Description of Work: Complete tearoff and disposal of ~330 SF deteriorated cedar decking, including fiberglass underdeck panels. Installed ipe replacement decking, including added (sistered) joist framing (new 2X12 PT joists were added and then screwed to the existing 2X10 PT joists to provide a composite framing system), and added new PT ledgers (with lag screws) at the house connection. All joists were covered with ice/water shield prior to installing the decking. All decking was screwed with SS fasteners. Added new galvanized/painted sheet steel underdeck panels with perimeter gutter system and downspouts. Added primed cedar fascia boards around the perimeter of the deck. Sanded and coated the deck planks with Messmer's UV Plus hardwood sealer. Cleaned up the jobsite before leaving. | |Mitica, Constantin and the crew (the two John's) did a good job of installing the deck. They were very responsive to my requests and immediately corrected a small issue I detected with missing ice/snow shield on a couple of joists. I would definitely recommend them for any decking work.

Description of Work: Creative Fences and Decks designed and constructed approximately 1,000 square feet of a multi-level Ipe deck. Mitica was very knowledgeable and had ideas for the project that no other contractor suggested, and was always responsive and available throughout the process. Once construction began, Constantine became the main point of contact. They arrived every day and were very thorough and diligent in their work. The deck is of highest quality! While their prices aren't the lowest, they aren't the highest either and there is tremendous value in Creative Fences and Decks.

The reason I might have come accross as not being very interested was due to the fact that as soon as I entered the door the customer mentioned that both her and her ten year old son were home sick. I have three little boys and had no desire to catch what was keeping them home. In addition the customer was waiting for her ten year old son to decide on what style of fence he wanted. It did not seem like a serious situation to me. I offer free estimates, I provide my valuable time and pay the gas to and from appointments with the hope of having a professional meeting. This was not very professional!
