Diphillipo's Landscaping

The crew of 5 worked steadily for 8 hours, completing all of the tasks in the contract. They also did extra work that I had not requested, and did not charge me. Such as hand raking the lawn and adding top soil and grass seed to a few "depressed" areas of the lawn. They were professional, thorough, and courteous.

Looked fine when it was done but through winter slate work deteriorated uneven it wasn't done properly. Asked driveway to be dug down 4" all the did was pull the grass off used landscape mat then stone. Will not use them again.

This was, by far, one of the best experiences we've had working with a contractor - and we've worked with a bunch over the past several years. Tom was very responsive, professional, reliable, and delivered what was promised. Pricing was reasonable for the scope of the project. His crew was incredibly hard working - I was home throughout the completion of the work over several days and was amazed by what I saw. When we were a few plantings short of what was included in the contract, he didn't nickel and dime us as most contractors would, which we really appreciated. We're very pleased with the results and would definitely hire them again for future projects!

Great! The job was done faster than I thought because they had a 6 person crew working, not 2 or 3 like other places. Tom is very easy to work with and called many times during the job to make sure everything was done as I wanted. We had a little communication problem that was really my fault which resulted in a bush being removed that we wanted to keep, but he ended up replacing it with 3 similar bushes at no extra charge. At the end I couldn't believe how clean they left the place. No one can tell anyone was here ripping apart my yard (except the straw covering the new grass they planted). Very competitive price and they put their own touch into my yard which came out better than I could have ever dreamed. Year of experience counts. Many of my neighbors are jealous!

Tom returned our call within 24 hours and worked around my family's schedule to come out and discuss what we had in mind. At our first meeting, which took place at our home at 6:30 on Thursday night, I knew right away that Tom was good hearted and trustworthy guy. Most importantly he listened to what we wanted and then offered suggestions to enhance our vision. You could tell how important it was to Jim that it looked right but also looked they we wanted it to look. He offered just the right amount guidance without pushing his tastes and preference for plant materials on us. Within a few days we received his quote by email,, which was actually slightly lower than expected. I asked Tom out to our house one last time to go over the design. Once again he accommodated our schedule and came out to my home on a Saturday morning. We had coffee and he took his time to explain the design. We gave a deposit up front and agreed on a start date just two weeks out. I was surprised that he would be able to fit us in so early in the season. True to his word Tom and his crew arrived to begin the work. I should add that my wife had given birth to our son just eight weeks ago, and honestly was a little nervous over the idea of being home alone with a newborn and a crew of landscapers. She quickly become very comfortable as each member of the crew was very nice and professional, just a great group of normal guys that like to do landscaping. I was able to come home from a work a little early on day two of the project and soon as I set foot in my yard, each member of the crew took a second to walk up to me, look me in the eye, introduce himself and give me a proper handshake. Outstanding! They actually made me feel as though they truly appreciated getting to work on my home. The work itself is amazing! Our looks fantastic! I can't give a better recommendation. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a contractor. I already have plans for Tom and his crew to come back next spring and install a paved patio in my back yard!

They did a very thorough and excellent job. The contact person was very helpful and prompt with his replies to our questions. The job was done in a timely manner. We would hire them again and refer them to a friend.

Tom and his team did an excellent job landscaping our front yard. He is very knowledgeable about landscaping design and plants. The coordination skills Tom demonstrated kept everything running smoothly and on schedule. We appreciate the hard work and professionalism he and his team demonstrated. It was an absolute pleasure working with them.

They came out right away and gave me a nice estimate. They did good work.

Job went very well. Tom Diphillipo provided a landscape plan and was very patient as we worked through what shrubs we wanted. His workers were polite and cared about placing the new shrubs so that they looked good and we were satisfied. They even moved an existing rose bush at no additional cost. After the job they cleaned up the debris and except for the new shrubs you wouldn't know they were there.

Tom and his team are top notch. They were on time, courteous and let my property as clean as it was when they arrived. Maybe cleaner!!! They arrived when they said they would and finished ahead of schedule. Tom and his team adapted well to some changes I made on the fly. I couldn't be happier with the service, quality and the price. I can't say enough good things about Tom and all his guys. They were all extremely friendly and easy to talk to. I had some things i wanted to add and they listened and got it done without any hesitation. Communication is key and everybody at this company is top notch. I am very satisfied with everything from the price to the completed product. Will definitely be calling them in the future. Tom was great with picking out flowers, rock for the flower beds, and edge stone. GREAT COMPANY!

I am very pleased with the work done by Diphillos Landscaping. On the initial visit the workmen installed bricks around my window well in order to cut down on water in my basement. The also put down stones and edged the flower beds. Although there was a long delay in their return, the guys trimmed all the shrubs on the property (many of which were very overgrown), planted a new bush, put down mulch and installed landscape lights. It added up to a bit more than I had planned to spend but the result is well worth it. Thank you!

Once we were able to make a date. they did a beautiful job. the price was reasonable and my yard looks great. Looking forward to doing another project in the near future. They cleaned up the whole area and made it look better then ever ~

I solicited estimates from six landscaping companies and got three replies. The estimate from DiPhillipo's was in the mid-range of prices quoted. After the the offer was accepted, DiPhillipo's gave us an estimated start date and the work was started on schedule. Only glitch was a rain storm that delayed the completion by 1/2 day. Otherwise, the job went smoothly and we were very satisfied with the results. The crew were very courteous, professional and well-trained. The clean-up was very thorough. There was minimal collateral damage to the yard because they did all the work manually without having to run a backhoe or Bobcat on our lawn, which we really appreciated. Some of the green giant arbs were somewhat smaller than what had been planned, so DiPhillipo's gave us a discount on the smaller trees. Our neighbors commented on how well the results turned out, and one asked for their business card. We would certainly recommend DiPhillipo's and would hire them in the future.

The Diphillipo team arrived as scheduled and went to work immediately. They were all courteous and hard working. We had a couple requests to edge and mulch areas that were not in the original plan and Tom took care of us. Overall, the team did an outstanding job. We are completely satisfied with the work that was done and we'll hire Diphillipo's again for our landscaping needs.

Tom Diphillipo contacted me within 2 hours of my initial inquiry into Diphillipo's landscaping services. He was very courteous on the phone with me, as well as with my husband in person. The estimate that we received was exactly what we were expecting. Even better, I was able to use a 15% off of labor coupon that I found on Angie's List. The landscaping team of four gentlemen showed up at 8AM the day that Tom said they would. They worked very hard - let me tell you, my yard certainly was not an easy project. Although this is undoubtedly a very busy time of year for Diphillipo's, it took less than a month from the initial contact to project completion. We look forward to working with them again in the future.

Provider and workers showed up on time. Work was completed on schedule. End result was excellent and our home was the envy of the neighborhood. The price for the value was phenomenal.
