O'Brien's Moving & Storage

Their quoting process was efficient and their pricing fair. However, their customer service after the move was abysmal. There were many items with dings/scratches or just broken items, but mostly low value. The one item I am upset about is our treadmill. It was tested and functioning properly prior to moving. A third party disassembled it and prepped it for the move. The movers moved it. The third party re-assembled it at the new house and it didn't work. Called manufacturer and it required repair. Submitted claim with O'Brien's for this one item and they denied it because they looked at a picture of a circuit board and claimed no physical damage was visible. It's a circuit board. It's pretty easy to damage it from handling without the damage being so apparent from gross negligence, but that was not their opinion. Overall, I wouldn't recommend them, but if you're ok with them breaking some of your stuff and treating you poorly after they have their money then they're the right company for you.

They were quick and respectful. They're price was great.

O'Brien's Movers were prompt, polite and extremely efficient. A very professional representative came to do a free estimate before the move. The estimate was quite accurate and the final cost of our move was very reasonable. I would certainly recommend O'Brien's Movers.

WORST moving experience I have ever had in my life. Do not use this company to move EVER. They do not explain hidden fees when coming up with your quote/estimate and overcharged me $400. When I called to complain the salesman Carmen did not care and was completely rude to me on the phone. Even the movers while unloading my items said they do this to customers ALL the time. I was livid. I had to call the NJ state board of movers to verify their regulations. And to top it off, a personal item was left on the truck and has yet to be retrieved. I would never recommend this moving company to anyone in my life. I have moved 4 other times in my life and never felt scammed as much as this company did to me. Horrible!

Contractor who did the actual move was excellent. He ans his men were on time and professional. They wrapped moving blankets around pieces of furniture, protected the walls and railings. They were careful with all the pieces they moved and worked continually with no down time. When the move was finished, the contractor was honest and even credited me for time not utilized. I have moved 4 times and never had a good experience like thus one. To everyone out there, if you are planning a move, use O'Brien. Save yourself some heartache. Their cost is reasonable and they won't take advantage of you.

Worst experience ever with this company.. Rob did the initial estimate and was very nice and led me to believe that this was a professional company with experienced movers . Instead I had movers who took more breaks than working, asked repeatedly for me to give them items of mine and kept at it throughout whole move, and even went as far to put items to the side in case I changed my mind and wanted to give them to them. Never used TV boxes just stuffed them between other items on truck. Removed all TV cords and put them somewhere still have not found them have had to purchased all new cords for every TV and a piano Keyboard .. One mover kept laying down and taking breaks saying he was too sick to work.. They did nothing but talk bad about the company they worked for saying this " company won't even supply them with hand trucks and fighting over using each others hand trucks. I had one guy tell me when I asked him to take certain boxes to basement that " ask whoever brought it in I'm tired of taking things to basement" .. I bought them lunch which they took 1 hour break to eat and smoke ( which I was charged for) only to then later, when we were already 4 hours over the quoted time and I got my older father who just had surgery a sandwich , had one of movers say to me " thanks for thinking of us , we are the ones doing all the work you know" . I hadn't even eaten yet.. ON top of it we have a ton of things missing, no idea where most of the things were put, due to the fact that when asked to put things in basement I would watch them walk away and then find a area and just drop items not even go down to basement. I had one mover ask me if I had vinegar to make him a drink he was cramping up. Others were yelling at each other that they were tired of this... Put Hutch and Beds together wrong.. Total bill came to over $1500 more than quoted when only reason we were over time is due to the lack of work being done. On top of it I called Rob to complain and was told to call office and speak to Sam in Dispatch who clearly wasn't interested in doing anything and said he would look into it and never called back. This is over a week ago. Have now left two messages still never heard back. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had moving and I have moved multiple times. This is just a few of the things that happened that day.. I actually had to call in other movers next day to finish the job and correctly take apart and put back together all the items such as Beds and Hutch... O'briens movers said to me that my floor in brand new construction house must be tilted because they couldn't get Hutch to Line up.. rather than fix what they were clearly doing wrong they forced screws into wrong holes and basically rigged it so they wouldn't have to take apart and do correctly.. Had to completely take Beds and Hutch apart next day and redo them all.

It was very smelling moving ( small apartment to single family home ) , but they did well and I might use them in next time.

After reading horror stories about movers I was concerned. O' Brien's had no such problems.They gave a quote and stuck to that price.All my furniture arrived in great condition The movers were friendly and professio.nal.They have my highest rating.I would not hesitate to use them again.

all the gents were polite, professional and efficient. the packing went well and the move was planned and without major issues. any issues were mostly on my part as to where items should be placed. If I move again, which will no happen soon, I would definitely use you again. Thank you Obrien and the Crews!!!!!

The movers were very careful with things I was concerned about moving.

Karen came to my house and did a quick tour of the property and gave me an estimate before she left. She was very pleasant and easy to work with. When the movers arrived, (driver was Dan) they were very professional and covered my floors with a cardboard mat, so not to track dirt in. They worked hard and fast. I would recommend!

The rep who did the estimate was very professional and very thorough. The actual move went extremely well. Three man crew, all full time employees of O'Brien. The crew was professional, courteous and very efficient. Everything was wrapped or covered before loading. When moving items in and out of residences they were very deliberate and careful not to bump walls, corners, ceilings. Actual cost of the move was less than the estimate. I was extremely satisifed.
