Responsive. Performed maintainance on the two other garage doors. Fair price. Would use again. Used a different company by coupon from Angie's list this past fall and was not a good experience. David Giel though was excellent.

I called at 8:00 a.m on the 4th and told the woman who answered that I needed a new garage door opener. She asked a few questions and told me it might just be the main gear. Dave called and said he would be at the house at 4:15. By 5:00 my opener was working , it was the main gear. I was very pleased with the whole experience. They could very well have sold me what I told them I needed but they repaired the problem and the part has a 3 yeasr warrenty.

Our ancient garage door opener was on it's last legs and just stopped working. David was courteous and was able to schedule a day and time to come out. In the appointment he was able to install a new opener in just a couple hours, giving me a two new remotes, an external key pad, and motion safety sensors! Highly recommended. No non-sense and professional.

After our automatic garage door broke in the dead of winter, we checked Angie's list and called David Giel Garage Doors. He arrived on time and fixed the door in less than an hour. He also charged us the same amount as he quoted us over the phone; no hidden costs or extra charges. We were happy to have our garage door repaired correctly and quickly!

Ker-blang...my son and I thought something had hit the garage door from the outside so we went outside to investigate. We found nothing. So, we went into the garage and again there was nothing that had hit the garage door. Then I remembered a previous experience from before the doors were replaced about 7 years ago and I looked at the torsion springs. Sue enough, broken spring. New torsion springs are tough to get for a DIY job, so I went straight to Angie's List since the sticker from the door installer was long gone. I did not find anyone who was actually available at 8pm, so I figured I would get some estimates in the morning and get the work done the following day when I would be available. The estimates for the part with installation varied from $220 to David's estimate of $125. However, David could not come the next day. Just when I was resigned to move to the $145 next estimate, David's daughter asked if I would be there long enough for him to do the job right away. I said OK and went upstairs to get ready to go to work. When I got back downstairs, my son had already let Dave in and he was just finishing up the job. He tested the door and then gave me a few maintenance tip as he lubricated all of the rollers. I paid him and was on my way only about 1/2 hour late. I plan to talk to David first the next time I need garage door work.

I had problems opening and closing garage door plus the remote was no longer working. Since the opener is about 25 years old,I was expecting that a whole new unit would be necessary. But David was honest and said all it needed was some minor adjustment and a new sensor. He said the motor was powerful and still in good operating condition.

Called Dave on a Saturday morning and left message requesting price to replace a garage door opener. Dave returned call later same day. He provided price for Liftmaster to match same opener model he installed for me 2 years earlier on my other garage door. I agreed to price and scheduled to have it installed early the next week on Tue or Wed. Dave called me Tuesday and advised me he could install the opener that afternoon and we agreed on a time because I had to leave work early to meet him at my house. Dave and his helper came and installed the opener in about 1 hour and programmed remotes for both doors since the opener model brand was now the same for both doors. Dave previously also installed two new garage doors and springs for me about 3 years earlier.

The company was very responsive to us. They fit us into their schedule as quickly as possible, and came out and replaced our garage door opener.

Wonderful, professional on time service. Would recommend this company . This company is deserving of its "A" rating.

When Dave came for the estimate, he explained in detail what he planned to do. As he was explaining things, he noticed that a cable was off a roller, causing some loud noises as the garage door goes up and down. He fixed that on the spot (no charge), and gave us an estimate before leaving, including a few options (windows, garage opener type). There was no pressure at all to make a decision that day. After receiving some other estimates, we found David to be competitively priced and offered the best service. I decided to go to their shop to see the two garage door openers we were discussing, and Joyce in the office was very helpful and knowledgeable. We scheduled an installation date for about a month later with no deposit required. On installation day, they showed up promptly, did excellent work, and there were no surprises (which is a good thing). There is also a 4 year service warranty included in the price, although we haven't had to use it yet. I very highly recommend David P. Giel Garage Doors, LLC.

Upon my request, an estimate is arranged very soon and even price range is give over phone. Very professional. However, another company showed up earlier than I thought for estimate and the work is then given to the other company. I will use this company for sure in the future, if I need garage work again.

Note: The date of service and price that I paid are approximate. Initailly I thought that my remote transmitter for my electric garage door opener was bad. After purchasing another, but finding that the garage door still did not work, I called Dave becuse of positive reviews on Angies List. Dave responded promptly to my call for service, and arrived on time as scheduled. He came to the rescue and was great at diagnosing the problem. It was a bad receiver. He had one on his truck, and replaced it very efficiently, and reprogrammed my remotes to connect to the new receiver. Additionally, Dave saw that one side of my garage door was not running inside the track. He readjusted a track that was bent, and the door went went right into place! He also sprayed a lubricant on the tracks. (No wonder it was so loud when it opened and closed. -- Now it purrs like a kitten!) Dave is personable, knows his trade well, and provides excellent service for a very appropriate price. Would definitely use his services again, and highly recommend him to other Angies List members.

We called Dave Giehl based on a recommendation from a family member. I called and left a message. I received a call back within an hour and set an appointment for the next week. We had a conflict and the person in Dave's office was able to reschedule our consultation without any problem. Dave was right on time for our consultation. He provided his recommended approach and was very truthful in advising us on which types of doors to get. My husband trusted Dave right away. We discussed the price and the process and called Dave and left a message that evening. Dave returned our call the next morning and ordered our doors. The doors came in a week or two later and Dave's office called us to set an appointment for the installation. The installers arrived right on time and got to work. The previous homeowner hadn't installed one of the openers so our installer recommended installing an additional outlet. He could have just installed the new opener using the same approach as the previous homeowner, instead he advised me of the proper installation. Everything was installed beautifully! The installers then showed us how everything worked and helped us set the different codes we needed for the key pad. And they left our garage spotless. It was even cleaner than when they got there. They were friendly and I felt very comfortable having them working at my house.

I've used him for a few different things. He does a great job. He always does what I ask him and his prices are really fair. I never have any problems with him.

Contacted by phone and made an appointment for the next day. Showed up on time and repaired the garage door opener in about 20 minutes. They had a gear with them. They also inspected the doors and did some general garage door maintenance(tighening bolts, lubricating, etc.). Very good experience.

We've had some great experience with him. We have three garages and three garage door openers. We called on him to do certain specific things and when he was on the process, he gave us the price for it. When he got out here he found a couple of other small things that needed attention and he did all that as well.

He did a great job -- we've had no problems with the door since the repair, which was more than a month ago. He gave us warranties for parts and service. This was so much more economical than purchasing a new door. We really appreciated his work and would definitely hire him again.

Dave had come by previously to fix a broken spring and provided me the quote on my request. They were on time for the appointment, performed the work quickly, and put up with a very inquisitive todler who NEEDED to see what they were up to. Overall a painless experience. Will definitly use them again.

He was very nice and not overly priced. I had called other companies and they told me they would charge $100 just to come out to take a look at it even if they couldn't fix it. He charged me $69 to come out and fix the problem.

He delivered what he promised and the price. I chose him because other people had used him in the association.

My garage door opener, which is quite old, needs to have its light socket replaced. They tried to find a socket for my opener, but found that it was no longer available.

Everything went very well. Mr. Giel is a genuinely good person who offers excellent service, expertise and prices. I would recommend his company to anyone! :)
