First let me say I had a great experience with this company 5-6 years ago. They did a lot of work. The craftsmanship was excellent, workers skilled & easy to be around. The person/owner who designed & oversaw the project was Mitica - professional & good to work with. Because of the good experience with Creative D & F, I called to have them remove & replace the fence. Mitica told me his brother Constantin, handled the fence work. We discussed what I wanted & work began w/in a few weeks; this time was a completely difference experience. Not professional or particularly skilled & not easy to be around. A few months after the work was completed I noticed the wood portion of the fence was shoddy & very flimsy. Within 6 months one of the upright boards came loose & was hanging. They used 5/8" upright boards on a 6' fence, which now seems to be a cost cutting measure. Within 6 months one of the boards was hanging. What a huge disappointment. I have hired someone else to repair & stabilize the flimsy fence and build & install the rest of the fence.

Working with Creative Fences & Decks was great. They were flexible in giving me two options for quotes to replace the existing (smaller) deck and then gave a suggestion on how to get the functionality and beauty of our backyard increased with a more functional deck. We went with the larger deck, and are so happy we did. The deck space and use within our backyard is increased our quality of time in that space. The team kept me up to date on the scheduled start date and finished within the time frame established at the beginning. I would highly recommend.

We received quotes from several deck companies in our area, and Creative Fence and Deck provided a competitive estimate, and thoroughly explained the materials, options, and alternative approaches (1,200 sq ft deck). The crew was friendly, did excellent work, and they continued even when their was inclement weather. We were going to use a black railing, and Mitica suggested the bronze railing, given the color of the deck and house, which we installed. We are very pleased with the workmanship and the look of the new deck! We highly recommend this company.

We were very happy with the work that Creative Fences and Decks did for us. From the first visit by Mitica to the final walkthrough by Vio everything was done in a careful and professional manner. Mitica examined the existing structure with care and told us what would and wouldn't need to be done to remove the old decking and replace it with new. He was good about offering options with a good explanation of what would be valuable for improving the infrastructure and what would be more optional. He explained various options for materials in decking and with the railing and showed photos of previous work done with the various options. He recommended that we visit the lumber yard where he gets his materials so that we could see the various deck materials in mock-up constructions. He answered all our questions and was patient when we made last minute changes. Most of the work installing the deck and railings was done by Vio who was a friendly, careful, and excellent craftsman. It was amazing that he did so much alone but the work he did was outstanding. He was careful in evaluating problems that came up and handled them expertly. His concern was always to be doing a quality job and not to find shortcuts to save time. He always included us in the updates of how the work was going and allowed us to make informed decisions along the way. The finished product shows his careful attention to doing things right. The job was completed at the estimated cost in spite of several things that came up in the old structure that needed their further attention. We are completely happy with our new deck and railings and would hire them again for any other work on our house that needed to be done.

Excellent. This company was prompt and did a fantastic job. Their price was competitive and the quality of the work was exceptional. We also added on some requests at the last minute and they were able to work with us to get it all accomplished. Very happy and would hire this company again.

This was our third project in six years with Creative Fences & Decks (they did other fencing, and built a front deck for us, too), and they've always provided top-notch, personal service and have executed flawlessly with a high level of skill and professionalism. They may not be the cheapest option, but they're the best. I work with a lot of contractors in my line of work, and I can't recommend these guys enough. If you want something built that will last, look as nice as possible, and done right, call Creative Fences & Decks. You won't be disappointed!

We needed replacement of wooden decking and rails for a large deck and wanted parts of it covered as well. The wood was replaced with composite decking and the rails with anodized aluminum. Adding covers required strengthening the original supports with new posts and beams. The covers were constructed and painted and required new roofing and gutters. It was a big job involving a superb construction crew and several subcontractors. All the workers were very professional and capable as well as hard working. The owner, MItica, checked in regularly to monitor progress, advise and help with choices, and answer questions. We are quite happy with the results.

I don't recommend them, but if you use them, make sure you have them pull permits. Our mistake for not doing so, and they did not attach the deck to the house legally (even though they said it would be to code). Then they wouldn't stand behind their workmanship when we tried to permit the deck after the fact. There were multiple code issues. Mitica was not ethical to deal with, and we had to have another company repair their poor work. We tried to file a CCB complaint, but the home had been sold and they said we couldn't.

Excellent. When looking for a contractor I narrowed the list down to Creative Fences & Decks and one other contractor. I was very impressed with Mitica Leontescu from the beginning; he had a strong quality focus, he openly discussed the pros and cons of different material options, and hand-drew a very clean rough draft of the plans right there at our first meeting. His crew was very friendly and did excellent work; there were a couple days when it was downpouring rain and his team just worked right through it. Estimated cost was accurate to the dollar. On the final walkthrough, Mitica highlighted a cosmetic issue which he's going to have his crew address free of charge. My wife and I are very happy with our new deck, as are our children who now spend much of their time running circles on it! We highly recommend Creative Fences & Decks and would gladly hire them again.

We had an incredible Ipe Deck built last summer across the back oof the house...and it still brings me joy every-time I look outside. Mitica was super helpful with the design, and Ely build it beautifully!!! I'm particularly picky when it comes to details and Ely was lovely about it and very collaborative. His craftsmanship and professionalism was impeccable. I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone who wants a beautiful deck. They're not the cheapest... but neither are the nicest / most quality things in life. Worth every penny.

Creative fencing and decks did an incredible job on my fence! They did it in clear cedar which is normally the most expensive cedar wood you can buy but managed to be very competitive vs other contractors. Super easy to work with and professional. They got the job done exactly the length they said it would take and left my house in better shape than when they started. Also a plus is they have a guy who makes custom steel powder coated supports that go into the concrete and stick out of the ground for the posts to attach to. Other competitors did not offer the same. This allows me to fix or replace sections without having to rip out future posts. I will be using them for future projects and referring them to friends and family.

From tear down and haul away of the old deck to the gorgeous finished product, we are extremely happy with our choice to go with Creative Fences and Decks.

I hired this company to install a deck, pergola and fence in my backyard in 2015. It took months to get the job done. I put a deposit down in March, and the job was not completed until August that year. That is not what this review is about though. The issue is that the pergola built over the lower level of my deck started wobbling and leaning a couple years after installation and feels like it is going to collapse. When I finally contacted the company earlier this summer, they asked me to text the information to them and said they would swing by to look at it. It appears that they never had any intention of doing this, since I never heard back from them. I again contacted them and again got no response. I'm also unhappy with some of the other finish details, such as not using galvanized nails/screws on the pergola, which has caused black rust streaks all down the cedar support posts. There is also a missing vertical slat in the fence which is somewhat hidden, so I didn't notice it at the end of the job. This is not the quality of work that I expected after reading all the rave reviews, and the post installation support leaves a lot to be desired.

Outstanding!!! From start to finish Creative Fences and Decks were AMAZING! Mitica, (the owner) came out and thoroughly discussed options, listened to us, and then provided input as to what we wanted to have done. He measured the space and came up with a detailed quote. Additionally, we needed to have our old deck (1300 sq ft) torn off and hauled away and they also did the same with a separate hot tub area. The foreman of our job, John, was incredibly detailed with an exceptional work ethic! They would arrive at 7am and work until almost 7 pm. The entire crew was professional and they communicated with us constantly as the work was being done. The job was finished earlier than anticipated and exceeded our expectations! I cannot say enough about this company and their work ethic and attention to detail!!! DO NOT go with anyone else...Creative Fences and Decks has to be one of the BEST companies we've ever hired!!!

We live on Bull Mountain and our house is on a steep lot. Creative Fences and Decks are one of the few companies in town that would even give us a quote. Mitica sent us John and I think(Zorri) to do the job...both are great at what they do. It's been 2 years and we are still happy with the deck. We had one split board and Mitica sent the crew out to fix it right away,

Contractor led me to believe that paint was included (he asked the paint color and noted it) and then did not paint fencing and gates supplied. He stated he made a mistake by doing this and then not clearly noting that it was not included. In the end I painted myself, but would not have hired him if I knew this was not included. He did nothing to remedy the situation after admitting to the mistake. I would not hire again.

Mitica Leontescu responded to my request immediately and set up an appointment. He listened to what my needs were and talked about the various choices for decking material. He explained the pros and cons of each material. I was impressed with his presentation and honesty and he was able to give me a bid on the project immediately. The job started on time and he made sure the crew understood the scope of the project. The lead crew member Constantin Leahu was very professional, knowledgeable, and skillful. He paid attention to details and made certain throughout the project that I was completely satisfied. The project consisted of a 14'x28' deck with 28' long privacy screen constructed with IPE wood. Being retired, I was present during the construction and was extremely impressed with the skill and and precision of Constantin's work. The framing for the deck installed was extremely well done using 2x10's and 4x10's. Very strong! The project was finished on time, and the crew kept the job site clean and picked up. The material used (IPE Wood) is expensive but it turned out to be a perfect choice, and was not the most expensive choice of material I had to choose from. I wood recommend Creative Fence and Decks without any hesitation.

My work with Creative Fences & Decks went wonderfully, without any hiccups. A family owned and operated business, I was comfortable from the first meeting with their representative for a quote that not only are they experts in their field, they take great pride in the craftsmanship, quality and aesthetics of their projects. Also, I didn't feel any typical sales pressure, instead it felt like a collaboration to see what I wanted and how to achieve it with different options. After I agreed on a scope of work, the project was started and completed in a timely manner, and very professionally. Any questions I had were responded to within a day via email. The final result is better than I had hoped. I'd definitely work with this team again.

We would use them again, we already had.

We have a most beautiful Ipe wood deck that overlooks the Coast Range and the Tualatin Valley. The deck is exceedingly handsome, sturdy, and elicits oohs and aahs from those who see it. We have it refinished every other year. The area out of the downstairs family room was covered so we can sit out and not get wet! Attention to detail was excellent... the deck fencing is wire and metal and becomes transparent... to save our view! The deck is about 1,000 sq. feet with a "living room" area and a covered "dining room" area and wraps the west side of our home.

Very satisfied. Would definitely call them again for future work on decks or fences. They did an excellent job, plus a little extra. They were on time the day of the job and completed the work in a single day as promised. They charge more than other companies, but are very proud of the quality of their work. It is a family-owned business. They build things to last longer, and do not suggest work unless it is needed. I felt very comfortable with the lead contractor, who met the rest of the team at the job, left to get another crew going, then came back to check the work. After the job was done, the lead on-site took photos to show. The next working day a truck came to pick up the wood that was torn out. They were very careful to pick up old nails - I only found two from the whole job.

The work done was fantastic. They did one third of the fencing, they did the other two thirds about ten years ago and it still looks great. So I know they do good work. This new fence looks fantastic. They are competitive on price. The quality is great. We had a huge wind storm months ago and the weather is not there fault so it took them a few months to get to me.

We're having them do something else for us next month. I have recommended them to neighbors.

Constantine showed me aesthetic alternatives and suggested the gate match my front door with glass windows. After a week, cedar was delivered and work began removing the old fence and finding a good placement for the new fencing. The job was completed in 3 days. Just stunning.
