Our AC unit failed in the afternoon. Maitz was the only service we were able to contact that evening and schedule for the next day. They said they could call on us first thing the next morning. They arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, had the parts to fix it and did. Not to mention it was literally the hottest day of the year, so we were pleased they could accomodate us on such short notice. We spent a little more than we had hoped, but were able to stay cool that day. They also reccommended a cleaning of the unit, and when we declined described the problem and how to address it ourselves. Very courteous, very professional, just a bit pricey, but hey the repairs will likely extend the life of our AC for a few more years anyway.

They walked around the house and I explained to them the toilet was plugged up. Then they checked the fuse box and he told me that the motor was dead. Then he said he had to pull off my motor and if it was a loose wire or fuse it would only cost me $2400. Then he said he could not do anything until the following Wednesday or Thursday but we could not wait that long. My friend gave me another phone number for a company and I called them and he was able to fix my problem for $249. They were able to come out in twenty minutes. Maitz gave me an estimate if they were to come and fix our problem that was over $4000 dollars, they said it could even be up to $6300.00. They still charged me a service fee for $49.00 and I was very upset and the lady from the company said I had to pay for it anyways. I said I would pay for it but I would put it on the front page of the newspaper about how they were taking advantage of old people. She ended up refunding my money after that. Afterwards, I was so upset over this situation. I went to see my head nurse and let her know I was upset about this and she sent me to the doctor who made me go to the hospital because my vitals were so low. I had to spend about 8 hours in the hospital and then I was released after my vitals went back up. I am disappointed in companies like these that take advantage of people.

I have been using Maitz Home Services as a contractor in my home for several years now. Jobs they have done include: replacing whole-house water filtration system, installing clean sump pit and battery back-up sump pump, unclogging drains, installing exhaust fan with light over shower, installing panel for easier accessability to shower/tub plumbing. I am very pleased with the outcomes of all work Maitz has done. Their service team members specialize in different areas of expertise with regards to the services they provide. They always cover areas that may get dirty with tarps, and they always wear booties to protect the floors. They always clean up after their work. All of the technicians who have been here are professional and courteous. I will continue to use Maitz Home Services for all of my heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical needs.

They didn't actually do anything, as the water heater was completely shut off. It was electric and turned out to be a problem with the mother board, because of which I have to change the entire thing, but I didn't have the money to do it. I was not here when they came and my girlfriend said they were really nice and told what the problem was. We didn't follow it up as we didn't have the money. They charged us only a charge of $50 for the service call. They didn't do anything, but they did show up on time. They were okay and since it was only a service call charge, $50 was reasonable. They were a little early and I will use them again in the future.

They are very reliable, courteous, and punctual. They are very clean and wear booties when they come in your home, and are very respectful. They are very patient and take the time and explain everything to me and I really appreciate that.

The price was reasonable. One person did the work and he was helpful in explaining what he was doing and making a few suggestions. The service was done in a short amount of time, it was efficient. I was pleased. They were there when I asked them to be.

We had a building inspection and then a follow up on a heat pump. Their billing was particularly bad because they wanted to charge $800 to come out and recharge a compressor for a heat pump which they quoted us $180. A new compressor costs about $800. They said we have made a mistake or maybe we didn't. They haven't bothered to call us back. I cannot give them a glowing recommendation. When someone tries to mess with you financially it is a real problem. I would not ever use them again.

It went well. They are very good. They are very well versed. They are little pricey. We were little surprised with the price that they gave us. They are punctual. They tell you the cost before they do the work. They are very knowledgeable. The work was done properly. I would use them in the future.

The experience was pretty good. They are very professional but a bit more expensive than the others. The quality is excellent.

I spent about $200 for their services. The first person was not that great, but the second one was pretty good. The first person who came in wasn't very consistent. He gave me some incorrect information in terms of what was needed. However, the second person was able to address the problems. He also did the service for a low price. Overall, they were pretty good.

They arrived on time and professional as always. Unfortunately, a regulator was removed and the heater did not work. Once we realized what the problem was, I called their service manager and he immediately had the problem fixed. It was a bit of a headache but they came through in the end.

They showed up on time to take care of the work and they did what they said they were going to do. I can't compare it, but I think it was a good price.

Everything went well, The Maitz plumer was punctual and very professional. He answered any questions I had.

I initially called a Monroe county company we had used for many years because they had licensed electricians and did reliable work. Receiving no response to the message I left, I checked Angie's list and selected Maitz because they had good reviews, were insured and bonded, and we were in their service area. Although I have no objection to leaving messages on business answering machines, I was still pleased when a person answered. After I explained what we needed to have done, I was told that they could send someone out the next day (Saturday). There would be a $39.00 service charge to look over the job and give us an estimate. If the estimate was acceptable, the work would be done that day. Given the cost of gas, I thought that was a fair arrangement. We were told that and quot;Johnand quot; the service man would be at our house between 1 and 4pm. The next morning, we received a call that the service man could be at our house earlier, if that was convenient - which it was. When John arrived, we gave him a list of what we wanted done, showed him where everything was, and he went to work on the estimate. The most complicated job was disconnecting the 230v circuit. About 20 feet of wire ran through a very cramped crawlspace, and we were given two options: 1, disconnect the wire at the at the electric panel and remove only what was accessible in the basement; 2, have all the wire removed from the crawl space, as well. We chose the first option. The estimate probably took less than 1/2 hour. We thought it was very fair, considering what had to be done, and what we had paid for comparable services in the past. We also had an Angie's List coupon for $50.00 off, which was a great incentive. The work was completed in about two hours, and we were very satisfied with the results. We were also given an estimate of $176.00 to remove 2 ceiling lights and replace with new ones. I'm sure we will contact Maitz again to do that.

Our central air went out on one of the hottest days of the year. My mother has COPD and it was very important to get the problem fixed ASAP. I called first thing in the morning and told someone would be in the area that afternoon and they gave me a four hour window and I got a call about three hours later and within the next 1/2 hour we where up and running. No run around no "we will have to order that" and with the unit being over 20 years old that is what we where expecting. The price was fair and the service was excellent. I called for repair service at the height of the a/c season. Meitz responded with an appointment the same day. I was informed where I was on the queue, and called again when the service technician was on his way. He arrived promptly within the time estimated, and completed the job efficiently, with courtesy throughout the appointment. This company stays on my list of preferred service providers.

Our central air unit broke over the weekend. I have them a call today and they came out and fixed it on the spot. The price was not to bad considering the heat wave coming. They were very nice and responsive. Use them.

I will use them again in the future.

I am totally satisfied with their performance

They did a wonderful job. The overall work was very good. They were polite, clean, and right on time. They did a good work from what little I know. They were very pleasant to deal with both office and the repair person. They did a lot of work. I would say it is a good company, seemed to be professional. They are not cheap on a long shot; but I got what I paid for. The price is expensive. I will use them again.

I was very pleased with them. They had a new girl come and give me an estimate. It turned out that she didn’t know what she was doing. She thought that they were just going to pull out two faucets and replace the faucets. They couldn’t do that it had to be the whole sink. They said that once they give the price, they stick to that. Even if it was $800 they stayed with the price what they had advertised. They put in the whole sink and that was fast. They are not really cheap. The work which they do is very professional. They clean up. I would use them in the future.

They do a great job. They are very pricey, but they do excellent work. The men are always very nice. You probably get what you pay for. They were really good toilets. They are usually very quick. They show up the same day or the next day. They are very personable. They explain everything. I just wish they were a little cheaper, but other than that, they're marvelous.
