Refinishing first is a wonderful company! David and Claire performed great quality and professional work refinishing our cabinets. They were friendly, hard-working, detail-oriented and trustful people! Great service and affordable price too! Highly recommended!

Made an appointment weeks ago to get an estimate to reface my cabinets. During the initial call, I was told they were booked out until October, which was fine. Took time away from work for the estimate visit just so that I could get an email saying that “my project would not be a good fit for them at this time”. I will happily go elsewhere.

The whole process was well managed from the original quote to the final touch up. David is detail oriented, punctual and skilled. Any concerns or issues I had were immediately addressed. I am a General Contractor and consummate Virgo so am hard to please. The final result, as you might be able to tell from the pictures, is nothing short of stunning.

We chose this company based on Angie List reviews and services offered. The cabinet finish restoration went well. However, the project was mostly assigned to employees who had limited skills compared to Dave and Claire, particularly in the installation of revolving shelves chosen by Refinish First. The costly unit selected by Refinish First failed after 2 years and after weeks of communication and investigation the manufacturer determined it was incorrectly installed. It stood behind the product however and shipped a new unit. Refinish First was too busy to follow up and discontinued contact. Perhaps two years is too long to expect a business to stand behind its work.

We wanted out kitchen remodeled but with the prices on a large galley kitchen would be well beyond out pocket book. We found Refinish first at the home show. They came out and gave a free estimate which we had in just a couple days. We couldn’t of made a better choice in a company and their professionalism. I'm not sure who Refinish First LLC are but if it is the same as Josh at Superior Refinishing Northwest than he did a great job and I would definitely hire him again with other projects. The price was more than reasonable. By other cabinet people I was basically told my cabinets were beyond repair and fresh pain and for at least $10,000 and above they could do the job. The job Josh did was well below $5,000.

We interacted with the owners, Claire and Dave. They always returned our calls and even if they did not have an answer to our question, they will find out and return our call. We had a very positive experience with them. Their team was punctual, professional, considerate, hardworking, efficient. and went above and beyond to clean everything up afterwards. We had our kitchen cabinets refaced (which cost only a fraction of replacing all of them) and we are very happy with the results AND the experience we had with Refinish First. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who is considering refinishing/refacing their cabinets instead of getting all new ones.

Great service from bid to project completion. I would definitely recommend and already have to my friends and family. New cabinets look great crew was very nice. They completed the job early, too!

the finished work looks great and even better than I had anticipated! David and crew made some great suggestions, after assessing our space, making our kitchen area look even better. The entire team was always on time, courteous and professional. Even though they returned the following morning, they were always great about cleaning up each night Even from the start of the process, Claire provided us with the most thorough estimate (compared to two other companies) so we clearly understood what our costs were. I am absolutely pleased with the great results! I would definitely recommend them wholeheartedly!

I am 100% happy with our decision to go with Refinish First. They were very clear though every bit of the preparation and planning process to help us make decisions about the project. Claire and Andi made the steps of the process crystal clear, and then the crew did exactly what they said they would do. They arrived on time, explained the process, and worked professionally. They were courteous and followed through with every detail, down to meticulous cleanup and replacing hardware. I couldn't ask for a more streamlined and complete task, and the kitchen looks fantastic!

We are very pleased with the process and the results. It exceeded expectations. The crew of Luis, Krista and Jonathan worked hard and made our cabinets look new again. They cleaned, sanded, stained and coated with polyurethane. They checked their work as they went along and made sure everything was right. At the end they cleaned all the shelves, put on fresh little bumpers, adjusted all the doors and oiled the drawer slides. No more nicks or water stains, and the cabinets match the other existing cabinets just as we wanted.

We were thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and quality of work done by Refinish First. We opted to have our builder basic cabinets painted and refaced, which also gave us the opportunity to customize our layout w/ additional drawers, soft close hardware & new cabinet pulls. From the bid to the completion of the project, Claire, David & the onsite crew were a pleasure to work with. They showed up each day on time, made sure to completely cover our floors and create a zipper room to keep the construction confined as much as possible. The end result speaks for itself. Our builder basic kitchen was transformed into a custom kitchen at half the cost of getting new cabinetry. We had a lot of other contractors in and out of our house during our project and Refinish First put them all to shame with their extreme attention to detail, punctuality and professionalism. We can't recommend them enough!

Refinish First does BEAUTIFUL work! They had done our kitchen cabinets several years ago. We hired them again for painting a built-in media center and a built-in desk/file wall. The results were stunning....made both walls look much higher quality than the underlying cabinetry deserved! David and Claire are both wonderful to work with. This company, while not inexpensive, does A+ work hard to find. Very professional.

This rehab was A W E S O M E ! ! ! The transformation the team made to the woodwork is stunning. They were on time, clean (lots of prep to the house) and very polite.

Refinish 1st was really to negotiate on the price. They showed up the exact minute they had scheduled and brought a crew of highly trained and polite workers. The job was completed as promised and they cleaned up afterwards.

The entire process went well. I’m pleased with the work as well as the workers. The staff are Very professional, thorough, excellent communication throughout the process, and knowledgeable. After the project was completed they also did a great job cleaning/clearing the kitchen. Highly recommend this company.

They were awesome! They were on time, worked very hard and fixed every little detail we saw that needed to be fixed. The quality of the workmanship is exceptional. Our kitchen looks a thousand times better.

The whole process was very well done - everyone followed through with schedules as planned. The process did take a few days longer than originally planned. Everyone involved was friendly, explained the process and plan. I really appreciated the attention to detail from everyone, from the owners David and Claire and everyone else on their team.

We scheduled an appointment for a Tuesday evening. We were pleased that she was available to visit later in the day as scheduling with contractors around work hours can be troublesome. Some miscommunication resulted in her having the appointment time wrong but we were still available so no one was inconvenienced. The walk-through went smoothly and she seemed eager to provide us with a bid. She mentioned that it would take four business days to prepare the bid and we asked if it could be done in three so that we could compare with other bids we were receiving. She said she would try. That was a week ago. We have not received any further communication from them - no bid, no phone calls, no e-mail, complete silence.

Everything went very smoothly from getting the estimate, to scheduling, to completion of the project. We thought it would take 2-3 days for the work to get done, but with 3-5 guys working on the two bathrooms, everything was completed in one day. We were very pleased with how the workers protected our carpets and surrounding areas, as well as their thorough cleaning up after the job. The workers were pleasant, respectful, and professional.

The cabinet fronts were cleaned and stained their original color. All hinges were replaced, and handles added. In addition, a kitchen window frame and a door frame were sanded and refinished. The job was done well: the kitchen now looks great! Claire and David were easy to work with, and Luis and his crew did excellent work. Everyone went out of their way to please us, the customer, including chasing down the correct hardware for the job.

The Company was very responsive to our request. It was a small job, but they were extremely helpful and completed repairs as promised in a professional manner. I'd certainly call them for future work.
