Daly Termite & Pest Management

Description of Work: Hired Jim Daly for general pest control. They were prompt and very nice in trying to schedule an appt for us. We hired them to be spray seasonally to avoid any critters and once hired, they found a wasp nest under the deck and inspected the whole house. I am happy we hired them for routine service.

Description of Work: The owner called back with in the hour and set up an appointment. When he arrived (on time) I explained the evidence of mice we had seen in my new home. He set up 4 traps and several small bags of poisonous pellets and said that he would return anytime within the next 30 days if we had need for more traps etc. He also toured the property and pointed out holes that needed to be patched both inside and out (very small I might add) to prevent them from entering. I called him about 10 days later after we found 3 mice in the traps and he came back out and put down more material at no charge, as he had said. We have had no evidence of the little creatures since then though I would not hesitate to call him if we did.

Description of Work: This service was for a rental unit I own. We have had issues in the past with mice. This was the first visit and it is too soon to tell how well it has worked. I will post again in about 2 weeks. By then, I can speak to my tenant to see if it made a difference. Looking good so far.

Description of Work: Surveyed, set traps, and sprayed, etc. but they also came out for a follow-up visit that was slightly more than 30 days and still applied the 30 day guarantee so it didn't cost me anything. practical and appreciated.

Description of Work: I thought I had a squirrel in my attic, so I contacted Jim Daly. I left a message, and his assistant promptly returned my call. We scheduled an appointment that was convenient for me. Jim arrived a few minutes early which was great. He inspected my attic and the exterior of my home and told me there is no evidence of a squirrel but that I have mice. He quoted me a price to set some traps and apply poison, but I decided I could do that myself. He gave me some good instruction on what type of traps to use, where to put them, and how to bait them. I was going to pay him for the service call, but he said that since I am a member of Angie's List he wouldn't charge me for the visit. So, I'm endorsing Jim for the great customer service I received.

Description of Work: Called and called and left voicemail after voicemail. Never once spoke to a live person however did recieve a voicemail and immediately called back only to leave another message. I have no idea how this company has such great reviews. Starting to doubt this website.

Description of Work: Treatment for carpenter ants. Gave a detailed explanation of how he was going to treat the area and completed the job within an hour. I also appreciated a phone calling letting me know that he was running late.

Description of Work: Jim Daly is one of the nicest contractors/home service professionals I have met. I thought I had a woodworm problem in my floors and he came out and informed me that I did not. He even took the time to show me a guidebook so that I could see more information about woodworms. He could have easily said I had a problem, I would have believed him and he would have made a profit. I appreciate his honesty and I will absolutely use him should I ever have a pest problem. Very kind, professional and punctual. Hire Jim Daly for your pest control needs!!! We need more people like him in the home repair business.

Description of Work: He came on time and tech examined in detail my basement to make sure there were no termites or other critters hanging around. Also took his time answering my many questions about termites. In and out in half an hour and happily he reported no termites.

Description of Work: Suspected that I may have termites. Mr. Daly promptly came out and did an inspection. He happily went down into the crawl space under the house. (No other pest control person ever did that for me). He was not able to complete the inspection in the crawl space as he alerted me to an unknown leak of a major pipe. Once I had that repaired, Mr. Daly came back at no additional expense to me to complete his inspection. I appreciated that he went into the crawl space and discovered that leak.

Description of Work: We had an infestation of powder post beetles in an old piece of furniture. Mr. Daly said the fumigation cost to us would be expensive and toxic. He suggested an alternative, placing the piece in a deep freezer for a week or so to try to freeze them out. He said he'd ask around to find a place with a large freezer and then he'd get back to us, but he never did.

Description of Work: I suspected termites. They came in and confirmed my suspicion. They described the situation regarding my grounds and foundation and made an estimate. They returned on time and seemed to do a good job. Remember, the solution only keeps for 10 years, per EPA regulations.

Description of Work: I called Mr. Daly early one morning. Although I had already found another company (through Angie's List) when he called me back 45 minutes later, he was extremely pleasant & returned my call promptly.
