Daly Termite & Pest Management

We had a very large hornet's nest under a third-floor dormer eave that we needed to have removed so that we could get some exterior house painting done. Normally, my husband might try to remove it himself except that this one was so high up that it would require either being on top of a very long ladder (hard to escape from the hornets if something went wrong!) or trying to get it from our daughter's window (risking that angry hornets would come into the house during the process). I called several companies, most of which said they didn't do ladder work or charged way too much for ladder work. Thank goodness I found Daly Termite & Pest Management! They were easy to communicate with (and schedule quickly) via the Angie's List website, came right on time, did the work quickly and efficiently, and were extremely pleasant and professional to deal with from beginning to end. It's a relief to get rid of the hornet nest, and a pleasure to find a reliable, reasonably priced, friendly local company. I highly recommend them!

These are the kind of people you want to do business with. Jim recently treated my deck for carpenter bees and did a full inspection of the surrounding fence. When he found out that I planned to sell the house, he more than doubled the length of his guarantee, and offered to extend it to the new homeowners in the event of a sale. When I did not phone back for my follow-up inspection, Allison was kind enough to leave a couple of messages for me even going past the date of my guarantee! These are nice people who know what they are doing.

Came out and performed a thorough pest inspection. Only company that did not try to sell a service or maintenance plan to me. Very impressed. Gave me detailed information and suggestions.

He's a very nice guy. Help me to spray the whole house and will spray every quarter. I told him I saw a mouse outside the house. He left some mouse poison in case it comes into my backyard.

I called on Monday afternoon and Jim came Wednesday morning a 7:10 am on time. He examined the are and found no problems. He was correct and friendly and did not charge as there was nothing to take care. He is the owner and comes to all works so you are sure who is coming and taking care of the work. If I have any pest problems in the future will contact him.

Daly took care of the problem with no fuss. They wore little booties in side the house. Told us what they found. They charged us what they quoted which felt fair (it took about 1 hr for 2 guys). If the wasps aren't completely gone they insisted we call back and they will return. I don't think that will be needed but I believe they will come back if necessary. At no point did they try to suggest or sell any other services.

Just one person came out both times, taking just about thirty minutes. The nests were gone when they said they were, he got it right the first time. They were very conscious of our need for the nests removal, they were prompt, coming out just a few days after we called them. they have a guarantee stating that if they didn't do it right the first time they would come back for free.

We got a lot of quotes from other people and his price was just unbelievable. It was almost too good to be true. It turned out that he was excellent! The price and service was so great. I would definitely use him again and I have recommended him to others!

He was the nicest guy and he came on a very timely manner. He did more than what I expected him to do, but I don't think we paid more because of that. He was just thorough and I felt he went above and beyond. I also got a 10% discount because of Angie's List.

I hired Daly, because other exterminators failed to kill the roaches and remove the squirrels for a rental property. One advantage to Daly is that they are licensed to handle both bugs and squirrels. The roach treatments are $75 for the entire 3000 sf building, including the basement. To handle squirrels, they installed a wire cage called a "one way door" over the visible holes. Squirrels in the building can get out through the one way door, but not back into the house (cost $240). The exterminators at Daly take the time to explain everything that they do. They are happy to set up a monthly recurring schedule, but it is not required. I appreciate their low pressure, down to earth approach. On the basis of my positive squirrel and roach experience, I have hired them to take care of carpenter bees at another location. Highly recommended.

Jim was punctual and very pleasant. It was very refreshing to have Jim come into my house to perform a service and I not feel as if I was being taken advantage of. In the past, I have had the same areas treated by a well-known company and paid twice as much. So, thank you, Jim!

He was punctual and thorough for a good price. About all you can ask for!

The owner is easy to talk to. He is very punctual. He is always on time. He would tell you step by step where he is going and he will walk around the house to tell you different spots that these bugs may be or mites will be. He is a very nice guy. I always say you come several times. I have these two different properties in our home with bug problems. So, I always use him. He knows me now. It went well.

They did a very good job. Responsive, punctual and professional. This is a good company and I will use them again.

I will DEFINATELY use them when I need to do my Termite service!!

Joe was exceptional: punctual and very courteous. He located the problem areas and serviced our home.

Daly Termite was fantastic. I called them and they were able to come out the next morning! The receptionist was friendly. The man who came was very professional and friendly as well. He was prompt and immediately got to work checking my basement for termites. He didn't find any termites, just some old, already-repaired termite damage. I asked him if I needed to have him spray for anything, and he very honestly told me no, that I didn't need anything done at the time. Sometimes I feel like these types of home repair/services companies try to take advantage of homeowners who don't know much about repairs/costs, etc, but Daly Termite was just wonderful. I will definitely call them again in the future if I ever need any termite/pest control.

Upon calling the company Alison (reception -- hope name is correct) was very personable and was able to get us on the schedule right away and tell me who my technician would be. She quoted me a price that was almost 1/2 of another quote (gave a range within $30 of low/high (not including tax). Technician (Joe) arrived timely. In providing my observations for the type of ants he looked for traces in the areas. It was indicated that it could be 1 of 2 types (carpenter or pavement ants). In further discussion he wasn't certain so in addition to exterminating the entire house (indoor/outdoor perimeter) he treated the garage door wood frames. There was a lot going on when Joe arrived. After the initial conversation and survey of the house, I felt comfortable allowing him to go around and treat the house on his own; versus my typical nature to follow and ensure. Since there wasn't any "active" activity while he was here, it was difficult to determine the type of ants. The company provides a 30 day guarantee. He advised of things to be on the look out for in the next 2 weeks. Also asked that we give 1-2 weeks for there to be no signs. The cost for the entire house was as quoted.

Excellent. I found Daly Pest and Termite through Angie's list. Finding Jim and his company was worth many year's of subscription service. His service is excellent. He is truly committed to customer service and goes above and beyond to help people. Jim is old school in being truly committed to excellent customer service and customer satisfaction. You are not a number or just another client - he treats you like you are truly valued and he goes above and beyond in superior service at reasonable rates.

I felt comfortable enough with then to give them a key so they could keep coming to check on throngs any remove any squirrels. Daly kept returning until all 5 were gone. He was very easy to work with, honest, polite and fair. I would highly recommend them and absolutely hire them again.

the owner's son arrived promptly and punctually the next day, was honest about what he could provide and what there were no guarantees for, and came with the sprays -- he was done in about twenty minutes, and, best of all, did not lock us into an annual contract. I would recommend him without any hesitation!!
