We tried to replace a dimmer switch in our dining room with a regular light swtich. When we turned the circuit breaker back on, there was a strange beeping noise. We decided to call in a professional electrician to diagnose the problem. This happened on a Sunday, and so we found an electrician who advertised 24 hour emergency service. We were without lights in most of the downstairs of our home. We called and spoke to a dispatcher/receptionist, informed her it was an emergency, and she said someone would get back to us. A few hours later, when we had heard nothing, we called back and were told that they had the message and that someone would be getting back with us soon. No one called back. On Monday morning, when no one had bothered to return the call by 10am, I called yet again just to see if they even had the correct telephone number, and was told that someone would be calling me back. In the meantime, I found another electrician who has been here, fixed the problem and left. It's 4pm and I still haven't heard from anyone from this particular company. I'm not mad at the fact that no one came out for same day service on a Sunday, but at the very least there should have been some type of telephone contact to see what the problem was. I find it outrageous that a company would not even bother to call back the next business day. I'm beyond annoyed with the manner in which my service call was handled, and I won't be using this company ever.

Bob Holland from Lehigh Valley Electric was truly excellent. He came to the home and offered to give us an outdoor landscape lighting demo at nighttime so we could assess the different lights in different locations. This was crucial, in retrospect. No other electrician offered us this service. The estimate was very reasonable and competitive. He helped us pick out pathlights and spot lights that were appropriate for enhancing safety but also accented our home beautifully. All our neighbors commented that the result was elegant! Bob explained the choices of low voltage vs line voltage and which was right for us. He corrected the short circuit, installed new lines, new lights, and new timers (all weather proof). He was friendly and easy to work with. He showed up when schedule and he was always on time. His estimate was the price paid. No overruns. He finished the job in the time estimated. A+ without hestitation.

When I called for someone to come to the house and give a quote, someone was at my home within a few hours to look over exactly what work needed to be done. A quote for the work was sent to us via email within five days. Scheduling the work date was done via email. When it became clear that a previous job would make him late to our house, he did call to let us know what the delay was and that he would be by to do the work later in the day. I'd say the price was right, communication was pretty good, and the finished work is to our satisfaction.

Great, from start to finish. We'd used these guys (actually, Bob, the owner himself did the work) once before, for a small job in our upstairs bath. Bob was so courteous and prompt, and did such good work, he was the first (and only) guy we called for this larger job. Again, LV Electric didn't disappoint. Bob and his assistant arrived promptly, were courteous from the get-go, cleaned up after themselves, and even took away the large boxes, styrofoam, etc from the fixtures (which we'd provided). The work itself was top notch as well. (He paused several times to get our feedback before proceeding.) Just super-nice people doing great work. Highly recommended!

Bob Holland was very nice! He came to do the estimate promptly and we were able to schedule the install at a time that was good for both of us within a week of the estimate. The price was spot on with the estimate. Not only was he consistently on time, he called about a half hour before showing up both times. He did the work very cleanly and quickly. I highly recommend him to anyone. He was professional and very very nice.

For an emergency call to a new client - SUPERB! I found Bob to be extremely professional and courteous which can be rare with some contractors. We will be using Bob again!

Very punctual. I was informed at all times as to what was going on and when. Bob also was in contact with my builder so they could coordinate the time Bob needed to be here during construction. Bob was very friendly, but most importantly did a very professional job. I would most certainly hire Lehigh Valley Electric again for any future electrical needs.

Smooth. Bob Holland is extremely prompt and courteous. Came to check out what needed to be done and then sent a quote right away. Once I accepted the quote an appointment was made and a project that was 15 years late was done immediately. Extremely quick and smooth going. We have an older home with several generations of wiring in them, so I wanted to find an electrician who is familiar and comfortable with this. We already have plans for more electrical work in the future and we would not hesitate to call Lehigh Valley Electric to complete the work.

I called Bob based on his excellent reviews on Angie's List. He came over on a Saturday morning and gave us an estimate for replacing and installing new outlets in our 60+ year old house. We decided to go with him based on the reviews and his estimate. Because of a few scheduling problems on our end and a couple bad snow storms, our availability for having the work done shifted a few times, but Bob was very accommodating and willing to work around our schedule. Once we finally found time to be home for the work, it went very smoothly. Bob was professional in explaining what he did and how he did it. He brought in drop cloths to protect the floor, and cleaned up after the work was done. I would definitely have him come back for future work.

Quite some time ago, my timer for my outside lights stopped working. To make a long story short, I tried several things myself, but just couldn't install the timer or a light switch so that it would work. It was time to call a professional. The only reason I gave Ed a B for punctuality was because he did not arrive at the appointed time, BUT he did call me twice to let me know about the delay and to let me know he was on the way.

Mr. Holland was very professional and pleasant. He performed his job and was neat and clean. He also cleaned up. He wore booties on his shoes. I would have no problem referring him.
