in a rental property said they found flying around inside. Did not find active evidence of any flying insects, but will return if more seen by tenants. However, while there, noticed droppings,.. indicative of mice in the mudroom so put down a few glue traps for that problem. He chose that kind of trap to prevent any problems as young children live in the house.

+ 0 moreGreat! I caught the mouse that was living as our roommate about 1 week later. He was under the stove in 1 of the 2 traps Jim left.
Description of Work: Jim came over, explored the house to see where mouse droppings were/any entry points for mice. He then placed traps/poison in the basement and on the first floor of my house, anywhere that a mouse could possibly go. Finally, he walked me through the house to show me where the traps were. He was very kind, professional, and made sure he did everything pet-friendly for my large dog.

Advised that tenants should not leave open trash and open food around that attracted the rats. Advised home fixes to help deter. Placed snap traps and poison bait traps at points where looked like rats had been. Very cautious of not placing anything harmful near pets. Traps successfully caught a number of the pests. Jim came out two weeks early at no charge to follow-up. Very professional and very gracious. We were very happy with his work.

+ -1 moreThey were prompt, courteous and professional. Called to say they were running ahead of schedule and offered to wait if that was a problem. They found and treated and a third paper wasp nest we didn't know was there and didn't charge anything extra. Their rate was only a slightly higher than another company that refused to deal with the nest above the ground, saying the spot was difficult to reach and suggested we hope they all die in the winter. Definitely would call the again and recommend to any one with a hornet/wasp problem.
Description of Work: Delt with two hornets nests, one in the ground and one on the eve of the second floor about 30 feet above the ground, a spot that another exterminator thought was difficult to reach. They found and treated and a third paper wasp nest we didn't even know was there.

+ 0 moreJoe Daly came out to fix the problem. Was extremely professional and courteous. Was on time. He was the fourth exterminator to come out and try. Saw where I had set traps in the past. Made an assessment of my situation and found holes outside where I need to have a mason come and close. Told me I had set traps in the correct spots. Gave me advise on where to set more in the basement. He didn't charge me anything for the consultation telling me that without closing the outside first it wouldn't make sense to spend money setting up traps. Very thorough and professional. Moving forward he will be my exterminator if I ever need one in the future. Very trust worthy.

+ 0 moreI must first start by saying the service provided by Jim was nothing less than exceptional. He is extremely cordial, honest and I would highly recommend him above his competition. I had the unfortunate situation of squirrels nesting in the roof of my home. Jim came out to my residence within a couple days of scheduling an appointment and was able to identify the access point to which the squirrels were entering. Right on the spot, he took care of the problem by sealing the entry point with heavy duty mesh wire. He also offered to return to my home if there were any signs of the squirrels returning. I can't thank him enough for his help in addressing the problem and quoting an extremely reasonable price for his services. A++++

They installed an exit only door on the largest of the holes and used wire mesh to cover the 2 smaller holes. They were so polite and the job was done in 45 minutes. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great service and professional treatment!
Description of Work: I have squirrels getting into the house between the roof and ceiling. They were getting in, in three separate areas. I was very concerned that they might actually get into the bedrooms. I called and made an appointment for a free estimate, the estimate was very reasonable so I scheduled a date for service.
