+ -1 moreMatt arrived on time....was pleasant. I explained the problem. We discussed all the possibilities, (repair vs new). We then discussed the range of estimates, I was satisfied with all discussions and estimates. Matt then asked if he could bring his brother into the house, as he was training him in the business. I appreciated his honesty.....he could have just brought him in when he arrived, and I would not have known the difference. He went right to work, explaining what he was doing so his brother could learn. The O rings were replaced, the faucet was put back together. The faucet worked, but the handle still seeped a little. Matt was not satisfied, so he excused himself and made a trip to the hardware store. He returned in a few minutes....cleaned out the base....placed the new rings.....put everything back together, and tested the faucet. Success! I am extremely impressed with Matt. I could not have been more satisfied with anyone else!! I would NOT hesitate to call him again ANY time I need a Plumber!!!! If anyone ever asks if I know a good plumber, my answer will be "no, I know a GREAT plumber!!!!!"

+ -1 moreHe was very good. He did a wonderful job. They were reasonable to me. He was so nice, polite and gracious. He came out to look at it and that was no charge. He came over in the evening when that was convenient to me because I got home from work. He was wonderful. In the summer he had fixed a toilet for me. I totally recommend him. When anyone asked about the plumbing service, I would tell everyone he was good.
Description of Work: I used Robinson Plumbing Services to install a pipe through the ceiling of my basement and to the back.

+ -1 moreWe found a small leak in our basement but we couldn't determine the source of the problem. I called them and they came within a few hours to provide an estimate. Once we agreed to the work they came back a few hours later. They were very prompt and very professional. They found and repaired the leak very quickly. It was a slow leak coming from a bad pipe almost 2 stories up. They said since they were 'chasing the leak' they would have to make some holes to try and find the source. They found it quickly and only had to make two holes in my walls before they located the bad pipe. The problem was a bad joint behind some crown molding and they worked around the molding without cutting through it. The price seemed high but I didn't shop around so I have no idea if their rates were competitive. I liked the employees I spoke to and they came recommended. I was happy they found the leak so quickly with minimal damage to my walls. They provided a name of someone who could patch the drywall but we decided to go with a contractor friend we used in the past instead.

+ 0 moreMy water heater was leaking so I went on Angie's list to look for a plumber. I had seen Matt's truck in my neighborhood. Being able to check Robinson Plumbing's reputation was very helpful. I liked what I read in the reviews so I decided to try Matt. He was professional and easy to talk to. He was able to replace my water heater that same day. He and another worker were efficient, pleasant, and very neat.

+ -1 moreThis was the second time we've used Robinson plumbing. They are not the cheapest plumbers in the area, but they always are prompt, courteous and professional, and they get the job done right. This time I had two small jobs -- replacing a cartridge in a shower and replacing an old galvanized faucet in a bathtub. The plumber replaced the cartridge, but also noticed that the shower had the wrong knob. Before proceeding, he let me know the issue and presented me with options. Also, because our house is about 50 years old and removing the galvanized faucet from the bathtub was risky, the plumber explained the situation before beginning any work. Apparently, there was a risk that the galvanized faucet could snap while trying to remove it. Fortunately, this did not occur, but I appreciated knowing that this was a possibility before he started on it. Both jobs were done completely and well and I am glad to have these nuisance problems taken care of. I plan to call Robinson Plumbing again for my next plumbing job.
Description of Work: Replace cartridge and knob in shower. Replace galvanized faucet in bathtub.

+ 0 moreWe thought that their price was a way too high so we did not have them do the work. They expected that we would be paying that much of money for that kind of work but not big job. They didn’t come really quickly as far as setting an appointment for the pre-quote and did take a long time. They were not punctual.
Description of Work: Robinson Plumbing Services just gave us a quote to do some work about a month ago. They were proposing to relocate a small section of waterline that came off the water heater that came up to 10’ of height for $500.

+ -1 moreThe gas company refused to call me back. I called Robinson pluming and they were actually willing to come the same day. Dan did a great job, checked and rechecked all the connections. And the phone quote I was given was actually more than the actual cost. I would definitely use them again. Dan was friendly, explained what he was doing, answered all my questions. Dan arrived within the 2 hr time frame they gave me.
Description of Work: I needed a gas shut off valve for my range moved from the basement to the kitchen so I can have a new stove installed.

+ 1 moreMatt and Robinson Plumbing Services have done various jobs for us in the past. From installing our hot water heater (latest job performed) to unplugging clogged drains. We have NEVER been disappointed with their service and will keep calling them back if/when we have any other plumbing issues. We have them on speed dial :) I have to be honest, I'm surprised to read of someone giving Matt's business a "C". I'm more than positive that if there were ever an issue with any past work, Matt and his crew would've resolved it with a no-questions-asked attitude. He has always been honest and forthright in his business dealings with us, and if any bases have been left uncovered, he has always resolved it immediately. We have always been pleased with Robinson Plumbing and highly recommend them, without hesitation.
Description of Work: The latest job Robinson Plumbing performed for us, was replacing our hot water heater. They came in, gave us an estimate (very detailed) and stuck to the estimate. This is their written estimate (just to show you how thorough this company is...) "We are pleased to present this estimate for the replacement of a water heater: Install 50 Gallon Natural Gas Water Heater Extend Gas Line where necessary Check Chimney Connections are up to code Remove Existing Saddle Valve Install 1/2" sweat x 1/4" compression We will respect this home as if it were our own. Drop cloths will be placed down, work areas will be cleaned well to remove all debris. We hereby propose to furnish materials and labor in accordance with the specifications for the sum of one thousand seventy five dollars ($1,075.00) The above prices reflect standard procedures most often required, if unforeseen situations are encountered which cause a significant deviation from the listed scope of work, additional costs may be incurred. If this situation arises, work will cease and the proper parties will be notified with estimated cost adjustments. No work will proceed until such changes are documented and approved in writing by the proper parties. WE LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU!" This has been re-typed, word-for-word just to show you have thorough this company is in their business dealings. We approved the estimate, work was scheduled and carried out in a very timely, professional manner.

+ -1 moreBoth were professional, polite, neatly dressed (no butt cracks!), and clearly competent. Most importantly to me, these guys were punctual. They arrived on time as promised, did the job and left. In the past, I've dealt with three local companies as subcontractors for kitchen and two bathroom renovations/installations. The others were sometimes as much as three days late, didn't return calls, and blamed their clerical staff. One left a trail of debris and greasy footprints. Their lateness had other subs waiting, and I took time off from work at my expense. Robinson Plumbing was an absolute breath of fresh air. I recommend them with absolutely no reservations.
Description of Work: Plumbing repair. Old (approx 100 years) cast iron drain pipe to the sewer line in basement cracked. Grey water from dishwasher, kitchen sink & laundry all over basement floor. I sent an e-mail Tues. evening, Matt Robinson called first thing Wed. AM, came right over to assess and estimate. His worker, Danny arrived early afternoon as scheduled, removed the rusted out elbow & section of pipe, replaced it with PVC pipe and fernco's, checked for leaks, cleaned up the work area, took all debris with him.
