Shechtman Tree Care

It went well. They came and reviewed what they would need to get done and provided a good price. Scheduling was a little challenging because of lousy weather, but they came when they said they would and completed the task in a short amount of time.

Trees were beautifully trimmed of dead and potentially dangerous limbs. The company really cares about trees, and it shows in the work.

They did exactly what they said they would do. We love our tree too much to give it to anyone else to care for.

They are the only company that will do my tree work. They are very safe, professional, and making sure everyone in the neighborhood was safe.

Job was done quickly and professionally.

Zach led an incredibly professional crew, who tackled our big project in just two days. Our toddler had a blast watching the team climb the trees with the crane and carry the logs to the grinder. They even cleaned up the neighbor's backyard since they had some sticks and sawdust from the job. We can't recommend them enough, it's also a plus that their business is on our street. We'll definitely be using them if we ever have any tree work in the future.

Truck showed up on time. However wood was of wide varying sizes and not suitable for a fire place. I had firewood delivered from them a few years ago and was satisfied then. This time I had to reject the whole load.

They were super helpful and professional. They went above and beyond just basic service and did more than they said they would.The guy we worked with, Nate, came to give me an estimate and explained clearly what our options were. The work was done perfectly.

Rob provided an estimate for a large tree on our property (that has utility lines running through it) for removing dead limbs, and reducing the overall weight. Once we received the written estimate, we requested to schedule the work, which was completed as promised. They also removed dead branches from our property which had fallen previously which I had set aside to dispose of, and cleaned up the debris by the curb where the tree grows. Overall, the work on the tree looks great, and our neighbors even complemented on the nice work that they performed. In addition, I feel Rob provided us with some good advice about when to plant a new tree prior to eventually taking out the current tree in 5 to 10 years time, allowing the new tree to reach an adequate size for providing some shade on the side of the house.

It went well as always. The crew was considerate, professional, knowledgable and communicated well. They clean p after themselves and are careful in their work. We have used Shechtman Trees now for years and have always been happy, and this experience was no exception.

Used these guys for tree care and they were awesome. Also bought firewood from them, but the wood was awful. Not seasoned, irregular chunks, lots of unsplit wet pieces and it all looked like it had been dragged through the mud. Very disappointing. Found another supplier that delivered 2 cords of really nice clean wood. Too bad this did not work out, their tree service was A+.

On time and did more than they quoted. They even hung a rope for our kids to use as a swing. Great guys that really care about trees. I thought we needed to remove one tree on our property but, Rob took a look and said he would lighten it up and it would be great for another decade. These guys really know trees.

I have used Shechtman twice before, once to remove a dead pine tree and once for firewood. They were clean, punctual, professional and easy to work with. For this third job of trimming trees and pruning a tree, I didn't tell them how I wanted the work performed, I just let them at it since they are the tree professionals. Needless to say, I am very happy with the work they did. I also read that they are involved with the Morris Arboretum, one of my favorite places in the City. That is icing on the cake. I will definitely be using them again. Actually, now that Zach and his crew are my tree guys, I'm thinking of planting a few more.

We called on 7/18 and Nate called back on 7/23 and advised he'd go out that day and get us a quote. He got us an estimate shortly thereafter and we decided to sue them for our work. Nate was the ultimate professional throughout our time working with him. We had to wait a few weeks for the work to be done due to other projects and weather but that wasn't an issue. 4 days before the work was supposed to begin a 60 foot tree fell in our back yard, adding to the scope of the work. Our job was complex and required a crane to remove a very large tree close to our house. Nate and his crew were very good and removed all four trees plus cleanup in 4 days. They left wood chips and some cut up wood for firewood as requested. We only had one issue. During the stump grinding the grinder made a few holes in our siding and no one told us. We noticed it and contacted Nate and he responded very well. Told us they would pay for the work no questions aksed. He even gave us the name of a contractor. It took a couple of weeks to get it fixed and at that time we deducted the repair cost from our tree service bill as Nate directed. All in all we were very pelased with the service and professionalism of Nate and his crew.

Already provided. They have worked for me twice now, once at my old house, so I am sold on them.

It's not a "today problem" as my mother would say, and I was hoping it would cost a little less, so I'm going to wait a little bit. But I appreciated the quick reply to my inquiry and look forward to hiring Shechtman Tree Care at some future date.

Everything went fine at first. They responded promptly when I first called, came out for an estimate, and seemed very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Said they would e-mail an estimate but they never did. I e-mailed a week later, just in case they had lost my contact information, but I never heard back. I see all the good reviews and I'm sure they're accurate; not sure what went wrong this time.

Made the delivery while I was out, I returned and found beautifully stacked wood, and they sent a bill - very easy to work with!

Rob came out to provide a quote shortly after I made the request. In a couple of weeks they were back to remove 12 tall trees sandwiched between a fence and a tall drop off to our neighbors driveway. The crew removed the trees all in one day and did a fantastic clean up of the area. I would definitely recommend and use them again.

Nate and his crew did a fantastic job with a challenging task: they had to take apart two fences to access a large tree from a small (13'x15') center city patio area. The tree cutting by Omar was a combination of science and art - each large branch was wrapped in a rope and lowered gently to the ground once it had been cut so as not to hit neighboring structures. Two neighbors came out to watch and were impressed with the skill and speed of their work (start to finish was about three hours). I saw another neighbor talking with Nate afterwards and getting his card. Throughout the whole process Nate was positive and helpful - I was concerned about the removing of the fences in order to get the stump grinder through since one of them is for security, but he reassured me that they would put them back together - and they did. For a non-security fence that was harder to remove he asked if he could cut through it since he knew we are planning on replacing them. The same thing happened when he realized that part of the root that was not accessible to the stump grinder - he asked if they could cut out a hole in the fence and then put it back as best possible. I really appreciate his asking before doing! In my opinioin, a better job could not have been done in terms of the tree removal, communication and attitude. Peace of mind: priceless!

They came when they said they would, did a great job removing the tree, and ground the stump up really well so I could plant another tree. The sidewalk had been compromised by the roots of the tree, and when removing it, the sidewalk cracked. I'm not sure it was really their fault, but since it happened while they were removing the tree, they told me about it and took responsibility for fixing it without being asked. I couldn't have been happier with them.

They arrived when they said they would (while we were at work), and did what we asked. I was worried that they would cut too much but they seemed to know what they were doing and didn't strip the tree. They cleaned up so well we almost thought nothing had happened! The price was similar to other highly-rated tree services for the job (I priced three or four). Note: this provider seems to prefer communicating by email rather than phone, something I prefer, too, but someone else may find to be not responsive enough.

We called several tree companies. We spoke to Hal Rosner from Shechtman Tree service. He came out promptly and surveyed the tree. We needed a statement for the insurance company for the driver who hit the tree. Hal quickly sent a letter with an estimate that we were able to send to the insurance company. Hal was able to schedule the work. His crew quickly came out and removed the tree. Not only was there no evidence that an accident had occurred there, but there was no evidence that a 60' tree was there, either. They did a great job!

Nate and his crew came out on time and were easygoing, professional, and courteous. With the upcoming potential nor'easter, I'm relieved they came when they said they would and did such a great job. They worked fast and efficiently, and left my property cleaner than when they arrived. I came home to a spotless walkway and back yard, with the work complete and beautiful. They managed to prune my side of the overhanging juniper in a way that didn't make the tree look lopsided - and I was really impressed. I highly recommend this company. While I hope I never have another tree fall anywhere near my house, if I do, these are the first people I will call.
