A good experience. Technician provided informational "training" regarding electrical work being completed. Home is 42 years old and wiring had changed; explained additional wires.

The serviceman was very professional. He was prompt and courteous. The job took about an hour and a half and he did a good job. He cleaned up completely when he was done.

It is excellent. They are wonderful people. They are prompt and so kind. They actually show up.

They were a little pricey, but they did a good job. They were polite, cleaned up well, and were punctual.

It was fine. They were very nice, polite and there was no problem.

They were professional. They came on time when they said they would come. They gave an estimate before they charged any money. The estimate was bit high for what I wanted.

Went fine. The service person arrived on time and was very pleasant and professional. Have used this company many times in the past and will continue to do so.

It was a pleasure with this company. From the initial phone call where my schedule was of utmost consideration to Jon's prompt arrival, professional manner, speedy work and consultations, it was great. I plan on calling this company again whenever I need them.

I knew there would be a 29 dollar fee if he did not do the work, just for showing up and giving me a definite cost. So he had me over a barrel a little from the start. After looking over the job for about 10 minutes with me bullshitting with him he stopped, looked me over and saw I might be in a vulnerable situation with a new fridge and no connection. He said "aw, lets see, [ pause, as if estimating a cost when really just figuring how much he could get out of me as he is sizing me up] I will do the job for $350 bucks." I nearly fainted. What a blanking c---! After I was nice to him and after we exchanged brief tidbits, the f*-- is trying to screw me. I knew that this job should cost about 100 bucks maybe 125 at the most. The guy at sears told me when I asked about installation and the guy at Best Buy said the same. I wanted it done by a known business so I called Maitz. What a crock! I said something like that's way too much I won't pay that. He went back to his truck and came back and saw the copper piping installation kit pack on the table and said. " Oh, i just don't have much work so I will cut you a break or words to that effect. He said he would do it for $250 using my copper tubing. He would use a better valve instead of the little valve that came with it and he would have to solder in this valve. I was upset but allowed him to do it as my wife wanted it to be done today with the fridge pulled out into the middle of the kitchen and because I would have already lost the $29 dollar service fee. [ I had asked before he came out what it would cost and the lady had no idea, she was trained to lie and evade and say " i don't know" she was there for years and does the invoices and she does not know, what a stinky, stinky, sn---! If she would have said oh I have seen that he charges about $350 more or less. I would have not had him come out. They are trained to lie and present that they do jobs by the job not the hour. No wonder, if you look on the HVAC forums for members and others you can see that the profit for one price jobs and not the hour are many dollars higher not lower. They should advertise "we charge a flat fee or by the hour whichever is cheapest for the customer." If so, this job would have cost me 29 plus 69 plus 25 plus 5 for a total of $130 bucks. I called after the job was over to complain to the owner but he never got back to me. The stinky one screened the call and either did not give it to the owner or the owner just never cared to call back to hear my complaint. I gave my cell phone which is on 24 hrs a day and is in my pocket at all times. I feel i was robbed inside my own home and could not put up a fight so I relented and was under the intimidation of this employee. He looked okay but was forceful and stoic and became unfriendly when I accepted the lower pricing. He went from apparently your buddy to an evil non-caring jerk. I want a refund of my money down to $125. thats $150 refund plus another $125 for making me still think about this after 10 months. Maitz I would avoid at all costs. It will cost you apparently in every way and in the evasiveness of their secretary. I think they make a lot on the 29 dollar plus service fee and then they intimidate you and try to screw you with a high price and then if you balk they make up a story as to why they can give it to you for less and this price is much higher than others who charge by the hour. I put in a call today to talk to the owner or service manager and he was not available till tomorrow. I told the stink that I was going to put a review on Angies list because i had just joined and it was still bothering me. The stinky secretary was not fazed at all. I said could i not speak to him today, he could call me back before i put this review on. Stink did not seem to care. I made it clear i was going to review this situation on Angies list and i told her the whole story. Stink, did not seemed moved at all. If i was her i would have called the owner on his cell phone right away and tell him to call me before i write this review. Stink did not care and used the company derailment techniques to push aside any inquiry I [the customer] had today as in the past. She said he must have gone by the book in quoting me $350. Oh there is a book that she knows about but can not even give a general idea about a cost till you pay 29 bucks. You are paying 29 bucks for a quote. If you call them today and ask how much do you charge to replace a faucet in the kitchen she should say oh its the cost of the faucet plus about 69 bucks or so. She will not do that because they probably charge the mark up price on the faucet plus 200 dollars to put it in. Stink is taught to be evasive ambiguous and shifty. She should be honest, helpful, and give a general price or have a service manager give a price before they come out. If they did that they would be out of business or have to change their gouging techniques.

They arrived at my house within 2 hours and fixed the problem. Even though I was not a customer nor did I have their service agreement, they treated me like they knew me for years. I thought their price was a bit high, but being a sunday, I can except that! They will be coming back to give me a price on another job! They also offer service agreements for heaters, A/C, plumbing, etc that I will be getting! Thanks Angie for such a great service and recommndation!

The quality of the work was acceptable. I did have a real problem with their business model however. They say that they will not exceed their quote. They quoted me $500-$600, which was outrageous. I told them that the quote was too much for the work they were going to do. It took them about an hour to do the job. He came to me at the end and told me that he was willing to make the price $250 instead of the original price, but I accepted that number to get them out of the door and not have to deal with them ever again.

After Maitz's rep Augie arrived, it only took a minute for him to show me the reset button under the disposal. The problem was fixed and I was horribly embarrased. However, he then started to criticize the placement of a water filtration system under the sink and convinced me that my faucet was going to fail at any moment. I allowed him to remove the filtration system and put in a new faucet. What I did not appreciate, was the heavy pressure that he went into once he realized I was interested in the work. He convinced me I could never find a quality faucet like he would put in at a Home Depot or Lowes. The faucet cost $600 and I have seen comparable ones -- and nicer ones-- at Lowes and am kicking myself for my wimpiness in going with his expensive faucet. As mentioned by another reviewer, if you have an emergency and don't care about the cost, call Maitz. They come with a stocked truck, so there's no need for them to come back, they'll do the repairs on the spot. However, they'll also pressure the heck out of you and overcharge you.

If price is no object call Maitz. However, don't expect value. The actual price paid was 191.00 for a three minute repair.

I called them on a Saturday night and someone came out that night. I was very surprised. They were very responsive. The person who came out to service our a/c was very nice.

Our service technician, Audie, is excellent. He provided a price quote and the final bill was exactly as quoted. He arrived when scheduled, and completed the job in the time estimated. Have used this company many times in the past for plumbing and electrical work and have always been satisfied.
