Description of Work: Signature Landscape turned our small yard into a beautiful and useful outdoor paradise. We have an eating patio, a fish pond, and a meditation patio near the pond. Signature's pricing was at least 25% less than the other bids we received. Numerous trees provide shade and privacy, as the neighbors homes look down into the yard. Brian Smith, owner, listened carefully to our requirements, and his crew communicated to us any necessary on-site revisions. We are very proud of the way our unusable little bark pile of a yard has been transformed into a comfortable and welcoming outdoor space, an extension of our home!

Description of Work: I contracted with Signature to relandscape my back yard by taking my one level lawn with slope, and making it into a two tiered lawn with a 3 foot basalt rock retaining wall dividing the levels. The construction of the wall was fine, but the drainage problem, which was the main reason for the change, did not resolve itself. When I called in a second landscape company to look at Signature's work, they found that the French drains were not placed at the bottom of the wall to catch run-off, but rather only 4-6 inches below the soil surface at the TOP of the rock wall, rather than at the bottom, where gravity-and common sense dictates that the water would go. I had to hire a different company and spend an additional large sum of money to rip-out and replace drains and piping that collected the run-off and spirited it out to the street. Signature refused to negotiate a partial refund for the below-par and ineffective drainage work they installed, stating that they installed it "to code".The approximate date of service shown on this form is incorrect due to the Angie's List software that will not allow me to post the correct "approximate date" The date of service was Spring 2009.

Never heard back so called again and was told that they do not do regular lawn mowing and weeding, but mostly took care of fertilization, weed and pest control. Had he said that at first I would not have wasted my time calling back to see when he was coming to view my yard as he never called back - said he was really busy.

Jason is very thorough with his monthly report to us including details of what treatment was applied and tips for follow-up care. I would definitely recommend Signature Landscape Care.
