Flawlessly. Professional, efficient & friendly. Doesn't get any better. Also looked at other opener, & we decided it wouldn't need replacing in spite of having to stop manually. Returned my call in the late afternoon, came the next day & finished quickly.

Called the office to get an estimate and the woman was very pleasant and helpful (unlike the other Giel we contacted). She put us on the schedule immediately. Dave arrived when scheduled and was very nice to work with and very efficient. He even swept my garage floor before he left! He explained everything about what he had done and answered questions. Fantastic service and would most definitely recommend to everyone!

Dave was very friendly. Knew exactly what was wrong with our garage door. He had the parts to repair it.

I originally purchased my insulated garage door from David P Giel Garage Doors many years ago, had them install it along with a new opener and was happy with the price, service and quality. Unfortunately the door panels sustained damage and now that I'm selling the property, the damage was very noticeable and not making a good impression on potential buyers. I contacted Joyce at David P Giel Garage Doors, who pulled up my original order (from 9 years ago!), provided a quote then ordered the replacement panels promptly. When I called to check on the order a week later and explained I had an open house scheduled for the upcoming Sunday, Joyce personally drove to pick up the panels and ensured Dave could install them Saturday morning. I was thrilled. I met Dave at the property, but I had to leave to pick up some supplies. When I returned about an hour later, he had the new panels installed, complete with nice, new sealant. It looked beautiful. But he didn't stop there. He also identified a broken bracket on the inside, which he replaced. He also discovered the (somewhat) decorative handle on the front of the door was cracked on the inside and recommended a different solution which gave the exterior of the garage a cleaner look. We put the garage door down and it looked beautiful! But that's not all - Dave also noticed the keypad for the opener was missing the battery cover, so he provided a new one because he was concerned this may distract a potential buyer. He also noticed the safety "eye" was missing a screw which holds it in the correct location at the bottom of the doorway. He replaced this, as well as one of the light bulbs in the opener which I hadn't noticed was out. And lastly, he showed me how to reset the code on the garage door and did it for me. All these extras were at no extra charge - they just go above and beyond on every job! I highly recommend them for all your garage door needs! You will not be disappointed!

The workers were very professional and cleaned up after themselves very well. The new doors look great and are much quieter than our previous doors. We would hire them again for sure!

I would HIGHLY recommend Dave to anyone that needed garage door service. He was punctual courteous and a pleasure doing business with. I had Dave come out because my cables were all frayed and? my springs were over 16 years old. I also had issues with the garage door stopping midway through closing. He fixed all the issues I had, lubricated the entire garage door and checked over the door to make sure there were no other issues. he answered every question I had an even explained to me how I could go about cleaning and painting the garage door to make it look new. As a bonus he even threw in an extra garage door opener that he had lying around, I couldn't ask for anything more and all for more than a fair price. if I ever need service in the future I will definitely call Dave!

Called early on a Tuesday morning & explained my circumstances. I was told I'd get a call-back later in the day after schedules became clearer. I had expressed a preference for same or next-day service as I was going to leave the area in a few days. Just as promised, I did receive a call & was told to expect service the following day. Furthermore, I was told that the technician would call me upon leaving the previous job site & would provide an estimated ETA. The next day, earlier than estimated, I received the call from the technician who was on-the-way. The only way to raise the door was from inside the garage so I needed that corrected. The technician noticed that the antenna had been clipped, so he lengthened it & also changed the batteries in the remote transponders + the exterior keypad. He also allowed me to re-program the keypad code. Additionally, he gave it a general lubrication service & pointed out that the side mouldings ought to be replaced. Finally, he showed me what to do in the event of a power outage if I have to manually lift the door as this is the first time I've ever had a garage & garage door for my car. Should my garage door have further problems, this will be the company I will summon.

He knows his business, does great work and he's very helpful with little things like the light bulb. He put the garage door in for us last October and he just came today to fix that bulb.

They were absolutely excellent. I would definitely use them again.

When we moved into 55 year old house in 2009, I wanted our garage doors checked for operation and safety. I called several garage door companies to get an estimate. My intention was to do some research before contracting one of the companies. Mr. Giel just "dropped by" - no appointment or notice that he was coming. I knew nothing about garage doors. Mr. Giel said that would would check the doors for proper operation, install safety wires and lubricate them for $80. it sounded like a a lot service for $80 but when he finished everything in about five minutes, I felt like a fool. I will never use him for anything. If you know about these things, as I do now, you know that the safety wires cost about $15 and are as simple to install as tying your shoe. Lubrication is about spraying WD40 or such on all the moving parts and checking operation means opening and closing the doors. My opinion is that Mr. Giel stopped by as he does knowing he would likely catch an ignorant consumer for a fast $80.

David Giel was very professional and friendly. I called on Sunday and he came on Tuesday. He called me 30 minutes ahead of time to give me time to leave work and meet him at the house and was there when I arrived. He replaced it in less than 20 minutes. The opener is more than 10 years old, so I expected to be sold a new one, but that was not the case. He oiled everything so it operates much more quietly.He noticed a hanging wire and tacked it up. For ten years I had been living with the previous owner's keypad code, and he showed me how to change it. Garage door fixes always seem expensive, but I was very pleased with the result and what I felt was honesty in not trying to sell me something I didn't need. I would use him again.

David Giels crew arrived as promised on time on a Saturday morning as my wife & I both work. The crew consisted of Steve, and Ken (the older guys who have worked for Dave for some time), and Tyler, a younger guy who set up shop for the task at hand. The crew worked like a well oiled machine. I had to move an electrical box in the garage ceiling in one of the two garage bays that was going to be covered up by the new garage door opener. As I worked on this, the guys worked outside getting the new door sections ready while I finished my job. Ken did the replacement of my shed garage door panels ( with Tylers' help as needed ), then joined Steve & Tyler on the House garage doors. It was obvious to me that these guys could handle any challenges they might encounter as our house provided a few. They removed wood that would become problematic for the new garage door trim, and chiseled out concrete that would prevent a good fit and seal for the doors. Before loading the old doors to haul away for us, they asked us if we wanted anything from the removal. I kept 4 large eye hooks that the old safety cables attached to. The new doors have a torsion spring that replaced the old springs requiring the safety cables. The crew was here less than six hours and did an excellent job. They explained the programming of the openers and operation of the doors after a thorough cleaning of the jobsite. My wife Jeanie and I are thrilled with our new garage doors and openers ! Thanks to David Giel for his initial visit and estimate. He listened to what we wanted and made recommendations based on his expertise in his line of work. He didn't try to sell us any extras and was as easy to work with. His no pressure sales approach sold us immediately and we didn't hesitate to give him the job. ( David was our only estimate ! ) The office personnel were also top notch. I called once with a question before they were open, and got a return call as soon as they got in. When we call the office, we weren't sure when a service man would arrive, because at the time we called the service men were all out on calls. Shortly after, we were called to say that someone would be at our house soon, and he was. Very nice man, and very professional.
