Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

They arrived quickely. Unfortunately after evaluating the situation they wanted $420 for the first hour and $250 for each hour after that, with the $420 first hour as a minimum. I was pretty shocked when my manager shared this info. Needless to say, we used another company. We made two calls to other compaies and found that the job could be done for less than HALF what Roto-Rooter quoted! Also after looking at the reviews on Angie's list, it appears that Roto-Rooter's rates have a WIDE sing, which shouldn't be the case from a reputable business IMHO.

I am always wary when only one service provider is allowed but i was pleasantly surprised by the service. Mike was on time, efficient, professional, and took care of all the necessary paperwork for the rebates.

I was very pleased with them. They came on time and they finished the work within the time they said. They were there till the work was done. They were very pleasant and went above and beyond. They were pricey but their service was a little better than what I would have expected. Their price was perfectly reasonable. I would use them in the future.

Scheduled an appointment to clear a basement drain. The technician arrived a couple of hours outside the original time window due to other emergency jobs they had to finish. It would have been nice if they could have called to let me know, but I had to call them to find out about the delay. That is my only slight complaint. As far as the work went, the man who came to do the work, Jesse, was very skilled, polite and professional. After I saw him clear the basement drain, I asked him to clean the other house drains as a preventive measure. He accepted the additional tasks cheerfully and I was very pleased.

They replaced the tub drain plumbing for a reasonable price and well. However, I made the mistake of having them do the rest of the plumbing that I needed done on my new house. He quoted me prices, which seemed reasonable and was more than happy to run out and get all the parts I needed. I offered to get them to save cost, but he said he would be happy to. He neglected to tell me that their parts prices, time, and mark up would add more than 400% to the parts cost. At that point I had all the plumbing parts out and water off so I was a little stuck. Thier costs are done by an item cost, not an hourly charge. I think I probably paid twice what I needed to and didn't get the quality I would have with a normal plumber. He also neglected to rehook up my dishwaher drain when they replaced the sink. I really felt like I got swindled. I think I could have had my whole kitched and bath replubmed for the price it cost me.

They did a good job. I will be calling them again soon because I wanted them to do so. One of the guy's name is Paul. He is such a big fellow. My seals on the copper piping broke, which runs from the commode in the bathroom. It had been on that pipe for probably 15 or 16 years, and there was no way I could move them. This man came in and he had to use two wrenches to move. He had to lie down on the floor. This man filled the whole bathroom by lying on the floor with the two pipe wrenches. He pulled them apart as nobody else could. They have a schedule to start with. They use that schedule to bill the customers for what work they have done. They came when they said they would come.

Last Thursday our sewer backed up late at night, before 3 days of big events at the house. RotoRooter came and got things going enough for us to limp through the weekend, but advised us that more work was needed since we could only find a storm drain cleanout for them to work through. At 1:30am we called a halt to work and made an appointment for 2 guys to come back at 3:30pm on Monday and rotoroot the line through a roof vent. I ultimately went with another much cheaper company for that work. On the good side: RotoRooter was immediately available and came right out, the plumber called in a 2nd guy to help, they used a line camera to check out the state of the pipe and a locator to mark the line & some issues that the city will need to address and gave me a DVD to use in that effort. On the bad side: the initial plumber didn't recognize that the cleanout was for the storm drains (not the sewer) so he got his blade stuck in the P-trap and spent a lot of time and broke part of the cleanout pipe getting it out, the hourly rate ($205) was just exorbitant. On Monday, I was able to locate the sewer cleanout and called RotoRooter to tell them that only 1 worker was needed and that I wanted to compare estimates before he began work, but that was never passed along; both guys arrived, prepared to work on the roof. Also, they arrived almost 3 hrs after the agreed-upon time. To be fair, I was not charged for the 2nd guy or the camera or locator work, but I think we spent $166 more than if we'd gone with another service from the start.

Roto Rooter was great. It was fine. They were polite, cleaned up, and were fine.

He was prompt and came out the next day. He was only supposed to do my kitchen drain but I told him that I also had some slow drains in my bathroom and he went and looked at those too and cleared them. He treated my drains with a bacterial solution because I am on a septic field.

They offer same day service and their prices are always the same. They come within several hours. I've used them at a couple of different houses. It was great. They charged a flat fee of $175 to snake the drain and an additional $80 for each additional line. The second time I used them they had to grind out all the roots. They had to work on it for a quite a while and I spent $410 that time. The first time I used them I only spoke to them on the phone and the guy was nice. Their prices are fair and good. I wish they had told me that I needed to have another line done. They tell me it will be two hours and it is usually three hours. I think the second guy could have been a whole lot better. I will absolutely use them again.

The first gentleman that came didn't realize I needed extra work so we rescheduled. Both gentlemen who came were very professional. The second individual arrived on time, listened to what I wanted and did a thorough job of evaluatiing my needs and recommending solutions or changes. The estimate I received was very much "in the ball park". I've not decided to do the work as of yet but that is no fault of Roto Rooter.

We spent about $280 for the last job. There were a couple of pipes that were blocked up suddenly and they did a great job. We have been using them for many years. They are expensive, but they get the job done too. They are excellent. We have been using the same plumber and he has been working for them for years.

Things turned-out well. After about 40 minutes, he finished with the drain line, so I had him work on a clogged drain spout. The drain spout was on the second story. The tech was willing to climb a ladder with his power snake to resolve the issue. It wasn't an easy task, so I was impressed.

We called to get an estimate for getting a shower drained unclogged. They would not give us an estimate...they just said that they show up, then give you an estimate. We then asked whether they have a minimum charge...they said they don't. We are busy people and don't have time to waste time taking time off from work to get an estimate from a company which essentially would give us no price info over the phone. We decided to hire another company. We've since found out that a friend had a similar experience and did the same thing as we did.

We spent about $1300 on that work. The marathon water heater was a special PTE thing that they sent out a life time water heater. Our experience went fine and he was on time and very pleasant. He seemed to know what he was doing and we have no complaints and the clean up was fine. They pulled the old water heater out and everything went just the way I hoped, and they disposed of the old water heater.

The Roto Rooter guys based out of Wilsonville are amazing and we've used them several times. You call there national line and you get connected probably to the local department. It seems to be Wilsonville that talks to me each time. They are extremely clean with their work and its spot on. I have used them for home and commercial and they have been fantastic in all those experiences. I would use them again in future.

They figured out where the problem was and then they came back and fixed it because we chose to do some of the excavating ourselves. I was very happy they gave us this option. They did a good job and everything seems to be working fine.

They knew exactly what to do, had it taken care in just fifteen minutes and it was a great experience.

They were very helpful - they came out when they said they would come. It was an emergency situation and they were able to right out and work until the project was complete.

They were a very good company. We were very happy. We don't have any complaints. They came on time, within a couple hours of us calling. They told us how much it'd cost in advance. We don't have problems since then.

They showed up same day as I called. They did the job quickly and did a nice job cleaning up. Also gave us some good advice on how we could avoid such problems in the future.

They arrived within 1 hour of the call, the tech was quick to survey the problem and present some solutions. Let us know costs before starting any work and got our approval before starting. Since we are in a manufactured home, the drainage provided a bit of a challenge as he could not get to the main drain cleanout without getting a second tech and going under the house. We chose to have him remove a toilet to root the line, he did not get it initially due to the configuration of lines in our house but he removed the end of the snake and just used the cable. He was successful in removing the plug and clearing the drain all the way to the main sewer connection. Very courteous and fast, replaced toilet with a new wax ring and cleaned up afterwards.

Fine, drain worked great afterward. Old house, old pipes, and hadn't been lived in for two years.

The two man crew and supervisor were on time, polite and seemed to know their job. Some delay caused by their own mistake, and having to redo their work. We had no way to compare the cost, given that the work was already in progress when it increased. We were given the choice of whether to fix the pipe or not, but decided it was cheaper and easier to do ONCE, than in two separate jobs. Over All we were satisfied with the work done.

I want to give them A++++ on everything. They are so good. They went above and beyond. They even gave us a senior discount.
