They were on time and quite professional; I would have been happier if they had fixed the smoke detector problem instead of my having to do it, although they did tell me how to do it. I can't say whether the price was excessive, although it seemed high.
Description of Work: Reset GFI on outside lights; checked faulty smoke alarm system and found no problem. The problem reoccurred later that day. I dealt with it by buying and installing a new set of smoke alarms myself. We were charged $80 for 15-20 minutes of their time on-site.

Reported initially 2 days ago and was very pleased. Since then electrical inspector for Tigard came and looked at the work and gave it a ''FAIL'' because of a lack of a key grounding connection required by code. Owner said he would drop off parts so I could install them (not difficult), but 2 1/2 days later no parts. I finally went to Home Depot and bought the parts and installed them myself. Inspector said it is fine and gave me a pass. Winner is a loser.
Description of Work: Installed new electrical service to the house, new circuit breaker panel and new main breaker panel. Also installed whole house surge protector. Customer supplied all parts and cables/pvc.

Excellent. Prompt service, courteous people, good workmanship and a fair price.
Description of Work: Jack promptly showed up to assess the work we needed done and to provide a free bid. We needed to have a hole cut in our vaulted ceiling and wire fished down to an electrical source so that we could hang a ceiling fan in our bedroom. The bid seemed reasonable, so we agreed to have them do the work. They did an excellent job, the fan works beautifully, and the final bill was right in the range that we expected.

Came to give estimate and do the job at the times they said. Workers were courteous, but left the trench that the conduit was laid in uncovered. My husband and I had to fill in the trench after they had already gone. When I called the owner, he apologized, but didn't suggest that the price be reduced.
Description of Work: Bring electricity from electrical box on house to garage. 15 foot trench to lay conduit from house to garage. Install 2 plugs & 1 light.

THE TRENCH WAS INCLUDED IN OUR ESTIMATE, BUT HOMEOWNERS WANTED TO SAVE SOME $. SO THEY DECIDED TO DIG THE TRENCH, SO OUR ELECTRICIANS DID NOT FILL IT BACK IN BECAUSE IT WAS TAKEN OUT OF THE BID.

Although I was a bit surprised when they showed up at my door (I had no idea they were coming as they were contracted through the AC company, so someone dropped the ball somewhere along the line), the gentlemen were friendly and efficient. This was the most affordable quote I got for the hook-up as well.

The work was done correctly and thoroughly. The price was right too.
Description of Work: I had an open neutral connection on one of the 120 circuits. The service man had to go into the crawl space to eliminate a couple of light boxes there and then began a methodical search to find the disconnect switch. He succeeded and reconnected the loose neutral using a larger wire nut. I estimate the total time spent at about 2.5 hours or so.

Tony was great. The service call was for Friday and I was called with Debra saying that they had an opening Thursday afternoon. Tony was very friendly and helpful. Cleaned up before he left. I would recommend and use them again. I am working on a future project and will call them for service.

Keith and John did the rough-in work together. They were good guys to have in your place doing work. John has a rainbow of shirts that his better half bought for him. I like his pretty yellow one the best, but it will illicit a groan from him if you compliment him on it. Keith did all the rest of the finish work by himself. He was very patient when he had to correct some of the mistakes that I made. When Jack did the estimate for my place, he was very aware of ways to do things so that they looked nice but also saved me money. He was always checking in on things, to make sure everything was ticking away on schedule. I owe him some soup by the way. :) Debra is a sweetie and I always had a good chat with her when I called Winner. All in all, Winner Electric is a very personable company to do business with, and I will happily use them again. I had quite a project going on and they helped me out a lot. I couldn't be happier. Don't be a loser, pick Winner!
Description of Work: Did the electrical for a cafe I am opening in Gresham. Work completed includes wiring many refrigerator units, grills, pizza ovens and all sorts of weird little outlet plugs for my restaurant equipment. They put in track lighting, nicely changed the wiring on some cheapo Home Depot pendant lights I know they are cheap quality, but they were cute and made them work in the installed tracks. They wired up my vent hood which currently sounds like a 747 but the vent hood guy is working on that to quiet that down, so my cafe doesn't sound like a runway. :) The Winner boys were very patient with me in regards to my project. For example, I got some amp/watt info wrong on the spec sheets I provided and they nicely fixed it, even though it was my error. And I forgot to tell them about the ice machine that sits on top of the fountain pop machine. Whoops did that need a plug too? Well I guess so. :) All my inspections passed with flying colors, btw.

John and Vasily, the two electricians, were very professional, personable and efficient. They wasted no time in getting the assigned jobs done and also doing an on-the-spot request. They told me how long the job would take and completed it right on time. We will be using Winner Electric again for another project we have. We were very impressed with their work.
Description of Work: Two electricians arrived about 15 minutes early for the appointment. They set about their tasks: hanging a new ceiling light in the foyer and putting in a new ceiling fan in a bedroom. They also fixed my attic fan, something I had just thought of before they arrived. They did all the work professionally, efficiently, and with good humor.

Where they lack in promptness they made up in efficiency. My appointment was for 8 am. Tony was 45 minutes late. When I called to find out if he was coming, I was told I would get a call back. That call never came. Once Tony arrived, he did not apologize for being late but he did go straight to work and was finished in under 45 minutes. I was thrilled since the estimate was for two hours of labor. I can't speak much to the quality since we are talking about a ground wire which is hidden but one of the screws was not replaced on the subpanel and was found laying on the floor. Confusion came at the time to pay the bill. Again, my estimate was for two hours of labor. Tony had only worked 45 minutes. Tony charged me for the full two hours. He told me that the other hour and 15 minutes was for drive time. After some discussion I did receive a $46 discount to my satisfaction. In the future, estimates should be clear about what is considered ''labor.''
Description of Work: A ground wire was installed on a sub-panel next to the fuse box.

WE OFFER FREE ESTIMATES AND SUBMIT THE ESTIMATES TO THE CUSTOMER. WHEN THE CUSTOMER ACCEPTS THE ESTIMATE, WE SCHEDULE THE WORK AND CHARGE THE AMOUNT AGREED UPON. WE DO OFFER TIME AND MATERIAL BASIS, WHICH WOULD HAVE WORKED BETTER FOR THIS CUSTOMER. BECAUSE OF THE CONFUSION, WE REFUNDED $46.00, WHICH BROUGHT THE AMOUNT TO WHAT SHE WANTED TO PAY. A COMBINATION OF TRAFFIC AND A NON-WORKING PHONE CONTRIBUTED TO THE MAJORITY OF THE PROBLEM WITH THIS CUSTOMER. WE ARE NORMALLY PUNCTUAL AND EXTREMELY REPONSIVE TO OUR CUSTOMERS NEEDS.

My experience with Winner was most positive. Everyone with whom I spoke was knowledgeable, courteous and definitely customer service oriented. Casey was great. He was very friendly, communicated well and explained the process in terms an electrical illiterate could understand. I was impressed with the professionalism with which everything was handled and also appreciated his easy and outgoing demeanor. The charge for the services requested was quite low in comparison to a few other quotes I obtained, and I was and am very pleased with the result. I would hire this company again.
Description of Work: I hired Winner to install two ceiling fans and a 30 amp dryer outlet. The work was scheduled for 1/6/06 at 8:30 am It was pouring rain that day, and at about 8:45 a.m., Casey (the tech) called to let me know his ETA as he was stuck in traffic. When he did arrive, he went right to work. When it was discovered that he would have to move the brace for the fan in my bedroom (which would leave a visible hole), he explained the problem and asked if I wanted him to go forward. He also advised how and what I would need to cover the hole. The install took longer than expected due to the above, so he was unable to install the dryer outlet. Casey explained that he didn't have the necessary casing for the outlet in any event, but since no one came out to do a visual inspection before giving me an estimate and accepting the job, I was told I would not be charged for a return call. The following week Casey showed up early and corrected the outlet problem in no time at all and at no charge.
