Constantine was polite, professional and punctual. Looks like he does outstanding work and uses high quality products. Sadly, the bid was higher than we were willing to spend and our neighborhood property values wouldn't have sustained/justified the cost. If our property was worth more and in a highly desirable neighborhood, I would have hired them.

Excellent work, they are on the expensive side, but they work very quickly, doing excellent work, cleaned up well and were very friendly. I love my deck!

In the end, I chose to have the contractor that built my deck at my last house do this project. That being said, I would absolutely consider Creative again in the future. Their pricing was competitive and right in the middle of the pack of the 6 bids I received for the work.

Quick estimate. Took four weeks instead of two. Waited 3 months after estimate for project to begin. One person worked on the project throughout. Very skilled deck person. Finished result was excellent. High quality of workmanship.

They were actually quite professional. He clearly knew what I was looking for. He drew me a little picture of what he would do. It was not a detailed plan, it was just a sketch but I know that he understood what I was after. The price was pretty high. Their responsiveness, punctuality, and professionalism were good.

Great service. Very professional. They were not the cheapest bid, but it was because we decided on a higher quality material (ipe). We loved their design. We would definitely recommend them to others and may use them again for another home. We had Mitica come out to design a replacement for an old and borderline dangerous deck on the back of our home. We had had a couple of other vendors come out for a bid but we weren't terribly excited about using composite materials. Mitica suggested ipe and it turns out they are experts in using this exotic hardwood. We really liked the wood and his design for a 2 story deck with connecting stairs. The team did an excellent job of removing our old deck and installing the new one in a relatively short time. They did an excellent job caring for our home and property during the install. The deck was beautiful when it was finished and held up well for the next 7 years we were in our home. I would recommend this company without reservation.

Work was promised in August to start start of November, but start was delayed by about 3 weeks. However, that was the only minor hick-up. The attention to detail and high quality craftmanship of the work of Mitica crew is truly excellent. Everyone who has seen the deck, particularly other contractors performing other work on the house at the same time, and say the job from beginning to end, commented on what a beautiful job they did. Finally, there was a "issue" after completion of the job.... the workmen put down a plastic adhesive to protect the homes hardwood floors from damage while transiting the home. Unfortunately that material was a carpet grade rather than material made for hardwood. As a result, that material would not easily come up/off. When i informed them of the issue, after they will fully paid and the job was "accepted" as complete, they sent a crew to remove (by hand) the material. To me, this shows the firm honors their commitments and pride in the customer experience. I recommend Creative Fences in Deck's highly.

Matika met with us and came up with a design that we were happy with the same day. Within another day or two we had three separate bids for each component (depending upon the materials used). We chose for the deck ipe wood with aluminum and cable railing; for the patio Pennsylvania blue stone; stone for the retaining wall; and pavers for the steps. He couldn't start the work for several months, but the end result was beautiful. The process was seamless and and the workers were very pleasant.

Quality workmanship and materials. We were included in design decisions and materials used, including decking materials. The fence is gorgeous, the privacy screen is perfect, and the front porch/deck extension is just what we wanted.

The resulting deck, fence and gates are beautiful. The quality of the work is superior, excellent. Had several neighbors in and they were truly impressed. But... This was a big job. For about two weeks it was a construction site so I was expecting damage to the landscaping. Some of the plants were between the deck demolition/rebuild and the fence; no surprise, they were trampled and I accept that. What bothered me was the apparent lack of respect for the remaining landscaping. Over the long three day July 4th weekend, to hide the contractor's tools from eye level, he dropped them on ground covers not near the construction site. I could move them but I don't think it's my job to clean up after the contractor. These were heavy tools, a post hole digger and a large iron crowbar. Similarly, a "black box" used on the old deck for connecting Christmas lights was thrown into bushes across the yard rather than set aside to see if it should be saved. I know a table saw is used at construction sites. I know they generate saw dust. Does the contractor know that? I would think that if he does, he would position it in an area outside the garden (garage, driveway, etc) or, at the very least put it on top of a tarp. After the job, the site was blown with a leaf blower which just left a "circle" of clearing surrounded by heavy sawdust. I have photos of these. Am I being too sensitive? He said it's organic but the chemicals put into pressed boards are not organic. It's copper I'm told. Ever see plants growing in copper? I think it's an ingredient in herbicides. The resulting deck and fence are beautiful. They do wonderful decks. I don't know if all deck/fence contractors are this damaging to yards but it is something you should be careful about. They have used me as a reference and I have proudly shown the deck off. Again, I don't know if others do things similarly but that's my experience. Go into this with your eyes wide open!

The entire job went extremely well. As you can imagine, iron wood is very heavy. Consequently, they added additional support under the deck. The original deck was build with "old growth" cedar, which is no longer available. While it was a very good deck, the iron wood far exceeds it in beauty, strength and overall appearance. We are very comfortable having crowds of forty to fifty people on this deck; would not have been quite so confident with the old cedar deck. During installation, there were two workers on the job constantly. They arrived before eight in the morning and did not leave until after five in the afternoon. Very impressed with the job ethic and workmanship. While the job cost more than having a cedar deck replacement, it was well worth it. I highly recommend Mitica Leontescu and Creative Fences and Decks.

The work went extremely well.

This was unquestionably the best experience I've had with a home contractor. Mitica was prompt and professional in his bidding; the bid was competitive and he followed up at appropriate intervals during the project. Great wThe (mostly) two-man crew was outstanding. They were professional, thorough, considerate, and did absolutely top-notch work. When they ran into impediments or problems, their only interest was in solving them. In a few cases, I expect additional charges (beyond the bid), but they just took the work in stride. In short, I'd gotten used to contractors needing supervision and help, but Creative did such a great job it was actually nice having them around.

Through the Creative Fences & Decks website, I asked for an estimate for the removal of the old rotted-out cedar fence to be replaced with a creative fence on the east and south sides of the yard. I received a call from Mitica and we made an appointment for 8:30 AM several days later. The morning of the appointment, Mitica called about 8:20 and let me know he would be a little bit late due to heavy traffic. He arrived at about 8:45 and took measurements while we discussed what style of fence I wanted. Mitica showed me examples of creative fences on his I-Pad and I selected the style I wanted. I was impressed with how rapidly Mitica worked to provide an estimate and the fact that he called to let me know he would late; many contractors are not this courteous and respectful of others time commitments. I subsequently chose them to build the fence after receiving two other bids. Approximately 4-5 weeks later, Constantin called and asked if it was OK to start work the following Monday and if I would be available to discuss the job. We made an appointment for 8:00 AM on that Monday and he was prompt. Constantin discussed many items that I had not thought of, such as should the bottom of the fence be contoured to the ground, whether he could attach to the neighbors fence, and the style of gate. It was clear to me that Constantin wanted to make sure that I would be happy with the work they performed. I am very happy with the installed fence. They placed the posts 6 feet on center rather than 8 feet, they wrapped the pressure treated posts in cedar, and used clear cedar for the boards. Throughout the process, from initial estimate to cleanup, I was consulted as to what I wanted and well-advised on what would enhance the appearance of the fence. I enthusiastically recommend these folks; they do high quality work, are pleasant to work with, and are committed to satisfying their customers.

The guys were wonderful. The deck was really complex and it had three sets of stairs. They were very good and we really liked them. They did an awesome job. Mitica, the owner was great. He was very involved with both the design and the construction. He would come by every couple of days to check on the work. There were 2 guys that he had working every day and they were wonderful, very hard working, professional, courteous, conscientious, and they let us know whenever there was a question about how to handle something. They just worked so hard. It was right before Christmas and they were determined to finish by Christmas. They worked long, hard hours in the rain to do this. We were very impressed with both the work ethic and the quality of the work. The craftsmanship was outstanding. I would absolutely recommend them. I found them on Angie’s List. The cost was not that much considering the size of the deck.

Everything went really well--ahead of schedule, on budget, wonderful people to work with, and the end result is fabulous. Mitica really knows how to work with Ipe (tricky wood to work with); his website describes this specialty and has plenty of pictures of work he's done. I appreciated the suggestions he made for design (e.g. blocking, bronze instead of black aluminum, adding a face board to the upper deck, etc.) He gave me his bid the day he came to see the project (other contractors took over a week to send me a bid). he was very responsive, professional and pleasant. Highly recommend!

I got them from my realtor. His first name is Mitica and they were great. They were really good and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The men had to carry all the materials by hand. They could not use any machinery to carry the bags of concrete and all the lumber and everything. They kept the site beautifully clean. They worked very efficiently, and when they were done, they cleaned up everything perfectly. It was lovely and they were lovely people. They were really good and that is why I used their friends for the painting of the outside and refinishing of all the wood floors.

Friendly, on time of meeting and drawing up estimate. Great workmanship. Kind people. Good communication. The quality is amazing!! Finished product was wonderful! Highly recommend if want deck or fence. Very high quality designs and work.

Responsive timing to bid request. Price was toward high end but quality was very high so overall a good value. Construction crew is just excellent. I did not have a strict timing issue so they good miss a day if they needed to without hurting my schedule. Changed the original design a bit when a better idea came up. They have a good relationship with their suppliers and inspectors which helps the project management.

I've been getting compliments on my new-looking deck for several months! I just love it! My thanks go to Andre, Ove, Wes, and especially Constantin for all your good work to achieve the final results! I made a total color change and really appreciate the good work on power washing the old color, new wood where needed, applying the two new colors, and extra attention given by Constantin on everything! I'm full of superlatives here. Thank you!

I am very pleased with the end result. The ipe deck is first class, the cover with skylights came out looking fantastic. The brick patio is elegant and the new fence is substantial and very atractive. Mr Leontescu showed up on time for our first two meetings and provided a detailed quote with drawing on the spot. His crew was professional and polite. Mr Leontescu was very busy this summer. Unfortunately, he overcommitted from a scheduling standpoint. He failed to communicate effectively during the project, which created some tension. In addition he tends to forget that "the customer is always right". I would not hesitate to recommend Creative Fences and Decks. The end product is excellent.

Superior craftsman work, on time, excellent communication with both employess and owner. Both employees worked into the early evening to finish part of the project, very cold, icy wind, needed to use flashlights since it was after dark. I would recommend this company to my friends and family. Absolutely Superior.
