SIGNATURE LANDSCAPE CARE

I have been a customer of Signature Landscape for many years, but finally had to cancel my service with them. Over the years, I have seen their service level go downhill. I'm not sure if the original owners are still involved in the business or not, but something has changed since I first started with them. They used to come out once a month for treatments to our lawn and shrubs, which also included an annual aeration. Then they started charging for the annual aeration. In the last few years, they have gone from monthly treatments to 9 treatments per year and now it is down to about 6 treatments per year. They stated that with the type of fertilizer and other chemicals they use, it is not necessary for them to come out every month. I pay a monthly service fee for them to come up, regardless of how many treatments I get per year. At the start, the monthly service fee made sense because they were coming out every month. Now that they don't come out every month, I still continue to pay their monthly fee; otherwise, it's more expensive for the whole year if I paid them based on when they come out to do a treatment. During all of this time with Signature, I have seen increases in their monthly service fee, which had been very reasonable. However, in Nov 2018, they increased my monthly fee by over 20% (which in their letter notifying us of this increase, they considered it a "reasonable increase") and now 18 months later, they are increasing the monthly fee by 19%. As much as I wanted to stay with them, it was difficult to do so given the last two increases and the fact that their service quality is not as good as it has been in the past. Their service is okay, but not great. Our lawn stays green throughout the whole year, but I had bare spots pop up (which another lawn care expert said was due to insects) and had some weeds pop up that started to take over some sections of the lawn. I decided to try another lawn care service that is not as expensive to see if I see any difference between them and Signature.

They were great! They were very busy (early in the season), but fit me in and had my lawnmower ready to go in about a week. They also gave me tips to avoid trouble in the future.

Aric came to the property, reviewed our needs, and decided he didn't want us as a customer. This after agreeing to do our landscape care in late August. In my opinion he was unprofessional and had a chip on his shoulder. I cannot recommend this provider as a result.

Our back yard was at a slight incline with potholes and grass growing everywhere. Our very small front yard just needed new grass and sprinklers. For the back yard, we had Signature Landscape Care come out to slightly level it, put down all new top soil, lay down turf, put bark dust around the edges and put in a sprinkler system. They also put two drip lines in for 2 future garden boxes. They came on time, finished quickly and it looked great at first. Brian was very professional and just told us they would come back next Spring to adjust the sprinklers and the drip lines on the garden boxes if needed. Problems: #1 About 2 weeks later, we noticed the front yard grass did not go to the property line to meet the neighbors grass. The property line was obvious. Our neighbor even noticed. I called Brian and he said someone would come out the next week. No one did. I called again and he said it was too late with all the rain and they would come out as soon as they could. They never did. #2 I called in Srping as we needed to have sprinklers adjusted. I left 2 messages for Brian and never heard back. #3 This is the worst. Our entire back yard is a muddy. The grass is not thick at all. We cannot even step on it as it is so slippery with mud. There is not enough top soil to for the grass to grow. We are VERY careful with our grass. We do not cut it short. We keep it properly watered and fertilized. There should be no reason for it to look this bad. There is one blade of grass every inch or so. There is still a decent slope on the grass, there is just not enough top soil for it to grow. #4 From day one until now, there are a TON of mushrooms. They disappear some in the summer, but are always there. For this much money, our yard should look better than what we started out with. Our old back yard had pot holes and 5 different colors of grass, but at least we could use it.

Lawn was clean and beautiful every week. Envy of the neighborhood!

They were reliable. I like the fact that they just come and go. I can always contact them if I need them.

The company was able to squeeze my need in on short notice and deliver quality work. The went above and beyond on identifying all problems with my sprinkler system, and making the necessary adjustments in a timely manner. They did work with minimal impact to the lawn, and educated me while they were here to the work they were doing so I knew what was being done as a homeowner in case there were future issues, or I had to make any adjustments in the future. I would recommend them to others.

They are very responsive to my needs and I've used them for 18 years. They have not raised their price in years and they are very reasonable rates.

We moved 2500 miles away and needed some help with the yard. Signature did a good job at cleaning up the yard after our previous lawn care person did not keep up with it. We were getting ready to put the house on the market so it had to be done. They did a good job keeping the yard mowed, but I was disappointed with the amount of weeds we saw when we came to see the house.

We were told they would be out to give us an estimate and they were a no show. We called back and left a message 3 times without a call back.

They have reasonable rates for what I use them for. My yard has really perked up and is nice and green.

Eric and his crew have come by to mow my lawn and have done a good job. I like that I know they are coming on the same day. They are really careful with the gate; which is important when you have pets. They started spraying something in my lawn and I requested that they stop and they since have. They will be taking care of flowerbed soon, which is included in the price.

The price is very reasonable. Their responsiveness is excellent. Initially, the services offered for the price made me choose them; but these guys go above and beyond. They do stuff, they are not even asked to do. It is a good stuff. They do a really good. I hired them because I had a surgery and couldn't do yard work for a while. They have done such a good job that I just kept them.

They are very knowledgeable. They know what to do each time. It is a regular monthly service. Last year I had them do an additional service. I was having problems with my shrubbery. He knew exactly what to do and how to fix the problem. He did it for just the month that it needed it. He didn't try to prolong the service.

They were courteous, attentive and thorough. I have used them for years through work but was extremely impressed again today with their level of service. I will definitely be calling them back for all my jobs in the future. Thank you, Signature, for a job well done!

They were very professional, on time and good to work with. They also provided services after we moved out of our townhouse and it was vacant for a time. We have an HOA that takes care of the front yard now, and a very steep, challenging back yard now, but wouldn't hesitate to call Signature again for a quote to help us do general maintenance.

Signature Landscape provides monthly lawn treatment for me. Aric provides a detailed note telling me what services he performs and what steps I should take to enhance my lawn and what services will be provided the following month. I had Signature Landscape come out and fix 2 sprinkler heads that had been broken and 3 others that were having various issues. Dean came out and fixed all the problems and reviewed my system with me and made recommendations on how to improve my system. He also did some work to prevent the sprinkler heads being broken in the future. Signature Landscape came out and removed a large piece of lawn in my backyard. They were very professional and made sure before any work was done of what exactly I wanted. The only issue I had was that during this process they broke a sprinkler head that I had just had fixed but when I called the office Brian was very responsive and came out over 4th of July weekend to fix it himself.

We spend about $130 a month for their service. They are very consistent. Bill, the guy who handles the work is fairly responsive when I need to get in touch with them.

Initial service was satisfactory. The initial personnel were replaced by another crew that performed less landscape service. Numerous attempts were made to communicate the problem and express our dissatisfaction. Alternatives were suggested such as reduced billing or restore level of service. Company unresponsive and defensive for several months. Services terminated.

Equipment repair was peformed on time as promised and equipment perforned well. Consulted on winter shutdown and referred to local spring startup specialist who reported testing to City. Very professional and personable staff. Locally owned and knowledgable a;; facets of yard care and landscaping. Would be a first choice for future work becasue of their knowledge and honesty. Quality company, price competitive.

I had received bids from several contractors, and while Signature's wasn't the lowest bid 9they were the second lowest), I decided to use their services for two reasons. First, my neighbor uses their landscaping services on a regular basis, and has always been pleased. Second, after speaking with Brian, he said that he would honor the bid not just for 30 days, but for long as I needed to make a decision- even if we decided to postpone the work. We scheduled the work for July, but someone showed up at the end of June ready to go. We did not receive advanced notification of the change in schedule, even though we had preferred to have the system installed earlier. Fortunately, my husband was home, and was able to allow the work to begin. They completed the work in less than 2 days, and cleaned up well. Unfortunately, the crew seemed to sneak on and off the property- not introducing themselves on arrival, and not saying goodbye on departure. My husband wanted to have a word with them before they left, but they left before he could get their attention. No one showed us how to use the controller- though we figured it out just fine. That said, they honored their price, and did quality work. That winter, just before a cold spell, I wanted to winterize the system, but didn’t know if it was self-draining, or if the pipes need to be “blown out”. I called Signature to ask how I could go about it myself, and they were at my house in 15 minutes to show me! Fortunately, I only needed to shut the valve, and drain the line. The fact that he came over so quickly to show me, and walk me through it said a lot. I’ve never had any problems with the system since.

The fertilizer they used didn't do much to my yard. The irrigation system was watering the lawn to much and was drowning the grass. No one bothered to turn the system off or adjust it. Their follow through was awful and the chemicals they were using on the lawn were not effective. They also walked over a plant and broke it when they were here once. They lawn itself looks fair but their service always seemed rushed. They didn't use the care I felt was necessary when taking care of my lawn. The cost listed is per visit. They visited an average of once a month.

I had the ability to talk and meet with the owner of the business, and have been working with Aric Bail (the man who takes care of my place) and have been nothing but happy.

Overall the work was OK there was some problems getting gates closed. I believe we did not receive all of the services paid for.
