We were very pleased with the way the house was prepped for the work and the workers themselves. The cabinets look fantastic. A couple of drawer fronts were separating and you would never know it to look at them now.

It went great. They finished on time. The workers were smart, friendly guys who were careful with our home. Everything was as promised. There was one small mistake where some stain got onto the wallpaper and they sent out a restorer, at no charge to us, to fix the problem and she did a perfect job. We couldn't be happier and our kitchen looks new.

It went fabulously! They were very helpful in the decision making process & did a great job. Absolutely pleased with the whole experience - start to finish. They were on time and did what they said they would do. We also used Crowley's Granite Concepts for the new counter tops and they were fantastic as well (will do separate review but wanted to mention as much as possible).

The process went extremely smooth and all the work was completed in 3 days. Our cabinets were oak and we wanted them refinished the in the same fashion so they would look like new. The crew sealed of our kitchen and got to work striping, sanding, staining, and clear coating our cabinets. They were very respectful of our home and cleaned up well at the end of each day and then very thoroughly when the job was completed. We were extremely pleased with the end result and think it was a great value as well.

It went so smoothly. They have the system down. A zipper wall was created to keep all dust in the kitchen. All doors were removed and taken to the shop. The work with cabinet frames began the first morning. The job began on a Monday and was essentially done on Friday. The crew kept me informed of when they would be leaving and when they would return. The dust did not leave the kitchen area and they cleaned it thoroughly when finished. We were very pleased with Dave's attention to detail and responsiveness to any issues as they came up. The cabinets look beautiful and we could not be more pleased!

I'd hire them again--- they were very spot on with their advice, timely with all work done, professional and good to work with. They did what they said they'd do, and when they said they'd do it. While a few of our details were maybe not as they'd envisioned (the crown modeling shape and color choice), the went ahead with our requests and helped us finish off one of the most important pieces of this remodel. We are super happy with the results, and think the price is definately worth the result. I've attached before and after pictures, as well as one "in progress." Everything was masked to keep disruption to the rest of the house at a minimum, their crew was timely and polite, and with a few glitches at the end promptly resolved the problems. I'd use Refinish First wo reservation.

They restored the original finish. The cherry wood still comes through nicely and they look like new with a really durable finish. Much more cost effective to restore the finish than any other option. Refinish First did superior work and was very professional and accommodating to me when I threw them a curve at the last minute. I wish all my contractors were this reliable and easy to work with.

David built a plastic enclosure to contain the dust, and protected the counters and wood floors carefully. The cabinets were a challenge--the finish had been impacted by the sun in odd places that were not easy to see in every light. But they kept after it until the finish was completely restored. No one would know these cabinets are 14 years old--they do look like new! In all of our interactions, Refinish First was professional, available, and on time. We so appreciated their dedication to great customer service and the quality of their work--we would certainly recommend and use them again!

WONDERFUL! I couldn't believe how they put up protective sheeting, got right to work, were professional yet friendly, and I got great results. My cabinets look like new. I even tipped each person $50 - and got a THANK YOU note from one of them. Talk about a class act.

Dave, Claire and crew are fantastic. They did a beautiful job and were very clear about what would be done each day and what we could use and could not use in the kitchen . They cleaned up every night to make the rest of the house livable and easily accessible. The finished result was really lovely with crown moldings, well fitted doors and a clean finish. They were great about coming to adjust some hinges once the work was done. The crew seem to enjoy each other's company and we were pleased with how hard they worked to make our kitchen look spectacular.

We are extremely pleased with the quality, attention to detail, and absolute commitment to making the customer happy. They were in constant communication with us, making sure we were happy, and scheduling the work. They showed up when they said they would. This project required a lot of spray painting, but they very carefully put up plastic barriers and kraft paper on the floor. We had zero overspray problems. Our project was complex, and they provided excellent suggestions regarding cabinet pullouts and design details. We are especially pleased with the pullouts for trash/recyling, and the heavy-duty pullout for the tall KitchenAid mixer. We hadn't known these features were available. Kitchen remodels are stressful, but it was truly a pleasure to work with Refinish First.

David and Claire were a comfortable couple to deal with from the get go. They are down to earth and want you to have the kitchen that YOU want, not that they pick out for you, but will make smart suggestions as needed. We were trying to match some hinges for some of the mismatched cabinets the previous owner installed and Claire was very helpful with that process, it may take a little bit, but it was worth the wait. We had all 17 doors and 8 drawers refinished in our kitchen and added hardware that was never there. We had the insides of the cabinets painted as well, which looks super sharp! That is probably my favorite part! The home's previous owner rigged a shelf below a half-sized cabinet to make it almost a full sized cabinet, Refinish First did some woodwork and actually built a real shelf that matched the others and then added FULL SIZED doors to make it a perfect match to all the others! Since we didn't have the countertops in the plans this time around, they were nice to paint the wood trim of the existing countertops to match to white cabinets! The crew with David was respectful and kept the areas outside of the kitchen organized and clean. They used paper in the hallway to the door so paint or anything else wouldn't be dropped on the floors. The entire kitchen floor and walls were masked off with paper as well. Ceiling and a divider wall were all covered with plastic. Everything stayed very clean. They left a zipper wall into the kitchen and used masking paper and taped off the fridge, but we could still use it at night. The whole process of priming, sanding, building, painting and installing took 5 days. We are super happy at the job that Refinish First has done!!! For the price of just a few brand new cabinets we have a brand new, bright, seemingly bigger kitchen and its all thanks to David, Claire and the crew at Refinish First, LLC.

David and his team were great! David came by as scheduled and gave us great advice regarding sources for replacement hinges. He followed through in repairing a damaged drawer and resonded as promised when our new hinges arrived. His team was professional, efficient and did a great job! I highly recommend the company and will definitely call when in need of a larger cabinet restoration.

I have a lot of cabinets....42 cabinet pulls in all! Refinish First painted the original cabinets that were installed in the mid 70's. They were wood and stained a dark brown color. They had no cabinet pulls. I chose a more bold color, which is a mid blue-grey-green color. And I LOVE IT! The crew arrived exactly on schedule. The first day was prep day, removing the drawer faces and cabinet doors and completely masking and blocking off any part of the kitchen NOT to be painted. They spray painted cabinet boxes on day 2 and painted the cabinet drawer fronts and doors on day 2-4. Reinstallation was done on day 5. They also installed new cabinet and drawer pulls. Everything went according to schedule (crew arrived on time, were pleasant to work with, and cleaned up after themselves) and was done very well. The cabinets look amazing...I absolutely love them! Dealing with Claire Luton (one of the owners) on the extent of the job (I had several versions estimated) and the scheduling was great. Couldn't have asked for better. I am completely happy with the job.

This is a great company to work with. Every step in the process from getting the bid to having the work scheduled and completed on time went smoothly. They did a wonderful job and our cabinets look great. They are very nice people and very easy to work with. Will be calling them again if we have any other needs in the future.

Claire came over & gave us the original bid. Dave came over later to look at the louvered doors to make sure they could be successfully refinished. The first day the crew arrived they put down tarps, rugs, & paper & taped it all down. As the work progressed Dave put up plastic sheets to keep the dust controlled. They had to mix a color for the doors to match their original color & they got it spot on; I'm absolutely delighted! It only took 3 days to complete the work; which was amazing to me. We had a total of 11 doors; 6 were louvered & we also had a built-in buffet & front window surround included in the work. I strongly recommend this company; their work & attitude is outstanding.

When we bought it 6 months ago, our midcentury modern home still had the original 1964 appliances--a turquoise electric cooktop, a turquoise vent hood with pushbuttons that operated the cooktop, and, in another part of the kitchen, a very small built-in turquoise oven. We wanted to preserve the original 1964 cabinets with modifications to accommodate a standard freestanding 30-inch stove and new vent hood. We also wanted to repurpose the former housing for the built-in oven as an alcove for a microwave and toaster oven. In addition, we wanted to refine a modification by the previous owner that involved removing some doors from hanging cabinets over an el counter to create open shelves, which opened the kitchen visually but left a low, previously enclosed shelf in place that presented a hazard to every passing head. Refinish First accomplished all these goals in a single day. The result preserves the best of a lovely original design while achieving the functionality and safety desired in a kitchen for today. We have already engaged them to modify the cabinets in our daughter's craftsman home to accommodate a dishwasher.

We are VERY happy with our new kitchen. Claire and Dave (and Rudy) did a magnificent job from beginning to end--dealing with our ever-changing decisions on color, styling, etc. Everything was done on time and in great working order. They had to come back to solve a small problem and did so willingly and sooner than expected.

They did a great job and made sure we were happy with everything. They adjusted work hours to accommodate our schedule and cleaned up thoroughly every day.

The owners, Claire and Dave are an absolute joy to work with. Within a week of contacting them, Dave came out and measured and Claire submitted an estimate shortly thereafter. We accepted the bid and Claire scheduled the start date. Just before 8:00am, on that day and every day thereafter, Dave and his crew were parked in the driveway and ready to work. They worked all day on the first day to prep the work areas by covering every single surface that wasn't being treated, including the windows, ceiling, floor and walls. The crew worked hard for two straight weeks to deliver the kitchen and family room of my dreams. Their attention to detail is second to none. They cleaned up every single night and were very mindful of the fact that we were still living in our house while the work was being done. Dave and his crew are extremely professional, courteous, friendly and simply go out of their way to make sure the client is happy. Dave is also a master carpenter. He built me some new cabinets and drawers to match the existing ones. Dave and Claire take great pride in the work they do and I would highly recommend Refinish First for your cabinet refinishing job!!

Horribly. Day one got yelled at and left for day two....work went well for few hours and then Dave, owner, completely lost his marbles in front of me and his employee. Absolutely out of control and completely unprofessional. In fairness to him, he did finish the job and cried as he apologized to me. Never use them

They came out to look at the job and provided an estimate, which lacked all sorts of details that we went over in the meeting. Requests to clarify the estimate were responded to very slowly. In the end, they declined the job because they felt offended by my repeated questions to clarify the spec and unexplained estimated cost increase. This was a disappointing experience and a time-waster. If you are ok with vague estimates, then go ahead and hire them and take a chance. Otherwise, either demand upfront that you want detailed estimate or look elsewhere.

These guys are great, honest people who want to do quality work. We were preparing our house for sale and wanted to touch up the window frames - they squeezed us in on the tight time frame and gave us a fair deal to touch up just as we wanted. Thanks a million!
