They were excellent. The representative that was here was doing his job. He was extremely efficient, professional and has a lot of empathy answering my questions. I didn't understand something so I called them up, booked me this weekend and will read again. He came here and took all the time you want. He was very nice but I am looking at an almost $18,000 bill covering replacement of heat pump and I contracted with them. They are very nice. Being in the real estate business, I contacted some doctors, friends of mine and they've used him. Everything went perfectly fine. The people there are really nice and accommodating but I decided to go with Trane.

This was the BEST EXPERIENCE we've ever had WITH ANY CONTRACTOR of any type, EVER. I would recommend them to anyone for any of the services they offer. Initially, I chose Jack Lehr due to their response to a previous review. The fact that the president of the company would take the time to respond to the review meant he cares about the reputation of his company and the satisfaction of his customers. His assertion that they charge by the job and not by the hours spent at a site, and that they follow through with the job until it is completed to the reasonable satisfaction of the customer, demonstrated ethical business practices and integrity. From the moment I placed the call to request an evaluation of our furnace, I felt confident in my decision to employ Jack Lehr Heating Cooling & Electric. The receptionist was genial, polite, and accommodating. Other companies have implied that loyal or repeat customers receive better or more immediate service. Jack Lehr seemed to value my business with the same quick attention and excellent service that a loyal, repeat customer might otherwise receive. We called in the midst of sub-zero temperatures and with several feet of snow accumulated on the property. I imagine a heating company was rather busy amid such conditions, but we were able to get same-day service, and sub-sequent emergency installation of the requisite replacement furnace. We had 3 different service appointments and 1 sales appointment with Jack Lehr technicians, and every employee arrived immediately when they stated they would. The service appointments were quoted as beginning between 0730am and 0800am, and technicians arrived at 0730 on the dot. The salesman (for the replacement furnace) promised to arrive by 1430, and so he did. Extreme care was taken to protect our surfaces and furnishings, including boot covers and drop-cloths. I shamefully admit our basement is messy, and I think it was actually cleaner when the gentlemen left than when they arrived. Initial technician diagnosed malodor as result of cracked heat exchanger, resulting in dangerous Carbon Monoxide levels throughout the house. Thank goodness they perform Carbon Monoxide testing, as not all companies are equipped/certified to do so. I was instructed to open windows to vent the house, and he was forced to disable the furnace. He informed me that the heat exchanger was broken and that the furnace would require either a new heat exchanger or a replacement of the entire appliance. He stated that their salesman was available to speak to me regarding my options, and fortunately he could arrive within the hour. The salesman was wonderful. He was a former technician, thus he had the technical expertise to accompany his complete familiarity with the high quality products they carried. I was provided with several options at various price points, and additional a la carte upgrades were also offered. Moreover, he offered to remove the pesky, unused humidifier - a legacy from the previous homeowner - gratis. He left for about an hour to draw up contracts, and I was given time to do a little internet research on the products he had offered. When he returned, I felt confident in my decision to purchase certain products and refuse others which we couldn't immediately fit into our budget. I was especially happy to have modern, energy-efficient options, to which we did choose to upgrade. We were also loaned some space heaters to keep the house safe and comfortable until the new furnace could be installed. - a huge relief, as the temperature reached -1 that night! All employees whom we met were very friendly, seemed extremely knowledgeable and competent, and demonstrated high integrity. They all seemed to like their jobs and sincerely care about the quality of their work and the customers' comfort and satisfaction. The technicians took the time to completely review the work with me, even taking the time to show me the cracked heat exchanger. Numerous complimentary upgrades were thoughtfully included in the service, much to my delight: replacement of the original water hose (which was dirty and moldy, but still functional) and a complete replacement of the old exhaust pipe (an unattractive pipe, which was replaced by a modern, attractive combination exhaust/air-intake system). The gentleman who installed it had to repeatedly traipse through several feet of solid snow-pack, for which we are completely grateful and humbled. We are completely satisfied with the new furnace. It is quiet, efficient, and warm. The old furnace only heated the air to 90 degrees. If I remember correctly, the technician tested this one at 120 degrees. The humidifier was quickly removed and the area patched beautifully. Jack Lehr Heating Cooling & Electric will forever have our endorsement and gratitude.

From the office staff to the service techs, everyone is pleasant and professional. It is clear they want you to be pleased with their services but not in a pushy manner. The techs call to let you know they are on the way and their arrival time, my questions are answered and everything is explained. The office staff also are very willing to help answer questions or help with service issues. I have used the yearly maintenance agreement for three years, have not had any issues with my system and have been very pleased with J Lehr overall. While I have not purchased any equipment from them, I would not hesitate to recommend them for their HVAC services.

The work that they did was excellent! A number of workers worked through the day and they cleaned up after themselves. We did have a follow up call to them because the thermostat went bad, and they came back out and replaced the thermostat at no charge. We ended up signing a service contract with them and they service our HVAC system twice a year.

When they came out, the technician took apart my air conditior inside my house to access the coils. He didn't see any mold or mildew on the the coils so he told me he needed to use chemicals to clean the coils which is acceptable to use in a hospital and nursing homes but does have a smell. I am sensitive to smells so I advised against it. Their new iPad program wasn't working to quote for pricing, so he called the office to figure out what to do. Then he goes back to his truck and figure out what to do. He spent so much time fumbling with this iPad while they were charging for the service. So then he offered soap and water, which I am smart enough to know that this will not kill or prevent mold or mildew. Then he called back to his manager and they recommeded to use a UV filter that would cost somewhere around $1500. With a $1500 UV filter, which is a large cost to me I wanted to make sure it would work. When I spoke with the technician he said "it supposed to help." I don't want to spend $1500 on a uncertain garantee. I pay this company a minimum of $400 a year for maitenance upkeep, I have been a loyal customer with them for 12 years. I had the technician put my airconditioner back together which takes no more than 5 minutes. When he handed me the bill for the service instead of the quoted price of $150 for the service call, it was $175 when nothing was even done! The secretary told me that they only charge the quote and not by hourly. So I have no idea as to why they charged me an extra $25 on my service bill! Update: I want to say thank you to Jack Lehr Electric for the prompt response to this issue, they were able to resolve the issue that day, unforunately this review had already gone through before I could change the review. I have been a loyal customer of Jack Lehr for the past 11 years and had not had an issue until now. I am changing my overall grade to a B due to continuting issues with the iPads, but will change my review as time goes on and these issues are resolved, but they have returned my money in full.

Very smooth, from start to finish. Timeline followed perfectly. All persons evolved very helpful in answering our questions and doing the job. Installation only took 1 day.

Of the three firms that I had quote me for replacing my heat pump and air handler, Jack Lehr was the firm that gave me the greatest confidence that the work would be done with minimum headache. Their delivery met that expectation. Installation took a bit less than 8 hours, in scorching weather. They handled everything from cutting a larger access-way into my attic (as the original air handler was installed before the roof was put on), to removing the old equipment, to running new lines to connect the new heat pump and new air handler. All in all, I have no complaints at present, and the equipment seems to be working just fine.

I like that they had good reviews, not just Angie's list but a couple of people that I know had suggested them. They were very professional. They went out of their way to see that our needs were met. I'm talking from the first time we called them, the girl that answered the phone all the way up to the very end with the installation and follow up. They were wonderful to work with. If we had any questions, even after the installation, I had a question because a light came on and it was after hours, and the tech was too technical for me but he was so very helpful. I was very impressed and I would recommend them to anyone.

The service tech was prompt, efficient and courteous. However, he could not remove the HVAC filter for replacement, and so noted that on his report. ( It had been inserted by a different service company). To our pleasant surprise, within two hours we had a call from the "main office". They sent a more experienced tech that afternoon, who was able to diagnose and fix the problem. I like Jack Lehr's complete ownership of getting the job done right, and soon.

the representative came out Saturday,did a very thorough check of my heat pump system which needed to be replaced.monday morning I got a call that they would be out on Tuesday to install my system.that was 2 weeks before I expected.the install crew showed up 1st thing and did a great job.i have done hvac work in the past and these guys were very professional,efficient and efficient. I would HIGHLY recommend JACK LEHR to anyone.the price was the best for the companies I looked into and the equipment was top rated.the personnel were very careful with my property,and I thought they did an excellent job.

The attic was warm and it should have been cool. We were not getting the full heat into our living space. 95They came out, quickly assessed the situation and executed a permanent fix for the broken duct line.

Jack Lehr Heating & Cooling was excellent in every way. From the proposal by Steve Grimm to the installation by Ronnie and Roger. The initial appointment was on time and all questions/concerns I had were clearly answered. The proposal was e-mailed quickly and was clear & concise. Two days after approving the proposal the installation date was set for the following week. The technicians were on time and worked through the day, stopping only for lunch and short break or two. Ronnie and Roger answered my many questions throughout the day with clear answeres and in a friendly manner. Cleanup was done and the furnace was tuned for maximun efficiency. All work was done by mid-afternoon. Except for the new look of the ducting, you couldn't tell anyone was there working all day. The furnace has worked flawlessly since. It is very difficult to find a company the works this hard to please its customers. It deserves its high recommendation and that includes mine.

Went good from start to finish. Receoved estimates. Intaller was here and did work exactly when scheduled, was professional. we're very satisfied.

Once the permit was approved by Codemaster I got an estimate from Jack Lehr Electric. I gave all the paperwork to Jack Lehr electric that Codemaster had given me and said this is what I needed done: electric line for pool pump with outlet, timer for pump, grounding wire around pool and water bonding kit for skimmer. Jack Lehr gave me a quote for the work and I hired them. They came to do the work and only did the electric line and outlet for pump, they did not do the timer, grounding around the pool or bonding kit. I called them back and they said the pool installer was responsible for that. I said no, I sent you the zoning requirements and asked for that work to be done. They agree to come back out and finish the work. They did everything except put the grounding wire around the pool. Ed from Jack Lehr electric wanted to use non-burial bonding clamps where the inspector from Codemaster said to use burial bonding clamps. Ed said no and took his guy off the job. Now I am stuck with and open trench around my pool, 100 feet of grounding wire laying in the yard and having to hire another electrician.

Lehr's price was in the middle. Sales rep. made three visits to my house to answer questions. The owner personally stopped by the first day of installation to check on progress. Installers were prompt, professional, and courteous. Especially "Joe" the lead installer. He stayed with the project untill it was completed and made sure it was 100% functional. A subsequent call back for a minor rattle and a system refresher course for this owner was handled quickly and politely. Processed the various rebates. My impression is that this is an excellent company for installation, really cares about their local reputation and most likely will be excellent on servicing follow through.

Received estimates from two Trane dealers. While Lehr was slightly higher, they specialize in Trane and included the extended warranty. The salesperson for Lehr took the time to measure the home and perform the needed calculations, the other bidder did not. As it turns out, the required size was 1/2 ton larger than what was previously installed. The other bidder simply looked at the old unit and quoted units of the same (incorrect) size. The installation was very well done, they were careful with my newly refinished basement despite the bad weather. They used drop cloths, kept the area clean, and did a first rate job. There was a little bit of complexity tying into an existing boiler for auxilary heat,, but they stayed late until it was worked out. They were missing an air filter assembly on the job list, they came back the next day and installed that. Both the original installer and the one who came back to fit the air filter unit did followup calls to check if everything was alright. I was extremely satisfied and impressed with Jack Lehr, and won't hesitate to call them for any future work, HVAC or electrical.

They were good. They were prompt and professional. They know what they were doing.

We were told that they would arrive between 7:30 and 8:00 am. Joe and Steve (in two vans) arrived at 8am. I showed them the equipment in the house, and outside the house, and they began to haul in tools from their trucks. It was perhaps the rainiest day of the year. It was POURING outside. Since they came in the back of the house, through the yard, their shoes got muddy. They spread drop cloths everywhere in the basement where they were working so they would not get the floor dirty as they disassembled and removed our old air handler unit, and some ductwork; and subsequently assembled and installed the new one.They were polite and professional. Not only did they answer all my questions, but they didn't make me feel like it was bothering them when I asked. They even called my attention to the way they were doing the installation at times, to have me understand why they were doing it the way they were. They had a third guy deliver additional materials (including the outside heat pump I think) once during the day. I believe it took about nine hours for the install. This included recovery of old refrigerant, tear down, set up, recharge, and a half hour lunch break that they took on site. All trash was removed, all holes plugged, all documentation organized. I had mentioned to my wife that for what this was going to cost us, these workmen had better make sure the installation was flawless. I believe we got our money's worth. :)On a side note: Originally, we got three estimates for the work to be performed: Jack Lehr Electric rep had a laptop and printer with him, and would have provided one one the spot if his computer hadn't broken. He provided one the next day via email. Hannabery HVAC got back to us four days after their estimate, after additional prompting. Deiter Bros. never got back to us at all after their guy came for the estimate. I have provided seperate reports on both of these companies.

I have used them for years. They are a great company. They are prompt and do a good job. They are polite.

Jack Lehr Electric installed a new central air conditioning unit at my home. They are very concerned people. We are to have hot weather and I have not started the unit up yet. They came back to make sure everything was in working order before I used it for the first time. The price was very good for the work performed. They were very prompt and arrived on time.

It went very well. I would recommend them. They will be coming back when the cooling season starts.

Great emergency response. Emailed this vendor @ mid-night that my furnace was not working and received a call as soon as the business opened in the AM. (I was not a previous customer and did not expect a response in the middle of the night). Of the three or four professionals that I contacted, Lehr was the most informative, had the greatest sense of customer service, provided the best price estimate and showed up when they said they would. Steve Grimm came to the house promptly on time. He performed a thorough review of current state, provided options for repair and replacement and provided an accurate estimate as to the cost of a new furnace. I made the decision that it was more cost effective to replace the 20 year old furnace rather than invest in repairs. This contractor then arranged installation within 48 hours. The installation crew was professional and very careful with my home. They covered their walking path with plastic to ensure no damage to tile or wood floors. They went about their work immediately and provided a good explanation of what would take place. One of the pricipals in the company personally reviewed the work to be performed, consulted on best practices and consulted with the crew to align on an action plan. The work was completed within the time-frame estimated, without any additional costs or surprises. The work area was cleaned up and the system has worked flawlessly since. I gave "Pricing" a "good" rating only because I did not comparison shop the unit. It important to note what I was satisfied with the price. Would use this company again without hesitation.
