Overall the work provided was superb from the the initial quote to completion. This is truly a first-class and highly professional group. I could not have asked for better service. Not only did they do what they said they were going to do; but also they performed some extra services at no additional charge. They were careful and meticulous and left the yard and environs better than it was when they arrived. Highly recommended!

excellent work. estimator was quick to come out (didnt even require me to be home for estimate-answered a couple questions via email), and once i agreed to the work they went out within a few days. They are very knowledgeable about trees and how they should be pruned, they did a thorough job and also left the tree very nicely shaped (before was pretty scraggly). they are very pleasant to work with. this is my second time going with them (different house) and both times they bring a very pleasant atmosphere. they are very good about clean up and even swept up an area that wasn't their mess.

Working with Shectman Tree Care was a great experience from start to finish. They came out and did the estimate very quickly. I had 3 estimates done and not only was Shectman's the most reasonable but I thought their company was the most professional. Other companies proposed expensive chemical treatments to stop the ailanthus stump from resprouting, Shectman said just sprinkle some rock salt on it. They even pruned a small holly tree at no extra charge.

Rob came out to estimate right away and completed the job a couple days later (excellent!) the hedge is very even and they took some time to assess slope, draw a line, etc. (not a hack job) did a lot of hand pruning to make it look nice (a stark contrast to the nearby hedge I did myself) they also pruned the trees as directed but went even higher to remove a dangerous hanging branch I never noticed (no extra charge!) a surprise discovery of a large hornets nest, did not phase them (or result in extra fee). they bravely removed it (one guy suffered a sting but because they were so careful the hornets did not sting any other times) clean up was thourough. they were also very friendly to my toddler whose nose was pressed to the glass the entire job!

Looks great. Hal is a real expert. Glad we could save the tree.

This contractor arrived on time as scheduled, did all the work we had discussed, and some more, within the estimate, cleaned up after themselves, and, as far as I could tell, were very attentive to safety considerations for both their employees and our property. In addition, I was pleased with the attention to design details - they made an overgrown shrub look beautiful - I would recommend this firm any time!

Hal Rosner came out within a day or two of calling for an estimate. He gave me the estimate in a timely manner within a week. On the day of work, the crew was thorough, efficient, and left the property clean. Hal called me and told me they would be there on Monday and they were. I was pleased with the open communication, the work they did,and how they left the property. It was a great experience, the service was complete and correct, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs tree services.

I wanted an estimate on the cost of tree trimming for my back yard. Unfortunately the snow came just after I contacted this company. Despite that, he came to our house and trekked to the back yard to give me an estimate - very responsive and informative. My husband then decided he could do it himself but at least we knew what it would cost and were able to get a quick response!

They are real pros. Hal came out to estimate and gave me great advice. The crew who came out to remove a tree and prune another tree were as well, and very efficient. I will use them for all of my tree work in the future.

From start to finish they were friendly and very professional. Came when they said they would always, and on time. Did a very very good job with the pruning. Cleaned up after wards and even cut and stacked some wood we wanted saved for firewood.

He's quite knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Within a couple weeks of the quote when scheduled, 3 guys came with him and were in and out in about 2 hours. Cleaned up after themselves and did a great job. Only thing bad I could say is that it was a little expensive, but I did get an accurate quote beforehand.

The two small trees were removed in a jiffy. I hardly had time to see them come down. The stump in the back was very rotted out so it came apart and cut up and moved out. The stump was then ground out. Another company said they did not think they could grind out the stump but Shechtman was able to with their 36 in grinder. The whole job took a couple of hours and they cleaned up pretty well after themselves. There was some damage to my neighbors' fence but it was in bad condition anyway and we are going to have it fixed anyway. The stump was removed because we are getting a new fence put in.

Excellent service! Hal Rosner, one of the arborists, came out to look at the project. He was extremely competent, polite and answered our questions to our satisfaction and listened to our concerns. The team that showed up to do the work was very efficient, friendly, clean and did an excellent and competent job. Hal Rosner was there to go over everything with them before they started work. This is the first time I had a tree contractor, who was not just some hack. The magnolia looks beautiful now and so does the mulberry. I will definitely work with them again.

They showed up on time. They cleaned up after themselves. I think their price might be a little bit higher than the others but it is worth it. The quality of the work done is perfect. They are professional and responsive.

The estimate was timely and professional. Bob took the time to thoroughly hear and address all of our concerns. The work was done in one day and the sites were left with no traces of saw dust or debris. The work was done as expected and the trees look great.

After my neigbhor said Schehtman could not use her driveway for hauling tree debris away after promising that we could, Zack reajusted and got my job done in slightly more than half a day. It meant dragging some large branches 100 to 200 feet to the chopper.The group was wonderful and did great work. I feel like my overgrown yard with dangerous rotting apple tree has been transformed. I have a new beginning.

The crew began at the time agreed. They worked efficiently on the cutting and removal. They cut pieces for firewood and stacked them next to our existing firewood. The cost included this as well as stump removal. All of this was done and the area completely cleaned of all debris including sawdust and chips. Two of the crew members went up into the tulip popular and trimmed all appropriate branches and even inspected the existing cable between the two trees. Cut branches were picked up and removed.
