Description of Work: I requested an HVAC and plumbing inspection on a newly purchased property. The A's are for the person who scheduled the inspection. All other grades are for the man who did the inspection. It was more of a sales pitch than an inspection, and with the exception of the central air, nothing else needed to be repaired or replaced as I found out after having someone service the furnace and allow the water in the heater to get hot. I was insulted that the inspector chose to ignore me, a recently widowed, female homeowner, and continued to speak directly to my son-in-law even after I asked him three times to speak to me since I would be living in the home and would have to take care of things myself.

Description of Work: I had a sewage back up of the main sewage line.......the folks at Maitz were very informative as to when someone was coming and once the tech was here, he was very informative and helpful.......he opened the line and things are back to normal now........I felt that for the work that was preformed, it was done well at a fair price.

Description of Work: This time they could not solve the problem with heating my gutters. They looked into the problem I was having & told me who would be better able to help me. This was done at no cost to me. We have used Maitz in the past to repair sewer line, from hse. to street. Venting bathroom fans & microwave fan to outside. Entire new gas heating system. Install proper wiring for a new generator, as well as other small jobs. They were very professional, honest, knowledgeable, & forthright in explaining what they were doing. The problem was fixed right the first time. Price quoted was the price I paid. No hidden extras. Anyone familiar with Mike Holmes' TV show, is how I look to Maitz for help.

Description of Work: Our water pump went out in the middle of a snow storm that left a dangerous wind chill along with a ton of snow. These guys came out after normal business hours, from over an hour away and was here until after 8 pm. Then when they did the work they were here early and stayed the entire day. It was expensive but they did great work, were very friendly, and helpful. Would use them any time.

Description of Work: Very professional service .. however they are a bit high priced. I wanted a lot more work done, but only went with the most necessary, which was to change the thermostat. The worker was professional and put on shoe protectors which I truly appreciated! He was quick, which was another plus.

Description of Work: electronic leak test on refrig, syst., freon and pressure test, add R-22, replace OEM indoor coil and TXV. We paid a lot more for this service because we took their so called Service Advantage Plan with monthly payments of 29.95 to get the "discount" price we paid. They do good work but they are too gimmicky with pricing and OVER PRICED in the long run.

Description of Work: Our Technician was Mike F. We initially ordered an a/c service. In the course of that Mike & I notice rust at the bottom of the water heater as well. It appeared that the water heater was leaking. Mike F. gave us several replacement options, we picked the one we thought was best. Mike was then scheduled to return and install the new water heater and another part for the a/c. The service, quality of work, and professionalism of Mike F. was great. We couldn't be happier. As a result we've order an annual service plan from Maitz. We've had nothing but exceptional service from this company

Description of Work: I had a test done for hardness of water. It was recommended to have a water softening system. I used this company for a new hot water heater so I felt comfortable using them again. The technician was prompt and explained the process all the way tthrough.

Description of Work: Just before Christmas, I came home from work around 6:00pm to find a pin hole sized leak in the pipe directly above my water heater. I attempted to contact plumbers I had used in the past to no avail. I contacted Maitz Home Services and they agreed to send someone over as soon as he finished the job he was currently on. A short time later, I did receive a call back from Maitz Home Services that the technician would be there within the hour. True to their word, he arrived on time. He looked at the problem and provided an estimate of $450 to replace a 7 inch section of copper pipe with pex tubing. I thought the price was way too high but what was I to do with the problem right before Christmas. As if the price was not bad enough, the plumber continued to try to upsell me on a new water heater, water neutralization system and all new plumbing for my home. Utterly ridiculous! I just wanted him to fix the problem at the exorbitant fee and leave. Within half an hour, the problem was fixed and I spent $450. I'm glad that Maitz was so responsive and punctual by I didn't appreciate the repeated attempts to upsell me as well as what I feel was way too much to fix the problem. Needless to say, I have been asking around at work to see who may know a good 24 hour plumber.

Description of Work: install a new vanity and toilet in remolded bath

Description of Work: Removed old hot water tank and replaced with new. Moved and put back washer and dryer. Cleaned up when job was completed.

Description of Work: Install a hardwire chandelier as a swag and remove and reinstall a chandelier in dining room with a ceiling medalion.

Description of Work: Checked heat pump. Replaced control wire inside unit.
