Description of Work: The service performed was exactly as advertised. I lost 5 shingles from Hurricane Sandy and had one company quote me $7,000 for a whole roof that I didn't need. The other 2 roofing companies never showed up! JW Contractors replaced the shingles and nailed down loose nails and siding that was out of place. As well as checked ridge vent and boots around the chimney all for $149.00. What more could I ask for? David

Description of Work: Jw Contractors replaced my roof after an inspection revealed some damaged shingles and warped plywood underneath. They arrived with a crew of six men and removed all the old shingles, paper and damaged wood and replaced everything. They did the job in one day which I thought was amazing. They came with a dumpster for the debris and covered landscaping and the siding with tarps during the removal of the old roof. Very messy. I was doubtful it would ever be cleaned up right. We requested that they try very hard to get all nails that might be on the ground since we have a dog and didn't want him stepping on one. They had a special magnetic nail picker upper which they wheeled around the property a few times. Very pleased and the roof looks great. They even put back my Direct TV dish in the right place! Currently, we have their sign on our lawn, which they requested if they could keep there and pick up in a week or so. They also said they would be in the neighborhood doing another roof in the upcoming week, so in case we had any issues we could find them. Very satisfied!

However, it they can't handle the volume, they shouldn't advertise. * We emailed them and it took days for them to return our inquiry. I know this is busy roofing season but when the offer expires 4/30, there is not alot of time to act *The person who called back had such a language barrier, it took 3 attempts to even determine who was calling. *My husband heard him to say someone would be out Thursday 4/26 to give us an estimate. We made arrangements for someone to be at the house to answer any questions but to our knowledge no one showed, or at least no one left a card/note saying they looked at the roof. * End of "deal" is tomorrow and no response or quote and the "deal" was just listed again?? If you are going to recommend them, and they may be terrific roofers, you may want to follow up with their customer service and customer responsivness. Thanks, Dale and Jane

+ -1 moreI called JW Contractors for an estimate on Saturday, 11/5, to get an estimate. The man said he would have one of his guys come out on Monday, 11/7. Nobody showed.On Wednesday, 11/9, while my wife was home alone, a man in a hooded sweatshirt with no company logos on it in an unmarked car knocked on our door 3 times before decided nobody was home and then proceeded to take measurements.I never received an estimate. Nobody called, nothing came in the mail.I called them on Monday, 11/14 to find out where my estimate was. The man said it was put in the mail that day.It is now Sunday, 11/20, and I still have not received anything from them.This "company" is extremely unprofessional and uncourteous. I have no idea how they got the "A" ratings on this site, I would strongly recommend avoiding this "company" if you want your work to actually get done.I can't speak for their quality or price, as I had no experience and have moved on.

+ -1 moreWe couldn't be more impressed. We made the deposit and they did it in two days. They left half of the roof overnight so that they didn’t have to tarp it because we live in a very windy area. We really appreciated that. They showed up the next day and completed the roof. We are still waiting for the second half of the bill. I probably will call them tomorrow. The estimate was $4600 however they replaced three sheets of plywood so of course it will add to that. That's why I need a final bill but apparently they are not in too much of a rush to bother the customer. I was very worried because I don't know my own lawn and I thought suppose there were nails around as I go on the lawn more. They put tarps around the whole house and cleaned it up. We were very happy. From comparisons from friends their price was good. We have never been this impressed with a contractor because most them don't even show up.

I speak not only for myself, but also for my 3 neighbors who have their townhouses attached to mine (all 4 townhomes received a new roof, therefore the cost listed only pertained to what I spent). Excellent work, and I'd highly recommend JW Contractors for any roofing, siding or gutter jobs in the future. Top notch!
Description of Work: Replacing all the roofs and gutters of the home. Process included removing and depositing of the existing roofing material from all the roof areas. Fifteen pound felt paper and 30 year Weatherwood Architectural shingles installed using 1 1/4 roofing nails to fasten them. Ice and water shield material installed along the bottom edges and valleys of the roofs. White aluminum drip edge installed around the perimeter of the roofs. Ridge vents installed along the peak of the roof. New chimney counter flashings installed. New 5 inch K-Style white gutters and 2x3 downspouts installed. Chimney diverter installed. Sun tunnel installed.
